I've had this ball for about 6 months and have used it on a variety of conditions. This is a great ball for a tweeker with average speed as it goes long and has a smooth arc to the pocket. This ball really doesn't know the first 20 feet of the lane, absolutely a great read through the heads. The incredible length this ball gives you makes it very speed sensitive...when the ball goes too long, I take a little speed off and it crushes the pocket. Excellent pin carry as long as the backends are clean. Also, this ball needs some dry boards, or it will be ineffective. Lots of weak 10s with it on these conditions. However, I believe it is advertised as a medium oil ball anyway.... The ball came with a strong scent from the factory...probably because Storm owns Rotogrip and they decided to flavor it for fun! Mine is drilled leverage and I polished it up quite a bit. First game in league I shot 269 with this baby! A great ball for anyone! Make more ROTO!!!

This is my number one ball in the bag right now. I have 3 of them hidden in the proshop undrilled for me...! Will carry a light hit like you have never seen. Revs up well, and has energy to spare when it hits the pocket. I have used the ball on oily lanes with flying backends, you just have to give it room playing way inside over 20-25 and a lot of revs. On med. oil you can play the 15-10 board shot with a bit of swing, not much hand - just let it roll into the pocket for an explosive hit. The ball has paid for itself 10 times over in the last 6 months. What can I say other than ...ROTO GRIP PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER SERIES OF SD-73's...!!!!!!

I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for a great second squad or go-to ball. Very versatile ball as long as there is any kind of backend available. This ball is a wonderful complement to the original SD73; very similar reaction going longer and turning harder at the breakpoint. I had mine drilled rather weak to accomodate the drier conditions I'm used to bowling on. Pin below bridge, CG swung out about an inch. Regardless, this ball gives me great recovery from inside and can also hang on the rail for down and in shots. Phenominal length with a strong, but consistent arcing motion on the backend. Hooks about 7 boards less than my Inferno, but about 3-5 boards more than my Blue Retro Roto pearl. Hits the pocket really hard scattering the pins low. Not a good candidate for oil. This ball will skid into the pindeck if there's major carrydown. Too bad they only made 500 of these. A must for every arsenal, but you may want to get something a little more aggressive for h
