This ball keeps getting better and better, there is nothing bad about it, hit like a truck, will forgive if you squrew ^, nice smooth roll and backend, can play different parts of the lane, the way that my ball is drilled is pin high, after about 40 games ball starts to tone down. When i got it, the ball wasnt consistant, one day u could play 3rd arrow, next the 1st arrow (the shot didnt change) After using it started to tone in, there is nothing wrong with this ball period. wouldnt prferr to crank on it, then u got some back end

I've only been bowling with reactive equipment since June 2007, so forgive me for not listing my PAP, ball speed, rev rate, axis, tilt, etc. I'm still learning about all the fine technical aspects of this game. THIS REVIEW IS EXTREMELY SUBJECTIVE, SINCE IT IS BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE. YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY. I got this ball a week after it released to have another option besides my Tropical. Here's how it's laid out: http://i28.tinypic.com/6frqzb.jpg Initially, I had thought of either buying this ball, or one of the T-Road balls. My shop operator recommended the Sure Fire since the solid/pearl hybrid cover would give me a good balance of length and control. Good thing I listened. On the fresh medium shot at the center I bowl, my ball gets through the front, begins to recover in the midlane, and makes a strong arc off the break point. It's not a sudden jump off the dry, but a very predictable and readable move. My house hasn't put down med-heavy shots very often, but when I ha

I got the chance to use this for my mixed league the past few weeks and this ball is pretty good with the hybrid coverstock. On fresh shots, I can play straight up the 10 board and get a nice reaction on the backend. The polished does make this ball bounce hard off the day and the midlane motion is stronger than what I anticipated. I couldn't believe how much hook potential this ball has for the price of it. When the lanes starts to dry out, I like to play inside with this ball from the 18 board to 8. With some hand and speed adjustment, I'm able to get it down the lane (oil provided) and it has no problem getting through carrydown. The carry is good but I feel more confident and consistent with the Sure Fire on fresher condition. It also makes a pretty good benchmark ball.

the more i use this ball, the more i like it. still playing around with position and speed to see what works best for me. 3rd arrow from right with more of a direct approach with good speed seems to work the best for me. a great ball for the price with awesome looks to match. the more i use it the more confidence i get to go straight to the pocket. i look forward to bowling again each week with my new storm sure fire. if you think you might like this ball, go to the storm website and watch the video. good looks, great price and a ball that does what they say it will do, is all i wanted.

This ball does exactly what I thought it would do, heavy mid lane roll and controllable backend. I bowl on a medium oil shot on synthetics . This ball will give you plenty of mid lane power and hard yet controllable hook. Those who like the spitfire will love this ball. This reactive pearl hybrid ball does not dissapoint. I bought this ball to fit in between my spitfire and my black hammer and what a perfect fit. It is a few boards more than the spitfire and several less than my black hammer. It is a true medium lane ball and one that will make it's way out of the bag first. The only thing I have noticed about this ball is that it tends to squirt a little on heavy oil. Keep it on anything from light meduim to medium heavy and you will be a happy camper.
