Yellow Sun Storm

(4 reviews) Write a Review
An extra thick, highly reactive urethane cover, in combination with a small Superdense weight block, creates an extraordinarily aggressive and versatile ball. Its magnified reactions make it a favorite of exotic drillers. Not for the timid.

My buddy found this ball at a garage sale for 10 bucks and talked the lady down to $5. He doesn't have much ball speed so the ball still matched up with oil of todays average shot. Great length, smooth turn, and decent pop on the back end. More ball speed or a heavy hand would probably kill it but it is a great match for his type of game. He also carries the old ORANGE Pirahna in his bag so we have dubbed him the Easter Bunny. He has a hard time with the newer, more aggressive balls on the market but holds his own (185+ ave.) with his chosen arsenal. Would recommend either to anyone with low revs and ball speed.

First off I found this ball at a yard sale 2 days ago and boy did i get lucky! At first I saw just a bright yellow ball from the side of the road so i went over looked at the ball and sure enough its the Yellow Sun Storm. I asked the the guy how much and he said take the hole set..im like what... he had a Yellow Sun Storm, and a Red Sun Storm! both for only 15Bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only that, when i got the balls back to my shop, the finger pitches and everything where the same. After a small amount of cleaning and I do mean small the ball came out looking great. I polished it with 1000grit/wet with a bit of hook it and control it. I used it last night in my Bulls@#$t league and shot 751 with it. So if you can find one grab it! Its great for those 5 board shots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This ball has so much hook that it hooks in the parking lot. I have to start at 29 board, throw out to 1 board, all while breaking my wrist just to keep it right of the head pin. I hit this ball at 3000 grit polish and it still ignores oil like the plague. I have it drill with the pin at 1:30, with a 5.5 inch pin out. I would hate to have to throw this ball with a 10:30 or flip leverage drilling. If you hold the oil and I'm holding this ball...JUST BRING IT!!!!

WHAT A GREAT BALL. EVERYONE WHERE I BOWL THINKS THIS IS AN EBONITE SNUFFY AT FIRST. HAHAHAHAHA. I DONT THINK SO. SINCE THE TURBO, THEY HAVENT MADE A BALL THIS GOOD. NEWAYZ, PICKED THIS UP OFF THE NET AND I LOVE THIS BAD BOY. NOT HOOK IN A BOX BUT A GREAT CONTROL BALL. ROLLS A LITTLE LATER THAN MY TURBO AND SOONER THAN MY XCALIBUR FOR MY RETRO BAG ARSENAL. MINES 4X4 AND IS GREAT ON CONDITIONS WHERE YOU NEED CONTROL FOR A BIT UNTIL THE LANES OPEN UP. I KNOW I KNOW ITS NOT ONE OF MY BUZZSAWS BUT ITS GOOD ENOUGH TO FIND A SPOT IN MY BAG.<scr
