I have had this ball for over 1 year already and I have to say, I love this ball. This is one of my all time favorites. Before I got this, I haven't bought a Storm ball in over 4 years. I was convinced by my pro shop operator to this drill up. The layout was 5 x 4 and it produced such a consistently strong backend reaction I was looking for. Like most balls since 2000, reactive balls have lost their out of box reaction. This ball was no different. I have retired this ball last September and have replaced it with other balls.

Just shot this ball for the first time, and I can honestly say that I was surprised. I think this ball out-hooked my Paradigm which is a first when I'm playing inside. I like the reaction this ball got out of my hand. The first ball came in high because I didn't think it would hook so much, but after adjustments, the ball smashed the pocket. This ball has so much power when it hits the pocket it's silly. Ball carried very well and the smell is amazing. It is second only to the Paradigm. I would suggest buying it to anyone who want the have a ball to play inside with. If you overthrow it or miss it at the bottom, you could be in trouble.<scrip

Listen I'm here to tell the truth about the equiptment I own. And let me say I still plan on purchasing a Fired Up. But i want to say that I have played a variety of angles to the pocket and the Pyro drilled pin in gives me length like the Roto Sonic X!! If you need something not so aggressive and forgiving pick up a Pyro. It's well worth the investment.. Believe me you will love the different angels and the predictability that this ball offers..Clean through the heads, excellent lenght, hook to the pocket.. now thats incredible!!

the smell is wonderful, the color is beautiful, it rolls like a dream, really rolled well through the heavy oil at the national bowling stadium. We bought this ball for my mother and she only rolled 3 games before she took it to the USBC Women's national's where she bowled all three sets with this ball. She bowled 20 pins over average each game. She can not stop talking about how wonderful this ball is. She loves the weight at only 11 pounds for her to throw. Works well on all lane conditions that we have seen but we only have bowled with it three times. Can not wait to bowl againg with it. Headed to many tournaments with this ball.<sc

The ball is great. I love it on medium oil patterns. It clears the heads great and saves energy for the back-end. It has tons of power in the pocket. Polished, it will skid/snap. Sanded you will have something simular to the fire diablo. A very controlable ball. Storm has proven the more bang for you buck theorie once again. The ball is not as expensive as the master line or premium line but it is just as good as anything I've aver thrown. Storm has always put out good balls and the fire line is no exception. Remember, always bowl up a storm!<s

My Fired Up is drilled to skid /flip or to go long and backend, let me tell you the ball does deffinitally do it. This ball goes less than 10 feet in fron of the pins and comes back at the pocket at a 90 degree angle. The weight block and coverstock are so perfect to form a ball that goes long and backends. This weight block and the RAD weight blocks are by far the strongest weight blocks to have ever been thrown in my hand and this ball is by far a winnner. This ball is incredible. I asked Chris at BuddiesProShop. which he recommended between the Fired Up and Screamin' Banshee. He said this would be a more skid/flip ball, and that's what i like to I picked it. Chris was right. This ball epitomizes skid/flip ball reaction. It was set up pin 4.5" cg 4", no hole. This ball gives me a very skid/flippy reaction, but a controllable one. On dry wood, this ball got through the heads and still preserved enough energy to kick the 10 out. On my house shot (pretty heavily oiled), I can belly it 13 to about the 5 or 4 board and the pins don't have a chance. Over the summer in my sport shot league, I was able to keep the ball tight and in play the entire season. What a great ball and a great suggestion by Chris.

I have my Fired Up drilled 12o'clock w/ pin avove the fingers and CG in the center of the grip. Last weeks C.A.T.S data (i go every month or so w/ the team) speed 19.6 RPMs 360 (note that this is more a messure of the oil pattern and ball you use... w/ a plastic ball i would probly have 250 and on a house shot i would probly have 450) Ball gets through the fronts very cleanly on all conditions. On the mid lane it does almost nothing on heavy (not designed for it) and way to much on dry(not designed for it) but on medium to med-light it is great. Ball is very responcive to hand position (i.e behind the back of it going up 5 or up the side 20 to 10) and has great hit no matter what line your playing. fell free to IM me "Chris Says w00t" or msg me if you have any questoin

On an easier, more-forgiving house shot, averaged 240 over the first two weeks now, but I'm still not convinced by the ball reaction and the hitting power that this is really a great ball. I wouldn't use it on a sport shot, and if you can get this ball for a steal, it might not be a bad buy, but I wouldn't use it on any sport or PBA pattern shot. In conversation with the Storm rep at one of the PBA Senior Stops, he suggested I take the surface up to about 2000 or 2500, which I'll probably do to see if I'm more comfortable with this ball.<

bought this ball at buddies pro shop and chris drilled it up for me. just today i took it down to my house and shot 2 260's out of the box and a 220. ball goes long and then moves strogly to the pocket. i was standing at about 28 and throwing between the 2nd and 3rd arrow and boom. also very forgiving when i threw it too wide it came back and still struck. this will be the first ball out of my bag, what's not to like about it storm has a winner in the mid priced category in my opinion

I drilled it up for a PBA tournament and didn't get any length to the ball. Ball hooked immediately. Nobody I saw threw it, but was told by the Storm rep that one "well known" PBA member took it to 4,000 and the ball worked good for him. I guess I'll try taking it to about 2,500 to start and see if I have a use for it. Otherwise, bottom of Lake Michigan for it. Hooks too muc h for this area, and haven't seen an area where this much ball would work for me. Probably OK for a "stroker" or a low-rev player that needs a LOT of help.<sc

Ball specs: pin 3 1/4, top 2.45 My PAP: 4 3/4, up zero Layout: pin 4 1/4 inches from PAP, cg 4 1/2 from PAP The new Reactor coverstock by Storm is just great. This ball allows the ball to clears the heads real well like all other Storm pearls but unlike previous pearls this ball reads the dry very smooth instead of the big jerk that was common in other Storm balls. The other thing I really liked is that of you do happen to get this ball in the oil it didn't skid 55 ft and then try and make a move. It actually tried to read the lane. This new cover finally gives Storm the ball motion of the ever popular Brunswick Absolute Inferno but at a lower price point. Even better yet a bowler can have the Screamin' Banshee and the Fired Up and the two balls really compliment each other. When the Screamin' begins to burn up to fast in the fronts the Fired Up with a similar layout allows you to play the same part of the lane and get your backend reaction that was lost back.

this is the best ball i have owned in atleast 7 years, strom has impressed me to many of there products, but the fired up is bar none the best strom ball i have ever thrown that is as destructive and versitile as this ball, storm has done it again, and i cant wait to see whats next. with a price like this , how can you afford to pass this ball up.I have recommended this ball to everyone i know, i might even buy another just because this ball is so cheap and a proven winner in my book.

Ball drilled with Pin1 1/2 inch from PAP, CG in the grips designed to burn up the ball in the oil creating an arcing motion on the backend, which works very well on house shots, being that it doesnt come screaming back from anything resembling a dry board, very readable backend reaction handles carrydown better than expected for a pearl reactive. Carries allmost everything. The ball has a difficult time on heavier shots because it uses up all its energy in the oil. So it stays in the bag during a flood. Havent thrown it on a short sport shot yet, but i am curious to see how it handles short oil

Drilled this ball up 4x4 with the pin slightly above the fingers. This ball read the midlane very well yet still got very good lenght. This ball reminds me of my old benchmark ball ( Ballistik Kryptonite) that was my favorite till I dropped ball weight. The cover on this ball is still very agressive so dry lanes will be a problem but on medium the pins better take out health insurance! I am looking forward to drilling another one and making it more aggressive. Plus this ball has a much better orange smell than storms previous orange scented balls So far i have drilled 3 of these for people and all have said pretty much the sanme thing about it THR+EY LOVE IT !!

The fired up is a great ball. It hooks in oil and holds a lil longer when it hits dry. Recovers nicely with a lot of energy. I highly reccomend this ball to any1. Very versatile. I have mine drilled stacked but I drilled into the pin. So for those who dont know. The cg was directly under my ring finger. I have good tilt with a good ammount of hand. Average speed is 15.5-16 mph. And I left it at factory finish. May the backrow be aware. Once again, great ball! How many more words do i need to put?

I drilled the ball with the pin 3'' 3/8 from my PAP which is 6" and about 1" below the ring finger CG set on the VAL this put the all new V TWIN weight block at a 45 degree angle which sets the ball at its maximum hook for me, without rolling over the finger holes. I set my left foot on 25 and sent it out to about 10-12 and it hooked up about 35 ft down with a nice consistent roll. I only threw 3 games with it a 234,256,265. I will add more to this review after a tournament which is on a PBA pattern the true test. **************************** **************************** *******************SET IT AND FORGET IT************************ *************************** ***************************
