I already made a review in September 30 2003 as thunderdome now here's goes for round 2! I got this ball for 15$ and almost new accept it was drill 2 time so it sure it will be less powerful but it's ok for the moment. I drill the ball in my finger and it feel comfy when i played. The hook is a bit less aggressive as the old one and i know the reason but thats fine. It still do a great job on the lane. With this ball condition of oil it's medium oil but in reality it medium to heavy oil. Overall i'm happy to have it back!

Absolutely loved this ball. I could play almost anywhere on the lane as long as I wasn't playing straight up the boards. Big swing to small swing, tight line to open line. This ball flat out carried all ten in the pit. This ball helped me win alot of money in jackpots and brackets for about a three year span in the early part of this decade. Unfortunately the ball finally died and needed to be replaced. I led the league in average for 2 years and was in the top 5 the third year with this ball until Westgate lanes closed. Even though the I never shot 300 or 800 there I still miss the place.

I originally got this ball for dry conditions, so I had my driller set it up for less hook than my normal throw. It became my spare ball/dry lane ball for about a week. Then, when my game hit a slump, I tossed this one as my strike ball cause I was bored... and boooy was I suprised to find just how well this ball finishes!!! Unfortunately, I have to play in the driest part of any lane to get it to hook into the pocket because of my drill set-up, but this ball is very good and is probably my favorite in my current arsenal.

I owned five of this ball and tried many layouts. Each layout worked very well. I gave away 4 of them to freinds and they loved it too. It helped their game. The last one I got I just resurfaced after two years of use and it looks and works as if it was the first day I got it.(2004) So many 600's, 700's series and 279's on this ball. Just last week I got a nine in a row I guess I grabbed it on the 10th frame and it left me a nine pin. If you can find one new or used get it and just take good care of the coverstock by proper maintenance and you will be amazed on how this ball will payoff in your physical and mental game.

I got this ball when I first started bowling 3 years ago. I got it from my teacher. He sold it to me, I used it with 2 fingers. Boy did that ball hook. About 3 months after I got it I was bowling in league and I used it to bowl my first 600 and a year later it was the ball I used to bowl my first 700. As of late I havent been able to get the damn thing to hook. Hell it could be dead.....or I could possibly need to take the oil out of it. Anyway, this ball just rolls smooth to the pocket and destroys. The best first ball I had.

This is the best ball I have ever thrown. Granted I have only been bowling for 6 years and have only had like 7 balls. This was my 2nd high performance ball purchase and I have bought 4 other balls since but still use my trauma more than anything. The shot is super consistent and really hits the pins hard. Other balls I have thrown are sensitive to little mistakes like dropping you speed or not enough fingers in the ball but my trauma doesn't seem to punish me for making these small mistakes(most of the time). If you can find one, get one. If you don't want one, let me know cause I want another!

This is a great ball. I didn't like it at first because it wasn't drilled right. I got my shot after I had a problem with the a chip. After it was fixed (by a good ball man) wow, pocket shot every time. the hitting power was great BANG. Now you have to keep it clean, and your speed up, but if you do you will love the power and the bang that goes with it. For a ball that was my spare ball, the pro-shop was the cure. Ok I also like the smell. Storm, your the ball

I eard talking the first Trauma and i saw in the internet than the trauma was not a great ball but just for somes people mayby because the ball don't reactive or someone sais "This Ball Suck" or else. I was belive it than they say in the internet. But Than i saw this ball in the bowling pro shop i told on the guy i will try that ball for a little wile. Iplay with this ball. In started i have a little dificulty to controle it but after 3 shot, i found the track on that lane and the trauma react very good and he have a great hook on this ball. The Trauma is not a bad ball after hall. A suggestion ? Try this ball Right now!!! if you can find that ball.

Overall very good ball, go out and get one. I haven't tried the new X-factor Deuce or Re-loaded yet but the trauma is a favorite in my book right now. I have no Idea why STORM discontinued this ball it is just so awesome. I got my mine used for free from a friend so I'm not complaining about the price but even if I did have to fork out the money for one I probley would. Im probley gunna try the X-factor Re-loaded and see how that is. Im sure it will be pretty sweet just as the Trauma was.<s

I got this ball instead of getting the Sonic X and im glad i did. This ball has ben nothig but money since the day i got it. I shot my highest game of a 276 with this ball. At first i sanded it. But it hooked way to early for me i like for the ball to go about 40 ft then just snap to the pocket and thats what this ball does. And i love it. This ball never lets me down when i need it. It doesn't leave me that many spilts either i can throw the worst shot in the world and it'll rarly leave me a split. If u take care of this ball it will take care of u. When this ball starts to die im gonna get another one to replace it. This is a ball i will have in my bag for a long time. With this ball my ave has gone up over 20 pins. If ur looking for a great ball u found it.

Man whats a better ball than the trauma. None of the other storm balls. This ball has been my number one ball. This ball is a good carrying ball. Man this ball can hit hard and carry. You tell me whats wrong with a ball that carrys. The Trauma Recovery is there worest ball they had ever made. Man everybody says this ball is the same. Number 1 bowling ball on the bowling week or the ball of the year. I tell you this ball is going to be one of there best bowling balls they ever made. Storm you should be proud of this ball.

Don't know why other people don't really like the ball but I think it's great. I can make the ball hook really well if needed or pipe it down to the pocket. The ball will do what you want it to do. My average has jumped up to the 200 range since I bought it. I recently bowled a 279 with a totally solid 8 pin with it and have rang off 600's like it's nothing. Even if the lanes dry out all I have to do is move left and it stays true to form.<s

Storm has made one of the greatest balls with this one. when its too dry outside i just move and create some area up the middle put a few revs on it and get some major hollywood hook outta this thing. Or i can send it long and smash the pocket with some major backends. first time i threw this ball i shot no lower than 240 it hits like a ton of bricks. this ball is great pick one up if you can find one i can't think of anything else to say so im gonna b/s till 100. i think that should just about do it.

I think this ball is perfect in my opinion. I threw my highest series ever with it, and this is a year and a half after getting the ball from my friend Lisa Bishop. So, I recommend this if your lookin for a good high hook ball but, be careful of the shot tendancy you might get with it. The smell can also get annoying from time to time, so otherwise just let the ball crank, and hopefully you'll shoot 3's with it. I Haven't yet, the highest I got was 257. So, have fun with this ball, if you get it.

This ball does just what it's supposed to do. Baby it a little. Slow down, don't over-adjust. I have raised my average by up to 19 pins because it's worked so well for me. Or is it just because I'm left-handed? I think not. Just use your head, find the right line (lefty or righty alike) and you'll be fine. I've used nothing but Storm since I bought my Thunderstorm about 7 years ago, I think that's right. And I can't complain because of how far it's helped me with my game.

I've read the other reviews of this ball and, as contradictory as it might seem, experienced all of what they express. I'm a lefty, and I put "a bit" of lift on the ball. My Trauma is drilled up with the pin out and the CG a bit outside, with axis drilling. Basically it's set up to go really long with an out-of -the-house hook right at the end. Well, that's what I get, and it's GREAT... as long as I'm on an oil pattern that allows it. If there's more than 3 games of carry-down in back I have to start holding back on the speed, but if the pattern is buffed back far enough I have to give it some extra juice which puts me in danger of entering corner pin hell. Bottom line: I like mine for what it can do, but I thank GOD I have stuff for the other 70% of the time.

Overall review it sucks for a high priced ball. What a waste of $180 dollars or so I spent on it with drilling. I had one game out of the box for 289 the fourth game with it. It doesn't recover well and carrydown will just make it look like a piece of crap going down the lane. This ball is now my official ice bowling ball and fishing anchor. Did i mention it was tracked out after 50 games but it stills smells nice. Not much positives to say on this ball but alot of negatives. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BALL!!! Not alot of good storm products coming out lately. Very disappointed in the Storm company for making such a crappy ball and now that you mention it they haven't really had a good ball since 1999. I hope this helps out people who where going to buy this ball. Spend your money on Elixer Pearl or Monster Screamer you wont be disappointed.

Well, almost a month has past since I started using it again and since I wrote the review and it hooks even more than before. I got it redrilled to get further down the lane and snap harder into the pocket. Even on heavy and long oil it will hook from the fourth arrow to the second arrow from the right gutter. Then when the lane starts to dry up, I just move over to the left and throw it further out. But I can't pick up 9, 6, or 10 pin because of the dry. Overall, a much better ball for me once it was redrilled.

Had it for about a year and I'm pleased to say that it has helped me get a better prespective on being more consistant. Before this ball, I averaged about a 150-160. I got this ball and within the first month, my average jumped 15 pins. Then I recommended this ball to a good friend of mine who needed a ball for house and tournament shots and his averaged jumped a wopping 30 pins! After about nine months, I put this ball away for a while, but now I use it only for spares anywhere on the lane and it is truly amazing.

This ball sucks. I think that this is the worst ball that storm ever produced. i thougth that this ball was decent when i first got it ( thats the reason for the 2 pins) but after 60 games the ball is dead. At first when i got it it would hit decently hard and finish good. But after that 60 game mark it doesnt finish at all. This ball is the ball that made me switch companies from storm to columbia. This ball is horrible, well if u wanna buy it for sixty games go ahead but my advise when you hit the 60th game get rid of it.

i purchased the storm trauma over the summer b4 my leagues started - i drilled this ball 10:30 pin inbetween the fingers about 2" high - this ball didnt hit for anything when it hit any kind of oil- an when i rolled this ball on a dry condition it hooked too much - i worked with the cover an got the same result. so i tried a new drillin - 12:00 pin above the ring finger - gave me more length but that was about it - this ball still didnt carry anything an i still got too much over under on this.<

I had my Trauma drilled to go long and snap really hard, Given this is a very strong skid/snap, No, the STRONGEST out there. The pin on mine is just to the right of ring finger with the CG put in a very strong position on drill pattern. Forgive me im not vey good on ball drillings, I just know how to throw them. But, I used mine on house shot, 38 feet of oil with fairly strong backends. I wont be using this on sport shot for simple fact there are other options out there by Storm which will keep me out of trouble. There is alot of oil in the front part of lanes on sport shot and I feel this is why I wont be able to use this one, My overall grade on this ball on scale of 1-10 is an 11 because this one is well worth the money you will pay. Just make sure the person drilling this has seen you bowl so he/she can drill this right. Now some of you can use this on sport shot by scuffing the cover on this to give you a little predictability, For me its the Tour Power. The backend is what makes
