On the right light / medium oil condition, you can play straight up the 8 board with HUGE success. I enjoyed good success with this ball on the standard house shot, playing straight up the 7-8 boards. If you missed a little right, you would see the ball come back nicely. If you missed a little left, the ball would hold the pocket. My first 2 games with this ball were... 278 (front 8) and 300. My 9th frame, I tugged the ball 1 board, but I nearly carried. I left the 4 pin. I was obviously upset, but the very next game was 300, so - HEY! What can I say, but I will always LOVE THIS BALL! But only for the right condition. If I had chosen this ball for the first game, which I did not. The week I bowled the 278 - 300, I tried to use my Trauma the first game. I rolled a 178. I even got this ball for free, with the purchase of my Trauma. LOL!!! I might just have shot an 800 if I opted to try this ball out the box that day. SIGH.

I'm a power stroker. pay no attention to the name. Speed: 15-16 mpg. 15-18 revs. I used to like the stronger balls, then I learned how to bowl. As I got better at reading ball reaction, I discovered that I didn't need such strong balls most of the time. I would start with my XF and I would be on top of the ball return in no time. As I stopped breaking my wrist, my ball reaction became much better. The Too Hot was in my closet for a while. I used it for light oil. I didn't carry it much. Only when I knew the oil was going to be light. The better my release became, the more I started looking for balls that hooked less. My TooHot has a 4" pin and 3+ oz top weight. I thought my monday night league was putting out less oil, but my teammate tells me its the same, so it must be me. For me the lanes are light oil. I am standing at about 33 to start, I lay the ball down at 22 and I swing it through the arrows at maybe board 14, hit a breakpoint of 7-8. If I have a nice 45 degrees of revo

ball was great out of the box. and it had a good transition with the lanes. during my 300 everything was flush in the pocket its wat you call the perfect 300. never wanted to throw this ball in a tournament because after that 300 it would leave a 7 pin on me consistantly. then after a couple of games it couldnt recover the boards. the more i revved it up the less pop it had. so i decided to resurface the ball. the ball had its out of the box action but it didnt last too long before it was back to a under reaction. well ive now sold this ball and dont knoe where who its with. i had my first 300 with that ball and i hope who ever has that ball the have luck with it.

This is a condition specific ball for me, and the condition I specifically use it on works well. I purchased this ball for second shift short oiled wood lanes. It is drilled pin over bridge with the CG to the left of the middle finger. It is actually too strong to throw in the track area that late, but works wonders with a small belly from 15 to 10. I don't have to adjust at all the whole night as long as I stay mindful of my speed. The hitting power is better than average, but if I don't stay under the ball I will leave some retarded pocket shots....like the 7 or 8-10 split. I can't say how this ball is overall, but for what I use it on I really like this. This is my second ball from Storm and I'm pleased with the results I get so far.

This ball in my opinion is a great ball which you can really use on any type on lanes. This ball has great length and when it gets to the pocket oh boy those pins are going to fall. Considering i get a lot of hand in the ball and put some decent speed on it. Well i manly use this ball when it comes to the dry lanes but if i feel like bowling striaght up the gutter then i got a ball to use because i believe this ball is very versitile. I feel like this ball is very dependable and that if everything else fails i have a ball to turn to. I will be trying a tornado in a few days so i will be writitng about that soon after i bowl my league with it.

I go to a tournament, very dry lanes, so i figure, why not take out the too hot, it should get through the broken down heads, and then snap in the backend, help me carry a little. wow. that didnt work. i throw the first shot and take out the 10 pin. (this is when i could line up the same way with my plastic ball and go brookyln) this ball is seriously the worst ball storm has ever made, i am a big fan of storm equipment but this ball is horrible. i think u go outside in the parking lot and it would hook more out there. if ur looking for somethin that will go straight, and randomly hook out of no where, then this would be a good ball. but if u want something consistent, get something else!<sc

got this ball to use for heavy oil.sort off like my columbia pro hook. bought this ball with a pin in 0 to 1,with 3.6 oz of top weight and 16lbs 2oz weight of ball, again drilled it as i always do with weight of ball being 15lbs 14 oz side weight 1/2 oz and top weight 2oz.. ball rolls into pocket with a nice arc, also have room for errors.ball hits low on pins causing great pin action and a lot of mixs, use another ball when lanes dry out to med cond.grouchy

I originally just got this one drilled up with the pin about 1/2 inch under the ring finger and the Eye of the Storm about another inch below that. It worked well the first da I tried it.... but i was leaving a lot of 9 pins on a medium oil shot. So I asked the pro shop to cut down on the backend by pulling a 1/2 inch diameter weight hole in the side. Since that, the ball never rolled the same. It was very inconsistent. So, I had the weight hole filled again, and it was back to it's out of the box finish and carry. This ball is always first out of my bag when the lanes are drier

You may as well be throwing a Columbia Black Knight straight for the headpin! Please do not buy this ball. I thought that it would be good. You know for dry lanes. I got it and had it drilled for dry lanes. Then I had it shined up. It would go to the pocket alright..............................and leave ten pin...............after ten pin..................................after ten pin......................................after ten pin................I'm sorry but the coverstock and the weight block for this ball are horrible. This just proves, once again, that the best coverstocks, the best weight blocks belong to Brunswick. There is nothing else to say baby!

ball rolls great in very dry lanes to medium conditions i can play a pretty nice swing shot on dry but when theres somr oil watch out cause i will play up the boards and this ball will not be scared to grab on and it will send the pins flying this ball rolls very consistant and it was a great addition to my arsenal and it has been a savior to me at times and it seems like it just finds the pocket on its own and its just plain flat out amazing until it hits alot of oil

Well, were to start, This ball is one of the worst balls i have ever bowled with. Throw me a house ball why dont ya. I will give this ball sme credit though. This is goes straight, and i mean straight. its like ------------------------------, best spare ball next to my shadow. Well this ball was not very much so i guess i get what i pay for. So in conclusion do not buy this ball if you are looking for a strike ball, But this ball is a very low priced beginner ball. So good luck and have a great day.

STORM RULES ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last time I wrote a review on this ball, it was a completely different ball. This one is my dad's that I use on the synthetic lanes because the wood is not good for this ball. Anyway, this ball has an unbelievebly strong backend and a light hook!! I threw it with all of the power I could straight down the 4th board and it went straight down the lane and then, BOOM!!!!!!!! It went straight into the 1-2 pocket and it looked so good going, I got the perfect strike!!! So then I threw it on the 4th arrow and it went to the 1st arrow and came back into the pocket like oil didn't even phase the ball!!! But for the heavy oil, if my Eraser doesn't work for some reason, the Too Hot will work if i throw it straight and slow it down, I still get strikes. The best part is that it hardly ever leaves a 10 pin!!! Unfortunately, the wooden lanes give my nothing but trouble for this ball. I have no control whatsoever, but I have my Big Hit Pearl for those woode

If you got hand then you can play 10-5 on medium oil. If you have no hand then you'll like this for dry lanes. Mine is drilled 5x5 and I love this drilling. It gets down the lane real nice and snaps when it hits the backend and boom a strike. You get a lot of area with this ball if you have hand. Check my profile for my style. Go buy this ball!!!!!!!!!! The RIGHTSIDE is the only way to go! Put all the leftys on one pair with one right and watch who kicks some @$$!!!!!!!! Leftys DON'T know how to ADJUST

Ball has begun to snap hard and over reacting. Been using Storm's Reacta-Clean and that is when it started. Going to switch back to polish and see how that does. This ball is stronger than you would expect for the money. 8 pins. VERY CONSISTENT BALL. HAVE OVER 100 GAMES ON THIS BALL AND HAVE USED IN NUMEROUS TOURNAMENT CONDITIONS. THIS BALL HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN. I HAVE AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BALL TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A MID PRICED BALL BUT A HIGH PRICED RESULTS. THIS HAS BEEN AN EXCELLENT ADDITION TO MY LINEUP. 10 PINS AND MORE. This is a great ball for the price. This ball hooks more than I expected. This ball hits really hard. My first storm was an Elnino this ball hits every bit as hard as that one ever did. I was a die hard Ebonite bowler. Was being the key word as Storm has won me over. These are by far the most consistently reacting balls on the market. As long as you take care of the cover, regular cleaning, they last as long as any other ball out there.

Topweight-3.2 Weight-15 Pin-0-1 Inch Surface-Factory Drill-Label, no weight hole Lane Condition #1 Oiled down to 38ft buffed to 43ft, Outside 5 boards are out of bounce when swing, heavier oil in the middle. Lane Condition #1 I got this ball drilled label so it will go long and just have very little punch on the backend (almost to the point of turn and die). O boy it does just that, start by playing straight up the first arrow, it gets through the heads very well (on this shot) and if fact the whole lane, I would say it goes to about 45ft and has a nice smooth turn into the pocket. I played that with a straight wrist. Now I tried playing the middle of the lane and man i cranked up my wrist and my first shot I throw over the 5th arrow and it went and picked up the ten pin, so I played the shot a little bit tighter and it began to pay, except for a few ten pins but that is just because it slides in this oil and it doesn't grip because i knock off one revolution. This ball wil

This ball just never quits. You can almost use this ball on all lane conditions. When I throw this ball everyone thinks it's goin straight for the gutter, but the ball always manages to hook back and burn the pins. My Too Hot is just too hot! broklyns, perfect pocket shot, don't matter it'll give you what you wanted. If your just starting bowling and is thinking of getting a bowling ball I suggest the Too Hot it doesn't cost too much and this ball is good on all lane conditions. This is Too Precious! Can the pins say OuCh?

For the price, a MUST have dry lane ball. Finishes hard. When missing your mark outside ball can help you. Overall great ball for dry to medium oily lanes. I also can play a straight up shot on oil by changing my release. Most of the hooking potential is last 8-10 feet. Finishes hard. When missing your mark outside ball can help you. I have this ball drilled 5-1/4 x 5. Provides great length with a smooth, even, predictable back end. Great for when the lanes start out with medium to light head oil. If the heads are too oily or too dry, this one stays in the bag. On the downside, mistakes are paid for. If I throw it right, it doesn't quite make it back. Miss left, and high hits are the order of the day. Still has plenty of power to clear the deck, however. For me, this ball is very condition-specific. Fine by me. When needed, it is definitely a winner.

I GOT IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT BECAUSE I NEEDED A BALL FOR THE MED TO LIGHT OIL AND SPARES. EXCELLENT! TRULY EXCELLENT! IT WILL DESTROY ALL PINS IN ITS PATH AND WHEN IT IS RARE THAT A 10 PIN STANDS, PICK THE BALL PACK UP AND 60 FEET LATER, THE 10 PIN IS GONE. THAT GOES FOR ANY OTHER PINS LEFT. EVEN IF I CAN THROW IT ON THE BROOKLYN SIDE, IT WILL STILL GIVE ME A STRIKE. LIGHT POCKET HITS WILL SHUFFLE THE PINS AROUND AND WILL STILL STRIKE. OVERALL, GOOD HOOK, BACKEND, AND IT IS RELIABLE.<s

excellent ball over all with good control and hitting power, but when the lanes are flooded i have to use one of my Trauma . I works better on the medium to light oil lanes. The ball is more consistent and easy to control when polished because the polish gives the ball time to get down the lane and help control its very hard arc at the pins. If the ball is dull it will tend to lose its hitting power in which it hit the pins like a feather . Overall a excellent ball that will arc and hit consistently but if you are to wide on your shot it will skid and roll out of the shot.

I have had two of these balls and they were like night and day. I wanted a ball to play in the desert with and this seemed to be the right one. I had both balls drilled 1x1 for early roll and minimal hook. The first one turned out to be one of the best balls I have owned. Great control and power. I loved the room this ball gave me. Plenty of hold and enough cover to get to the pocket if I missed a little left. The ball cracked in a tournament and a storm rep said he would replace it. The ball I got back was almost identical to the first one. Same pin and top weight. As I said this ball was drilled the same also. This ball hooks. Instead of an early roll, this ball goes about 45 feet and then tries to do a 180. It is not that this is a bad thing, but I already have 2 Ti pearls. Still a good ball, just not what I need.

Ball Specs- 15lbs., 3" pin, 3.5 oz. top weight. Drilled this ball with the pin @ 1:00 and CG under my palm which is supposed to give you good length and controlled back end reaction but instead it snaps at the end. This ball is the cleanest through the front and middle parts of the lane I have ever seen. Then at the end it makes this hard left turn and smashes the rack. I haven't shot extremly well with it because I wasn't expecting a skid/ snap dry lane ball but I can deal with this much better than tying to throw a ball 30mph to get it down the lane. Another great value ball on the market if you are struggling on dry lanes. I will update this further after I a few more games on it and get a better feel for it. New Drilling- Pin above bridge of fingers, Cg on grip line. This drilling really gave me the reaction I was looking for. Now it rolls better, more predictable, and has a stong controllable back end reaction which still hits hard. Also works well on fresh medium c

This is my first storm product, and is sure not to be my last. Since the purchase of this ball, my average has jumped over 10 pins. Was suprized by the pin action this ball supplied. Very seldom leaves those dreaded corner pins. Has allowed me to play a much straighter line to the pocket., and is very forgiving if you miss your mark. Ball has enought snap at the end if you miss outside and holds the pocket if you miss inside. Very predictable all the way through your shot. Ball has performed better than many balls twice the price. If you bowl ondry lanes, this is a must have!

On dry to medium dry lanes, this ball is heavensent. It's controllable, hits hard and doesn't overhook. I have used it with some success on totally toasted lanes -- it'll break a lot, but you can control it and keep it on the lane even on total toast -- if you're willing to throw it flat. In medium to heavy oil, it slides too far and just doesn't recover, so use it only for when the lanes are drying out. If used for that purpose, it is a great addition to your bag. It also seems to work well if you have a definite top hat, where you can slide it outside the oil into dry. If you have a ton of hand and want something to play a straighter line, this might work as well. Mine is pin in, both pin and CG in the center of the hand, and has been used on sport and late squad house shots.<scrip
