Storm Eraser Blaze Bowling Ball

The Blaze? features the all-new CADMIUM? coverstock, which consists of a exclusive STORM particle and reactive urethane blend that delivers resounding length through the heads, mild mid-lane acceleration generating a Blazing backend reaction for booming pin action on medium to lighter oil conditions. Both the BOOST and BLAZE feature a new particle that is not rubber based like our other particle balls. The Boost also has Fleck in the surface to provide additional grip. A former Storm ball that had this in the coverstock was the El Nino Gold.

Well, had to get this cause my bowling balls got stolen and one of them was my blue thunder...so grabbed this cause pro shop buddy told me he can make it work just like my blue thunder....wow, amazing ball, amazing carry and you can give it room...just sucks when the lanes dry up cause it will grab the lane early but if you adjust and throw inside it can be ok...overall, another great ball from Storm. Very versatile and can be drilled to do many different things...the cadmium coverstock is cool....don't forget, no such thing as a tap....<scrip

well, ive only had it for one day, but i averaged 244.5 for the day ive had it, including a 300 game and a 792 series, this ball is going to earn you many honor scores. the line to play is standing on 20-25 and throwing over second arrow while this ball has a very smooth backend, it will very rarely overhook. if you miss your mark, the ball will recover fine. this ball hits and carries like an eighteen wheeler with bricks in it! with this ball you might leave a few ten pins and seven pins here and there, but overall, this ball id freakin amazing!

I have found something motivatting while returning to Bowling...the Equipment...I have a liking to Storm Products in the past...for one...They can take my weak/tweek-late released, side spun piece of *Crap (2-3-12 fore'de Crap Shooters Out there) into a stimulating display of pins falling effectively from this the Eraser Line of 02'. If I'm able to throw 6x in one game-only on a double laned practice, I feel confident that this ball earned a thumbs up here. Even a Once-a-Month Bowler like me can find enjoyment in this ball. Will it stay in my bag? maybe closet, just in case... <sc

I've seen strokers and crankers use this ball and they all love it. This is way better than the boost. Compared to the boost, they both have the same core so the hit is the same, the difference is the coverstock. The pearl accu-tread with cadmium, as Storm calls it, is much more durable and versitile than the solid version on the boost. The blaze has more length but equal hook potential. The blaze is too strong for medium-light as they advertised it. The eraser blaze hooks a little bit more than the Blazing Inferno and is more aggressive. This is a good, aggressive, ball for anyone who wants a big skid-snap reaction.

I played on one of the harder lanes for me today....... I have a tournement tomorow... (2 day) I wanted my ball to hook more in the heavier conditions...... Irecived this ball from an uncle... redrilled it.... soaked it, wiped it down couple times... only used it twice but my high game is 195 on it.... my average is currently 161........ it hooks way more than I wanted it too in the begining..... (no oil) but I will have to bowl on even oilier lanes tomorow (first thing in the morning vs. in the afternon)...I bowled a 200, 208, and 197 first three games for my first 600 series than fell off....... placed probably around 40th.......

I bought this ball for once the lanes start to break down. This ball flies between the first and second arrows on broken down lanes. The shot is inside with this ball. Once I adjusted and moved to the left, shot between the second and third arrow it hit the pocket hard. Anything outside of that you will come high every time. I don't have any problems with 10 pins. The ball weight is 15.5Ibs and it always hits the pocket hard. When this ball does come high it leaves eith the 7-10 or the 6-7-10 for me so i'm screwed.

Drilled my Blaze 5x4 i have thrown this ball in several different centers under numerous conditions. I love the control and hit that this layout and the coverstock/weightblock combination give me. My only disappointment was that the ball hooked much more than i expected it to especially with this layout. It became my goto ball when my x-factor became too much. Not a lot of 10 pins with it as it carries very well. Polished it up to storms extra shine polish and only change was a little snappier backend. Still read the midlane well in either factory or high polished state

I really like this ball. I have had it for about a year now and it is still as lively and hits just as hard as it did when it was new. My average went up about 15 pins when I went to this ball. Carries very well on pocket shots and light hits. I would strongly encourage anyone who needs a quality ball for a decent price (150.00 DRILLED that was last Dec.) check out the Storm product lines. I shot my first 300 with this ball and none of the X's were cheap. It is a very good ball for your average league bowler.

This ball would always hook a lot if you could get enough revs on it and was very forgiving. It also would do well an a lot of conditions except heavy and bone dry. This all would also leavy alot of ten pins and seven pins, like my boost, but it did carry better, though not good enough. I had a very hard time getting this to work on anything other than a house shots, especially sport shots and reverse blocks. I drilled the ball so it would hook more however never sanded it once. I also really like the smell and the color. Truely, I can imagine this would be a great ball if it used the same core as the ones in 14lbs+, but that is what you get for using some 12lb balls.

yes this was a ball made for only a few houses here. it would always leave corner pins and 8 pins like crazy. i am the left hander that just leaves ten pins. it made me lose a few made up tournaments between us little kids. oh well it was good while it lasted but not as good as the boost. well now i must watse some space but i really dont know how. gosh i guess i should get better at this . i guess i could tell you that storm balls equal corner pins, ebonite equals 7 pins storm equals pocket 7 10's and hammer equals too hard for the lanes<scrip

GREAT BALL, MOST OF THE TIME EVEN THAT @##!!!** 10 PIN FALLS , ON LEAGUE NIGHTS, ITS FIRST BALL OUT OF MY BAG,IF I MISS MY MARK A LITTLE, AND THE BALL HITS HIGHT OR LOW IN POCKIT, I STILL GET STRIKES. THE PRO SHOP MAN TALK ME INTO BUYING THIS BALL , AND IM SURE GLAD HE DID, ON LEAGUE NIGHTS, CLOSE TO THE END OF MY 2ND GAME, THE BALL STARTS NAILING THE HEAD PIN, TIME TO MOVE FEET OVER 3 BOARDS, AND TARGET SPOT ONE BOARD, AND THATS IT, BACK IN POCKIT AGAIN, I THINK IF I HAD TO TAKE JUST ONE BALL THIS WOULD BE IT

This ball is fantastic! Storm has done it again. Not only does it smell good, it looks good and hits hard. This ball is perfect for those medium to dry lane situations. This ball gets through the heads easily and seems to pickup speed as it moves down the lane. Then BOOOOM! Those pins they go a flying. This ball like all the Eraser predecessors definitely does not disappoint. I shot a few 200's with this ball and when the lanes start to break down, I knowI can go to this ball and count on it to do the job.

This ball is a great ball for the price. Bring it out first game of tournament, however, and there are some problems. Doesn't respond that well to the heavy oil at all, which is assumed because it is not designed to. But i plan to try the Boost next, because i have seen first hand how it compares to the Blaze on heavy oil lanes. But for a typical house shot, this ball dominates! It is a sight to amaze when this ball hits somewhere near the pocket, and still manages to destroy the pins. Another top ball from storm!

Drilling: Pin below ring finger, CG in the middle, slightly kicked out. This ball is supposed to be a skid / snap ball, but I can't second that. At least with this drilling, in my hands this ball is rather arcing. It's not the smoothest arc and there is definitely a strong backend pop, but it's not as bad as I have seen on other balls before. On the lane conditions this ball was made for, it rolls with medium strength and almost takes off when it hits the dry. Nonetheless, this ball is pretty versatile; when I play on heavier oil than I am supposed to with this ball, I can play a more direct line. In this case, this ball is pure skid / snap. It does very little arcing in the beginning and really flies towards the pins when it reaches the backend. The ball hits with amazing energy and mixes the pins badly. I almost feel sorry for the poor fellas. The Blaze is really sensitive towards hand position changes and handles carrydown a lot better than most other balls. It's roll is p

I LOVE THE BALL FIRST OFF BECAUSE IT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY LONNIE WALICZEK WHO IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PRO BOWLERS SECOND IS BECAUSE I SHOT A 760 WITH IT AND MY 3RD 289. STILL HAVEN'T SHOT THE 300 YET BUT I LOVE STORM PRODUCTS I HAVE THE BLAZE A SHOCK TRAUMA AND I JUST BOUGHT MY X-FACTOR BUT HAVEN'T THROWN IT YET BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO THROW IT. HOPEFULLY I CAN GET IT DRILLED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND TRY IT OUT ON THE LANES BUT I AM PRETTY SURE I WILL LOVE IT JUST AS I LIKED THE BLAZE

When I first threw this ball it took about 9 games before it really started to get a good snap on the back end. But once it got a good track worn in this ball really reacted well. I don't think it's quite as good of a ball as the original Eraser but it isn't to short of it. If you like skid/snap balls then this ball is a must have. This is another Storm ball that has worked well for me. Other than really heavy oil this ball performs well. And you gotta love the smell.

If any bowler has around $200 lying around. They all should invest in the Eraser Boost and Eraser Blaze. I bought the Boost back in November and was amazed. Usual sets were like 245-215-176. The reason was the ball was impossible to control when it went dry. I got the Blaze and now I always start with the boost and I will end with the blaze. Sets now look like 245-233-246- (Which coincidentally was what I shot last night (hehehehe)) One gentleman approached me and saw all of my gear. Which includes four storm balls and a storm bag and asked if I was sponsered by Storm. Of course I said I was and was going to have to charge $5 dollars an autograph. Seriously you might want to consider it. It is going to be worth something one day with storm producing balls like these.

I used it about 15 times so far and it holds a 175 average. My average before the ball was 145. Before I got this ball I had to work for 200+ games but within the first four games with the Blaze I got two 200+ games. With this ball I am very comfortable. All my other balls I had to work to get a decent score. This is one of the best balls ever made, and it is the best ball I ever thrown. Trust me it is an awsome ball. Now I am done reviewing this ball and trying to get to 100 words thank you. :>)

This is an extremely excellent ball. Hi revs and fast rolling makes it perfect for crankers. Strokers can bowl with it to, but is more for bigger hooking shots. Excellent over 3rd and 4th arrow not so good for an up the line shot, but is a hard hitting ball. Unforgiving if you release it wrong, leaving terrible splits. As i have said, this is a hook monster, needs to be kept clean and polished most of the time. Not suitable for someone with no experience wit storm balls, as it tends to pull the bowler down. Next step up from the Boost PBT i've yet to shoot a 300 with it, but have shot 290 and a few 260+

I really like this ball. It's definetely a good ball to keep in your arsenal when you come across dryer conditions.I tried this ball on a sport shot and shot inside fourth arrow, and it finished great. I ended up in third in that tourney and the whole 9 games i never switched balls. One thing i said earlier though, was that the ball sometimes finishes late and leaves a solid 10 pin. Even when i sanded it down, it still left solid 10 pins alot more than my other balls. I recommend this ball to anyone who likes the skid - flip bals.

With this ball I put the pin 5" from PAP. I was hoping for a lot of length with it. Everything I was told about this ball said it would naturally go long. With a box finish it just rolled too early and wouldn't make back if I gave it some room. I added some polish to it and was able to eliminate the early roll but when the lanes break down I get really inconsistent results. This ball is forgiving when you miss, in that it will find the pocket but if I am not online I can't get the 10 out. I tried this ball out on conditions with stronger back-ends and got much more consistent results until the heads began to break down, I found myself going to something else for a bit more area inside. Really nice roll from this one but very lane condition specific.

This is yet another great product from Storm. Kills the pins and leaves only easy 1 or 2 pin spares. This ball makes it through the heads cleanly and is ready to hit the pocket with tremendous force! This ball has been used well and well used perfect for the light to medium oil paterns comes back harder on synthetics but adjusting is half the sport. This yet another great product and is highly recommended by anyone who has used one. No arsenal should be without one and at the price how can you pass this ball up!?!?Get One today!

This a good ball so far. I drilled it 41/2 by 31/2 with pin over the fingure with no extra hole. I bought this ball to replace my super power pearl.storm bowling ball tend to longer then some other companies. I need some length, which this ball will do. But when it gets to the back end it takes a left turn with lots of power to the pocket. Over all this ball is everything I need in our regular house shot. Right now this is the only ball I have been using this season. storm has a winner here.<s

From a bowlers stand-point this ball is great for a normal run-of-the-mill house shot. Say 30' evenly accross or even a slight christmas tree pattern. If you have too much oil the ball breaks late and goes behind the three pin. If the oil is not there dont bother getting this thing out of your bag. From a drillers point-of-view this ball is so easy to lay out and it works as advertised according to the layouts. The drill patterns are not wrist specific. Leverage works the way leverage is supposed to work and so on. OVERALL this ball is a little lane specific. If you have the power then you can compensate for that but if you dont then you only get about three games before you are switching out for something with a little more length. Negative weight is the way to go if you have the wrist. It saves up more energy and when it unleashes it look out.
