This is my first try at a storm ball...normally I throw Columbia stuff. I have to say, this ball did a lot more than I expected it to. I bought it, thinking that it wasn't the strongest ball out there and being several years old, that it would be a great light to medium oil ball. Boy was I wrong...use this thing on light oil and you are in trouble. I can use it on medium to heavy oil shots when I need the ball to face up a little sooner. Really good when its really oily down towards the pins. Great ball to use when you have to play the deep inside line cause it won't track out too far, thus it won't get into the heavy stuff by the gutter. Comes screaming back to the pocket. The only thing I don't like about it is it does leave more than its fair share of 10 pins, but that may just be the way I throw it. Oh yeah, not really too keen on the scent, but then again I hate grapes. Anybody who says this ball hits like a sponge either needs to get the oil drained from the ball or nee

I get this ball drilled for a stronger Arc. On good house shots With at least Medium Oil, it wasnt too bad. But other than that,It just was not a good ball. You could not use this on anything less than Medium yet, it wasnt strong enough for much more. It just was not a good particle ball. The best shot that i had found this worked on was outside 5 OB, and medium oil across the middle. I just played 9 out to 6. This ball did rev up good. Ok midlane movement. Great transition Ball. So in total i wouldnt really suggest this ball ro anyone because in really needs a precise lane condition for it to work.

When I first got the ball, I would try to crank it, this ball is not a cranker ball, it seems like the more revs you put on it, the more inconsistent it gets. When I set the ball on the lane with a normal release it really hooks plenty believe me. The ball does suck up the oil though, it has to be cleaned with something that can bring the oil out of the ball. Overall i really I enjoy this ball and I plan on mastering it. My advice is not to try and force the ball but let it do its job and you will be alright.. Also keep the thing clean it only takes a few minutes and it makes all the difference

This ball is ideal for the heavy oil shots. When the lanes break down you don't have to change balls. Just have to move your target. The fruit scent just attracts you to the ball, and once you throw it you'll be glad you ot one. The ball hits the pocket and scatters the pins everywhere, I have shot 299 with it and i know the300 is coming, just by the way the ball hits the pins. Its a ball that goes long and has that sharp snap, almost when you don't think it'll hook, it comes up and buries the pocket.

Ok, this ball was pretty good. Like I said I had to sand my down for the heavy oil hook and now it's working great. I really dont have much more to say about this ball. I would recommend it to anyone as long as they are pretty consistent. Can't get away with bad shots with this ball unfortunately. Well I'm a 16 mph bowler with quite a lot of revs so this ball will be the first out of my bag along with my X-Factor and SmashR. I love Storm products and I'll probably stick with them for a while. Ok is this review over with?

Ok, got this off a friend for 10 dollars, didnt work to well at my home style house, cause i dont think they have heard of oil yet but, this ball hooks, got me a 285 with this(dont ask), um, this balll needs to be cleaned repeatidly, it has a tendancy to take any oil thats on the lane at all. Um on dry lanes this ball takes off at the arrows, nice oil amounts this ball works alittle bit better. In total i wouldnt suggest this ball for anyone that gets good revs, and has slow ball speed, isnt a cranker ball, but isnt like a kid ball.

Trauma Response is the ball than i dreaming before long time to have it because one day, one of my friends tell me to try this ball and i try to shoot with this ball and he have a greats hook on the lane. Than i see this ball rooling on the lane like a murder i discover than this ball i needed. I waiting so much to haved and one days, Robert told me than i going to sell this ball and he giving one hundred box for this. I take that ball and i make some greats score with this ball.

I have been considered rotationally challenged, but I love this ball. This ball is just what I needed , when it started to dull out I kept it in the bag as I purchased a new toy. After resurfacing it-it is brand new again and turning as hard as ever. I think that those who think that this ball goes straight are a little too fast for this ball. Maybe it is different because I use the left side.? I believe that if you can find the break point of this ball-it works wonders. (Just watch out for those 8s on the right and 9s on the left) hasta Fresh

this is the worst ball i ever had the ball doesnt hook a board for me.i throw a lot of revs and this ball still doesnt move, ive tried 1 arrow straight up, then i tried 2nd arrow, then 3rd and 4th and never got to the pocket. i keep reading these reviews that this ball is so good, and ive read some that feel the same way i do because i love storm balls so much i keep trying to pull this out during practice and still i get nothing so i say this is the worst storm ball ever

This is great ball for either heavy oil, carry down, or long sport patterns. It allows me to play parts of the lane that are completely out of bounds to everyone else. The carry is not as great as I would like, but this ball cuts through oil better than any other ball I have ever tried. Plays best attacking from outside. Will go quite far down and then make a nice even arc into the pocket. Rolls very evenly and never over reacts. Can even be used to pick up corner pins, unless the back end is really dry.

This ball gave me the hardest hitting pin reactions i've seen since I first got my hands on my Trauma which I just took into the shop. This ball has hella carry, keeps the pins low so you can make sure to get a good count, and will NOT take off unless you give it good reason to take off. My only problem I had when throwing was I threw it too soft and it went heavy brooklyn so just throw it hard, and the ball will keep consistant and will keep you at the top of your game with high scores

I have thrown this ball since last spring and the jury is still out. I have thrown it with the box finish and polished up and I liked the polished condition a lot more. I have seen these balls hook out of the house and I have seen mine go extremly tight. My response is pin in (almost on top of the CG) and the drilling is no help, very tame. I believe that is where the differences lie (at the time, the pro shop had no pin out responses). I have shot a 300 with this polished up playing virtually down second arrow with a 3 board swing and had to keep fingers in it to have it finish solid. Polishing it seems to allow it to store some energy and do more on the back end. I took the polish off and have left it alone as I have not seen a good reaction yet (although this was just changed and I have not logged a lot of games with it this way yet). If any of what I see and hear from this ball is close, I believe this is a ball that can be very versatile and be drilled to do just about an

Update** I have tried several different cleaners on this ball and the only one that seems to get the oil out of this cover is Storm's Reacta-Clean. I have to clean it after each shift or it begins to loose its bite. I have several Storm balls and this is by far the worst cover as far as oil absobtion and having to clean. It is a killer ball when you keep it clean but know right now you have to clean it reguarly. I am going to try some of Doc's Majic Elixer as soon as it arrives to see if it will slow down the oil absorbtion. I have thrown 804 series and 2-300 games with this in the last month. Very forgiving and easy to read ball when clean. I' have bumped my rating up to 8 pins. THIS BALL HAS DIED. CLEANED THIS BALL WITH STORM'S PROACTA-CLEAN AND THE BALL QUIT TURNING. WENT FROM A DEEP INSIDE LINE TO A DOWN AND IN. BALL STILL CARIES GOOD WHEN IT GETS BACK TO THE POCKET. JUST DOESN'T TURN THE CORNER ANY MORE. LOWERED RATING TO 6 PINS. :( This ball out hooks anything

I like Storm products. I have just set this ball up and the first shift was to dry to use it. Standing on 40 through over 20 and ball hit lane truned left and was in the left channel at 35 ft. Set up with pin at 3.0 and just right of fingers with mc2 at 5 oclock. Even when I took my fingers out this ball turned left immediately and rolled out in 5 feet. Can't wait to try it on a strip block pattern used during local tournaments. I'll post updates as I get to use this more. Update--This ball love fresh oil!! Used last night and shot 667. This ball ate up the oil. Most everyone else was struggling with a heavier than normal oil and this ball was on autopilot. Just let it go and it crushed the pocket. Did leave some ugly splits due to the extreme entry angle. Standing 38, hit 14, break point 4 and devitstated the pocket. If you want a heavy oil ball that will allow you to open up the lanes this is it!!! Another Great Job Storm!

Great ball It cuts through oil like it is not even there. It goes through the head well as long as no one else is playing my line. if there are more than one person playing a line the head will dry out way to fast to make three games with it. Probably have bowled 200 games on the ball and it still reacts just like new. I really like this ball. I have a friend though who is a cranker and he over powers the ball. I would buy one tomorrow if I did not have one. Strong ball

I just got this ball and shot a 299 out of the box (damn 10 pin!!). This ball has a great smooth arc and a crushing hit, just put it away on the dry because it will run away and hide in the left gutter. It's not as easy to clean as other balls but I found supermarket alcohol after the league works very good. I found that after the first game that it takes so much oil off the lane by the mid game 2 you should be able to use your medium oil ball (my eraser blaze).Another great one from Storm. Good luck all !!!

Do not buy the Storm Trauma Response as it cannot do what it is suposed to do. I am a cranker and the response did not curve at all. it is priced to high and receives little results. i do not recommend anyone buying this ball at all. i left alot of splits and seldomly is there enough oil for this bowling ball to do much of anything unless you are at a tournament on wood lanes. on top of it the Storm Trauma Response is a very ugly ball. However, it does smell nice.i did not like the storm trauma response and i dont think anyone else would either.

I think the Trauma Response is a very good ball when the shot calls for it.. The ball does what it is supposed to do and that is get through the oil.. This is probably one of the hardest hooking balls that storm has every produced and probably one of the hardest hooking balls ever for any manufacturer.. People bad mouth the ball for how it rolls on dryer shots, but it isn't the balls fault that its rolling bad, its the bowlers fault for throwing it on anything but oil... My favorite thing about this ball is that I am able to create area on even a flood, when everyone else it struggling just to get the ball to break a few boards, and I am crossing 30 plus boards and killing the hole... Just wish people would blame therselves sometimes instead of the equiptment.. Very Good Ball...<scri

I picked up this ball for a tournament in Vegas that put out a heavy oil pattern with OOB beyond 10. I had it drilled 4x4 and the only shot I could play was 15-10. This was the first, and last Storm ball I will buy. I assumed it was me, but when I switched to my 1000 grit Angle Evolution, it outhooked the Response by 2-3 boards and I managed to get a check. I had it plugged and redrilled straight up and it still was a dog, so I gave it away after about 30 games to cut my losses.

This ball is a total waste of money. I have been a bowler for 25 years and usually average around 200. With this ball my average actually dropped drastically. That is when I put it away. It killed me to do it - but my old ball hooked much more and was a lot more consistent. I called Storm and they want me to send it back to them so they can check it out. More money that I have to spend on a ball I can't stand. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this ball. It will save you time and money!

Hooks brilliantly now that it has been sanded down to 220 grit Although some nights when i bowl it hooks too much therefore i have to use my Tremor or Pit Boss. This is the 2nd best STORM ball i have used, the other was my brothers Fire Power which wasn't even drilled right for me but i hammered anyway. I will surely get the next Trauma that I see increasing my average by 20 pins yet again getting it up to 200!!! YAY! That ball wil most likey be Shock Trauma but who know what else will come out before then (Im in Australia) that affordable for me.

The Trauma Response is the perfect oil ball. If you give it forward roll there isn't anything that this ball wont do. It is definatly Storms top oil ball right now. I'd say that for a straight oil shot it is even better than the Shock Trauma. I think that it might be best to polish this ball to get it to go a little longer on some shots. It really seems to hate any kind of dry boards. Overall this ball is a perfect 10. Well that's about all from me for now, but I'll keep in touch

Heard great things about this ball and since I throw mostly Storm I thought I would give it a try. Bought the ball with specs as follows. 16.2lbs 4.0oz of top weight 3 inch pin. We laid out the ball with the pin above and in between the fingers with cg shifted right 3 inches with the mass bias on my PAL. Supposed to be one of the most aggressive drill patterns for this perticular ball. Now I throw the ball with 400+ revs 20-21mph axis tilt at about 40 degress at the time of realse. This ball hooks alot! I was very satisfied with the ball on my sport league but is far to aggressive for your typical house shot. I would consider the Boost with a control drill pattern with some light polish more suitable for the typical house shot. Great ball by Storm as always.

Good ball overall but in my home center I need to give it an 80 gritt or else it won't do anything. The lanes of my home center are flooded with oil every night so the ball doesn't hook all that much. STORM KING also has one of these balls and also bolws in my home center and he agrees with me that the lanes are too flooded with oil therefore the ball doesn't react on the lane. The ball doesn't have much hook, its an arking ball, has a nice ark into the pocket when there is less oil on the lanes. Overall a great ball but not for use on heavy or medium-heavy oiled lanes.

Okay, I have mine stack leverage, Im not an expert on ball drillings I just seem to throw them well. The pin is just to the right of my ring finger, Im a righty. The lanes were oiled about 5 hours before I threw on them so some recreational bowlers had been on them so with that it was time to go deep. So, Stood on about the 45-46th boards went over the 5th arrow and threw the front 9 then a solid 10, My fault. Didnt get to throw this one long, I think on a fresh heavy oil shot if you can follow the oil line you could get 3-4 games out of it. Some bowlers dont like this one and it is not for everyone. But, if you use this ball on what it was intended for I think it is a winner, Hands Down. This ones in my bag for the Regional this month coming up. Hope this helps, Take Care, rickyp.............
