Storm did a good job on this ball I like it alot and I would probably go as far to say that its my favorite ball I own right now I also would recommend not throwing this ball outside cause at times it can take off on you. I would recommend you to throw this ball a little straighter if you hook your ball then you should throw it up 2nd arrow then it should hit fine if its a good shot this ball is a very predictable ball I myself dont put alot of revs on it because at my house (which is synthetic) will go Brooklyn everytime.

Not quite satisfied with the Freak nor Mutant, this hooked-on-Track-balls-bowler looked at other manufacturers to find a ball to match the heaviest oil. I play with high speed and high revs and Storm has a big variety of low RG core, particle coverstock balls to choose from. This balls path is extreamly predictable and that's a rare quality in the heaviest oil. The hittingpower doesn't match the Assassin so I can't give it a perfect 10 but I prefferre it over my Mutant which I gave a 9 so I'd like to give the Core Power LRG a 9 1/2 :-)

this isnt a ball folks...its a miracle. i just got this ball today, and when i tried it out i bowled a 235 on my first game with it. to me that score is high, as you can tell by my account name. anyways, this ball is great, the best ball i have. that all i can really say about this great ball. very strong. you can miss the pocket and still have a lot of luck getting all those pins down. if you get this ball youre smart. is this one hundred words yet. man its not. alright lets count now. one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen ok this should be "the minimum amount of words" now

drill my LRG 4x3 found the ball to read the midlane very easily and make a very strong move to the pocket. had a second one i drilled 5x4 and it had ore length and more flip. best buy for the buck out there i feel for med/heavy oil. some people fon't like the yellow/blue cover or the smell but i loved it. have been able to play either ball from 1st to 4th arrow with no loss of cary. 4x3 ball started to weaken deeper than 4th arrow but 5x3 was able to play as deep as 27 or 28 with great cary<sc

This ball exorcies an extreme amount of control with a high amount of hook. I had mine sanded after it was polished for quite some time. I really like this ball becuase it can hook and make it to the pocket when alot ofother balls can't EXCEPT on flooded contionions. Even though the ball smells horrible, the coverstock seems to be somewhat adjustable. But one thing to look out for this the cleansliness of the coverstock. This ball seems to lose it reaction rather quikcly if the coverstock is not wiped down, cleaned or even resurfaced. This is one of my favorite balls ever and one of my first performance balls. I also really like the color on this ball. And for the Ratings: Hook: 90/100 (Lots of Hook) Breakpoint: 35/100 (Very Smooth) Length: 55/100 (Pretty Midlane)

This is a strong ball. This is the first time ive played with the cadmium coverstock, and it does finish better than the regular Accu-Tread while still sliding just as well. Im comparing this to my Tour Power mainly and it does significantly outhook that ball, and is infact my hookiest ball at the moment. It revs up nice and early without overhooking - i find this gives me a very controllable shot. Even with the midlane roll (similar to the Tour Power) there is still a definite snap on the backend (whereas the TP smoothes out the backend reaction). You will still get length from this ball regardless of the Low RG - all that does is build energy for the backend snap. I have just bought a V2 Particle which is taking over as my oil ball, so i have polished up the LRG. Have only thrown a few shots with it polished, and to be honest, the reaction and shape of shot is not that much different. I had a problem when the ball was dull, having my line dry up and having to switch

THIS IS FOR ME ONE OF THE BEST BALL OF STORM COMPANIE IS THE BALL IN THE MARKET WITH THE LOWEST RADIUS OF GYRATION SO THIS RG MAKES A GREAT HOOK IN MEDIUM-HEAVY OIL I THROW WITH THIS BALL 289 . the Core Power LRG is a serious performer on a variety of conditions. This innovative design produces a very fast-revving mid-lane motion and ultimately unleashes a ferocious backend AND THE BALL MAKES ALL BECAUSE IF YOU DOWN YOUR SPEED THE BALL DOESNT HOOK MORE OR LESS SO THIS A VERY GOOD CONTROL BALL I ALSO RECOMENDED TO YOU THE CORE POWER HRG FOR CONDITIONS MORE DRY BECAUSE THE CORE POWER LRG DOESNT LIKE THE DRY DONT SMELL THE BALL IS HORRIBLE

the ball was just way too much ball for my taste.but it was very versatle for a particle.it is much better when it is shined up.it hookes a lot.and it loves too carry those pins if you hit the pocket lite nine times out of ten it will carry.and oh my god does this ball hit like a truck.it sort of hits too hard.it is definetly fairly priced.but dont forget just because i said it was versatle doesnt mean you dont also need a ball for lighter oil.but this is an all around Ok bowling ball.

this ball is a very good price ball for a high quality storm ball. this ball is for hevy - medium oil conditions but i prefered the sport conditions i go to a tournament in sonora bay and i increased my average for 159 to 185 with this ball but this ball its stinky but when i put the ultra clean tebth frame cleaner the ball stop smeeling but this my personal view of the smell also this ball have very good core power the sames name of the ball say all.A CORE POWER with very low radius of giration and a hig differential for a hig rev player in oily conditions

This is a great ball for the price! i would reccomend it to anyone for med. to heavy oil. It is my best carrying ball it loves the light mixers! It keeps the pins really low carries the corner pins even when i think it wont. I have had this ball for 4 months now and the reaction has not gone yet still like brand new(which was my biggest worry when getting this ball) This is quickly become my goto ball for all but extreme conditions! It does pick up alot of dirt but cleans easily no problem. This is my first Storm product but definately will not be my last!

I have one of these myself, and have drilled 2 others for members of our world championships men's team. This review will incorperate views on all 3. On oil, this ball rolls very nice, picks up well in the mid lane, and can finish strongly if there is some back end. IMO, if the outsides are dryer, whice you can hold the ball a little, being a particle ball, it somtimes still over reacts, so there are better balls for the walled shots. In one of our ranking events this year, we played on a complete gutter to gutter flood, with little backend, and i managed to win by rolling straight up around the 13 board, and found carry to be plentiful when most people were struggling, even with little drive. This is a good ball for heavy oil, however if there is a lot of dry anywhere on the lane, there are better balls. For heavy oil with good back end, the X factor range are much better, IMHO. I have had 4 of these. Each time using a 4 3/4 by 4 1/4 layout. Always use pins that are 1 - 1.5, top weight around 2.5 - 3. This layout just makes the ball roll and gives it predictability. The ball will not hook out of the building but it will get the job done. Love the versatility because when I tkae my hand out of it the ball still has something left down the late to make it hit. I use this ball so many times on sport conditions and by far it gives me my best look. The only pattern it was not great on was the short pattern (18 ft buff to 34 ft). Great first ball out of the box on a fresh house pattern. Wouldn't give you over reaction on fresh backends.

I've had this ball for three months. I had a hard time finding the pocket consistantly at first. For the past two weeks I have been practicing more with it and have managed to find the placement that works. This ball works wonders for me so far on house conditions. The real test however will come in May when I begin league bowling. As of now I'm able to maintain over a 200 average with this ball. I believe this ball has great potential and will submit another entry with progress. Know when to put it away like any other ball when the lanes become too dry.

I have had nothing but trouble with this ball. One game will be good then crap followed by more crap then good and so on. When it gets to the pocket it has awsome carry. It hits as hard as any Storm ever has. I haven't found a condition that I can use it on though. I will keep trying. Every ball has a shot I just have to figure out where this one belongs. Going to play with the finish on the ball and will update this as I go along. Seems I am short a few words. I give it 6 pins for now, subject to change.

Well I have not bowled with it enought to know if I like it or not. I am not consistent at all with it. Before this ball I've been rolling the EL NINO. But from the past six games that I bowled with the CORE POWER LRG for the past two weeks, I rolled a 199, 156, 254, 149, 165, and 221. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I do not hook the ball that much. I am more of a stroker. Maybe some of you guy can give me some insight on what I can do to improve my game. So I can not exactly blam it on the ball yet, I might have to blame it on me fo now.

My first Storm was the X-Factor. I love that ball but wanted something that would give me a little more length but still give me the backend that the X-Factor did. My pro shop guy suggested the Core Power LRG. We layed it out and drilled it with the cg in the palm of my hand and the pin over my ring finger. The first time I threw it I was amazed. It went long and turned the corner smoothly, no snap. When it entered the pocket all I saw were pins laying on the deck. It threw the pins low and left nothing standing. I couldn't believe it. I think this ball hit's harder than my X-Factor. First time bowling with this ball on my sunday league I scored a 280 the first game and thought wow. The second game just got better with a 286 and the third game fell off a bit with a 258 but who's complaining?

Test ball: 15 lbs., pin 2-3/4"; drilled stacked-leverage, balance hole on PAP Bowler: RH, senior, stroker, "rotationally-challenged" Condition: OLD wood lanes- heads freshly re-coated. Fresh league "house" shot. Having seen what others were doing with this thing, I couldn't wait to get mine. When it finally arrived, I had no chance to practice with it after laying it out and drilling it. Therefore, I used it for the first time in league without ever throwing the ball before, which is something I NEVER do. I needn't have worried. This ball is RIDICULOUS. On fresh oil, the ball scoots 45 feet, turns smoothly and controllably, sets up and accelerates in a TOTALLY predictable line. If you miss right, it sets up a bit earlier and moves a bit more; if you tug it, it holds and sets up later. Either way, it's FLUSH. And the pins never travel more than about 3"-4" off the deck-- it holds them REALLY low. Carry is amazing. First game, lots of people shot big numbers, but that's normal

I used this ball on a flat medium/heavy oiled condition. I used a ball with a 3-4 pin and a 3oz. top weight. This ball was drilled stacked leverage with a half oz. of side left in the ball. It was outstanding in the mid-lane(very easy to read the ball path) despite the yellow swirls. The ball did not over grab on the back end. It simply continued through the pit with exceptional carry on light, half, and flush hits. This could definately be the first ball out of the bag for many players (unless you bowl in a dry house or on drier tournament conditons). I highly recommend this piece for flat to walled conditions. An excellent value also.

Will supplement with a personal account as soon as my own arrives and is drilled. So far, big numbers have been shot by strokers and more powerful players, left and right handed, on everything from fresh, first-shift oil, to late first-shift carrydown, and on into a late-second-shift wasteland; no one has reported any over/under and no one has had to move much all night. Might be less effective on super-floods or Sport, or on a parched desert; no evidence yet. But so far, no condition I've seen it tried on, that it doesn't work on.

Have only thrown this ball a few games but I can't believe how much area it creates for me. Extremely forgiving of my release, this ball struck HARD from a variety of angles and at a house that is nototrious for it's heavy carrydown. Standing on 32, throwing over 20 out to 8. Ball really covers the boards to get to the pocket. Drilled very similar to Storm's #2 pattern. It's been a very long time since I had a ball work so well with so little effort. I can't wait to use it again.

This is really a great ball. I don't own one, but my best friend (who I would classify as a "power tweener") just bought one a few weeks ago and I was impressed enough to write a review. I'd say it's one of the two or three the best balls I've ever seen him throw. He's usually between second and third arrow out to bewteen 5 and 10 on a house condition. It's drilled to skid-flip and it does that well. Like I said in the intro, it's not a ball for heavy oil - it doesn't seem to recover if the backends aren't moving enough - but if there are backends, it makes a turn and hits hard. The amazing thing about this ball is that it doesn't appear to really flip as hard as other equipment but the power that it hits with is unbelieveable. So far, I haven't seen many corners or back row pins. We'll see what happens as it tracks. After dropping to about 215 avg this year (from 220 last year), I don't think he's thrown under 700 with this ball yet. Had 299 last night. I would recomm

This ball is great, I just needed to figure out what I was doing wrong when I used it. My average went up to 195 from my previous average of 178. That's 17 pins of increased average!!! I was going about it all wrong. It did me a lot of good last year. More two hundred games than previously. I shot a league high 277... I know it's not much but it did the trick. I love the way it reacts now since I was throwing it incorrectly before. I have a hard time putting it away even when the lanes dry out. I'll use a different line rather than put it away. Buy this ball...you won't regret it!

As my passion for Storm's continues, this ball reminded me why. The LRG is super heavy rolling piece that revs in the mid-lane to provide control of the breakpoint. The 5 x 3-1/2 layout gets this ball through the heads very clean. Then you see the ball come to life as it manages the breakpoint and turns over. But just when you think this ball is about to hook off the charts it goes into a heavy arc. I bought this ball on Saturday and unleashed it in travel league on Sunday to see what it would do on a 38-foot house shot. This ball took six games to pay for itself many times over...so I know I like this ball. In addition, I rolled 600 in my sport league with it and my spare game was sucking. From 3 days of use...THIS BALL IS THE TRUTH!<sc
