this ball was the best ball i could use on the new sport shot league being used in my city. it worked great getting me a 220 and 230 after bowling some 180's with my ultimate inferno. if the lanes get too oily this is the first ball i go to and will forever be the biggest hooking ball i own. i dont think anything could outhook the beast. on the other hand this ball seems to turn so hard it tends to leave lots and lots of 8 pins. also with this ball the breakpoint must be hit almost the same everytime or going through the face will happen a lot. i found out with a game full of 8 splits, luckily it was open bowling. well anyway this ball must always be used on the oilest of lanes and nothing else will ever be like it

When I bought this ball, I wasn't too sure about it but I'm glad I did. The ball was fanominial, hit hard, hooked hard, destroyed the pins. I have 9 career 300s and I threw 6 of them with this ball. This ball was very controlling and forgiving. I could make this ball hook 20 boards or not hook 1 board, WITHOUY ADJUSTING MY BODY. I must say this, just like the El Nino Gold, this ball was one of the best made by Storm. If I could find this ball, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I've had this ball since my last columbia broke (Quake) and it is by far the best storm ball I own (El-nino, XXX, Tramua Recovery). When I use it, I know what it's going to do. If the shot dries out I can move way inside and still carry. on soaked shot with backends I can play many shots from a fast down and in to a huge hook, it doesn't matter the ball seems to find the pocket and for those busy league nights when everyone has the ball returns filled I use it for my ten pins, It's like the ball knows what I want!!! Great Job storm!!!<scrip

Okay this ball and its pearl counter part are the one two combination that most people would kill for in their bag. I found this one in my pro shop about 3 years ago and the guy told me it was a great ball that no one knew about. He was right!!! This ball has a very pronouced turn that is controllable and very powerful ont he backend. It works best in medium oil, it the line is burnt move or put it up. I have newer balls, but only my Deuce hits as well as this ball. If you keep it clean and have the pro shop heat the oil out once in a while you have a killer shot every time. Even if you do not it should still work, 3 years and this ball still gets down that lane and crushes. Be warned that this ball goes long for a particle, but makes a very strong, controllable move that you will love. Excellent hit, carry, backend and movement on this one. Pick one up wherever you can find it.

This ball I use first when looking at a new house or a new shot. It's a very consistent ball despite how hard you throw or how much you crank. Smooth roll, no killer backend. On oily conditions, you need to look elsewhere. On medium conditions (short or long), you need to hit the dry boards to get a decent reaction and hit. When it's "garbage" time, and you're in the sixth or seventh game of a marathon tournament, you can always count on this ball for a sfe shot. Definitely not for the aggressive or for the backend crush player, but not too bad for the conservative or garbage lane shots. If this ball is intended for more hook, perhaps a Scotch Brite job done by your local pro shop will help it to set up a little earlier, because the backend just isn't there. Skids too much as is for its weak backend on fresh conditions. Questions or comments? Email MoperyDave@aol.com

this ball goes right after my el nino x it for top balls. very forgiving. reads oil well and finds the pocket. put it outisde anywhere with medium speed and medium to heavy revs and it will find the pocket for you. this ball does most ofthe work for you. i only got to use this ball for about a month..it got torn up by a faulty ball return. i really wish i still had one. its too bad storm doesnt make them any more cause i would be all over the chance to get a new one. oops that was only 99 words i guess. picky picky.

It is a good overal ball. It will carry. If it is in the pocket it will be a good ball. The problems are that the ten is its best friend. I have lost count of how many I left. The best i rolled with it was a 279 in practice. If you find one on a good deal I would recommend it. If you use this ball right you could rolll great games all around in any dry or medium lane condition. I enjoy bowling with it and I will most likely stick to Storm for a long time.

The ball is great for people who turn the ball good. I wouldn't recomment it for strokers or people who throw it slower than most. I get alot of speed and turn on a ball and this ball reacts incredibly for me. I have the ball drilled a bit unorthodox with PIN IN and right finger hole above the pin with the offset to the left and turned 45 degrees to the right. This ball is a monster for me and should be for any power player out there. Don't try to use this thing on light oil. This ball grips nicely and flips hard and hits like a truck. The only problem I've had is that it's possibly a bit TOO powerful. I do get some odd leaves from time to time due to pins being blown out because of too much force. Again great ball for power players in heavy oil.

I don't even know what lane conditions it does best on. Luckly I was smart enough not to use it on the league. I tried it when it didn't count against me. I tried placing it everywhere on the lane and it did 1 of 3 things. It went into the gutter, hooked WAY too much, or hooked just enough to stay on the lane. IT IS GARBAGE!!!!!!! At the time we had the same span and same size finger holes. I have no idea how my friend can put up with that ball for soooooooo long without getting a new one. The core may not be balanced correctly because this is the only STORM ball that I Don't Like. We all know STORM RULES! Lame ball.

(Am a lefty) This ball is awesome. It lets me play my most likeable line of standing 1 board right of the 5th dot, and swinging the ball out to the 1st dot, or beyond, depending on lane conditions, and comes roaring back into the pocket beautifully. I have the pin about 1/2 inch left of my middle finger. The first game I threw with this ball, I shot a 203, would've shot higher, but didn't have my normal spare ball (a purple claw hammer) with me at the time, missed 2 seven pins. In my opinion, an excellent ball for most lane conditions.<scr

great ball overall with good control, hitting power and excellent control. When the lanes are flooded if tends to skid.Works on any type of lane condition but works at its best on the medium oiled lanes. It is one ball that will work straight out of the box. The ball is more consistent and easy to control when polished because the polish gives the ball a more consistent roll down the lane and to help in the control of the pin action.Overall a excellent ball that will arc or snap depending on the deliverly style and hits consistently but it does have tendency to roll out sometimes.

This is a GREAT ball for the price. I don't leave too many corners with it. I throw mine factory finished leverage drilled. Has no trouble recovering once it hits the dry. On heavy oil with carrydown, it's not the best recovering ball, but it's manageable. Polished it gets through the heads with ease. I usually bowl on the dreaded "over-walled" conditions, very heavy oil in the middle of the lane with dry backends. It's a nice ball to start with and a great transition ball as well. I can go up the oil with it (although I'm sure there are better balls for doing it) and it will usually carry. When the lanes start breaking down, just let it rip and trust it.

this ball is amazing , its perfect for lots of shots like the house shot or a tournment shot. i have the ball drilled with the pin to the right of the fingers and the cg 3in below the pin, i have lots of room with this ball u can miss your target by a bunch and still have it come back, but best of all this ball smells great!! i have never seen a ball with soooooo much backend before and how smooth it goes down the lane, but i will say that the ball even hits harder then my trauma and that it has a sharper turn at the back. Another good piece from storm like always over i would rate this ball a 10 ++++ easily

I bought this ball a couple of months ago along with the pearl version, though decided to just drill the pearl first. Then I got this one drilled just over a week ago. I Find the ball to be great for revving it up and swinging it from deep, as well as just rolling it - it has great hitting power either way! I've played on a fairly flat (dryish) pattern with it and scores were reasonable, and have also played on a walled shot on which it worked great! On oil it slides great, and with a half-decent backent it absolutly takes off! Drilling: I didn't go for any technical or dynamic drilling, opting instead for a bit of a lable leverage type thing, with the pin just above and to the right of the centre of thee grip, and the pin below and to the right of the finger holes. Surface: Out of the box this ball looked pretty dull, though after throwing it a few times it seemed to shine up, and since it was working fine I left it as it is (only polishing/cleaning with "renew-it")

I won this ball in a tournament, and at about the same time my Rock Pearl died. Got it drilled 3 3/8 X 3 3/8 with the pin next to my ring finger and polished it for more skid. I threw it on fresh lanes, and this ball slid thru all of the oil, caught the dry backend, and snapped into the pocket. This ball has great hit, but even polished it will not slide thru dry. I've got an Erase-It for alot of hook, so I'm gonna leave it polished, and hope that it comes in handy one day. One real bad part about this ball, you cannot swing this ball. The guy that drilled it threw it, and he puts about 50,000 revs on the ball and he couldn't even swing it. There might have been a chance to if it was dull I might experiment with that one day. I would probably not recommend this ball to anyone, unless they were gonna use it dull on heavy oil. I just hope Storm did a better job on the SP Pearl.

Hey people I got my Super power a couple of weeks ago, and its drilled, pin right of my ring finger, cg in the middle of my palm, and my mass bias in my track to make it smooth and not roll out. THIS BALL HOOKS. Very nice even arc smooth break point (that's what I wanted) it hooks early and I like that. And if there is oil up front then your in business. This has the most hitting power of my even arcing balls. I hook my Riot Zone more than my super power so it scatters the pins more so it looks like I get more pin action then my super power but the super power its harder a lot harder. This is the best ball for the money I'm glad I listen to my proshop and got this instead of the Silencer. I reccommend this ball to everbody I give it a 10 of 10

I got this ball from Buddies Pro Shop and just had it punched out the other day. It's drilled 4x4 with pin just above ring finger and the cg just under it. Shot a 609 last night with it at our local house on a medium shot, hits like a ton of bricks. You'll have to put this one away when the lanes start to get too dry, as this ball will hook off the lane. Will test it out on a fresh shot in leagues this Friday and Sunday night. So far 2 thumbs up on the Super Power.
