As the weak are eliminated, an EPIC BATTLEâ„¢ rages on! Roto Grip has forged the most effective weapon for the battlefield and puts it in the palm of your hand. Armoring the EPIC BATTLEâ„¢ is the new Ultimate Visionâ„¢ solid particle coverstock. The unique blend of a super strong base reactive material in combination with a light particle load gives you traction in the heaviest of oils. At the heart of the Battle is the new Maximus IIâ„¢ weight block. This low RG (2.48) / High Differential (.050) core creates a Mass Bias Differential of (.026) that generates an earlier move in the lane, then delivers a bone-crushing backend reaction. * Cover Stock: Ultimate Vision Solid Particle (1% Load (light load) for added traction) * Weight Block: Maximus II Core

My wife wanted a big hook ball to compliment her Hammer Toxic. The price was right on the Epic Battle so we knocked some holes in it and tied the shoes tight. This ball is total, non-stop hook that still has power at the pins. It does have a slight roll-out at impact but does not deflect through the pocket like most roll-outs do. Carry is great, especially on high flush hits and the turn in the oil is impressive. Overall, she is very happy with the ball and enjoys her new found ability to swing a ball through the swamp.

This ball just rips racks up!! Pins are flying around and you don't have to hit "spots" with this ball. I just threw a 300-790 with it on Monday and I should have more than just the one 300 I have with this ball. I know in the last 8 weeks I haven't shot lower that 740 with it. I throw the ball with some speed and this ball compliments that perfectly. The ball never stops working even when on some shots I do!! So for anyone out there looking for a ball that's agressive and the bowler has some speed on his or her ball than this ball would be great for you. It will roll evenly for you and not flip as hard as some other balls do.

I got this ball after acquiring the epic saga. Ball was drilled identical to the saga. Pin below the bridge(1-2 inch) cg kicked 45degrees. Ball gets through the heads clean and makes strong but readable move in the midlane. Excellent carry even when the pocket was perfectly hit. Was surprised given the weight of the ball. This ball handles house shot with carry down, viper and scorpion sport shot well. I was very impressed. Also, given the fact the saga was drilled identically, once this ball would no longer hold the line, I could change to the Saga and continue to play same line. I am glad I acquired these 2 balls.

Ok, so my assumption after hearing what I have about the color scheme is that Battles weren't supposed to be pretty anyway! Lol.. Seriously though, this ball is a very solid oil ball for all sorts of games. To the people who say it's bad for crankers, I have a pretty high rev rate and I like this ball a lot. It's controllable off the spot, very smooth and despite how hard it hits, it keeps the pins low. I have drilled them for guys like me and stroker lefties with no speed (so the complete opposite of me) and never heard any complaints. My only real issue with it would be it performs MUCH better at the factory surface, for example, if you polish it too much it doesn't really hook at all anymore and if you sand it it hooks a bit too early, but that isn't really a problem, just leave it factory! This ball is a heavy rolling ball that tracks easily on oil I drilled mine in a arcing position There is not enough oil on our regional patterns to use this ball but the ball more than paid for it self on one of my leagues they put an excess amt. of oil on the heads I whipped this bad boy out of the box and easily shot 740 winning 400 bucks in side action I did this after I was struggling to avg. deuce with my other roto balls I feel this ball is for heavy oil or for bowlers with massive ball speed The ball hits good keeping the pins low<scri

Armoring the EPIC BATTLEtm is the new Ultimate Visiontm solid particle coverstock. Very Strong ball Players with little hand can use this ball because of its powerful hit. Players with strong hand have to give the ball some room because of its strong turn. I purchased this ball from my favorite proshop buddies in Conn. Just bowled a 300 hundred with it I love this Ball great job roto grip. Thank you, Chris for this great ball your friend Joey Bassil

Layed out 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 with weight hole on PAP. This ball is very angular for a solid particle ball. Having seen this ball in action at a PBA Regional I decided to punch one up. This ball revs up hard right off your hand and doesn't stop until it hits the curtain. This ball has more power and contiuation than any heavy oil ball I have used since the Storm Vertigo. It handles the heaviest of oil with ease and makes a hard left when it encounters the end of the pattern. I have been able to play straight up twig and move deep in to 37 at the arrows with great success. Long heavy patterns are no match for this monster. The cover does get dirty quickly and since it is a particle it will need regular cleaning to maintian OOB reaction. So far this one is a winner. Best heavy oil ball I've used in years! Nice job Roto.

The Epic Battle is a ball to have for heavy oil. I recently bowled a PBA Sr regional on Brunswick Anvil lane, 44' pattern. Started out qualifying with a 290, and finished 2'nd for the tournament. For the 17 games I bowled over the course of 2 days, the Epic Battle was my first choice when I needed roll through the heads, control in the midlane, and power on the back end. This ball was designed with an 800 grit matte finish for a reason. Let it stay that way. If you want entra length in a low rg ball, get an RS-X.

I am by no means a cranker but I had way too much hand for this ball. Unless I forced a flat shot, this thing would start turning left virtually at the foul line. When I was able to flatten it out enough to get it to the hole without it being completely burned out it carried great but it was just way too much effort to use this thing. Besides, it's been a long time since I've seen such a butt ugly ball! words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words words

I drilled up the Battle to tackle demanding lane conditions (inconsistent backends) I got exactly what I was looking for. The Maximus core design gives constant and continual motion, similar to a tank. Once you get it going you can't stop it. The particle coverstock moved through the heads better than I expected and was able to chase the oil inside without losing performance. I drilled it B,C off the drill chart to control the backend reaction. Results were immediate and not one ball skid through the breakpoint. I consider this Battle won. Keep off dry lanes as the coverstock is much to strong for shorter patterns without adjusting the surface. Kelly ODriscoll Roto Grip Staff

This was a monster right out of the box. I was pleased with the color scheme and the overall look. Roto-grip did a great job on this ball. The pin is 4" out for me and it is great through the heads and reads the mid-lane well. I highly recommend this ball to anyone looking for something to cover heavy oil conditions! You won't regret it! The ball doesn't track out that fast either. I just use some surface cleaner and it does what I want it to do every time. Not really sure what else to say other than you should check out eBay to get the best deal on prices. Got mine for under $100 when it was going for $240 at the pro shop.

I wanted a ball that was going to let me stand further left and play further in on the oil and had no real idea how this ball was going to react so I drilled it stacked leverage. I am a tweener with medium to slow ball speed and I usually drill my pins 4 to 5" from my axis so I was expecting this ball to hook early out of the box. Figured I could always polish it. I was pleasantly surprised at the length I got without polishing it. The two things that became obvious early were how forgiving the ball was and the great pin carry I got with it. I have had plenty of aggressive balls and I have found in the past the more aggressive a ball is the less forgiving it is. Not the Battle. I found that where other balls wouldn't recover if I tugged them into the oil a bit early the Battle still finished. If I got the ball a bit wide it would hook and sit and still hit the pocket. Usually when I'm right of target even if the ball hits the pocket it's a sure 10 pin but not with this ball.

If you are looking for a heavy oil ball you can't go wrong with the Epic Battle. You will be noticed when you throw this ball. Anyone who hasn't thrown Roto Grip before, do yourself a favor and pick this ball up. I dirlled mine pin over ring finger and mb to right of thumb. For me this ball just rolls through the pins better than the Epic, and is about 3-5 boards stronger. I drilled one of these up for a straight guy and his quote to me was "you can buy a hook in a box" This ball flat out is AWESOME!!!!!

I have mine drilled up with the pin over the middle finger with everything kicked out toward the negative axis point. I kept about -3/8 to -1/2 side weight and a little bit of finger weight. The ball is exceptional, it gets through the heads clean; revs up in the mid lane; does not want to over react on the backend; and just explodes through the pins. One major plus is this ball tends to be very versatile. I have drilled up one for a team mate with no hand and lots of speed. He is able to keep within his comfort zone throughout the night, even with all the right handers using the same line as him. I can not wait to get this ball on some real oil.

IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS, I HAVE TRIED STORM TRIFECTA, EBONITE BIG TIME, EPIC AND EPIC BATTLE. THE MAXIMUS CORE IS FLAT OUT AMAZING. IN HEAVY OIL I START OUT WITH EPIC BATTLE. ONCE THE OIL GETS LIGHT I SWITCH TO THE EPIC. NEITHER ONE SEEMS TO COLLECT TO MUCH OIL. BOTH BALLS ROLL OUT NICELY AND DRIVES INTO THE PINS LIKE WOOD SEEKING MISSLES. PIN ACTION IS KEPT LOW AND BOUNCING ALL OVER. HAVE MORE STRINGS OF STRIKES WITH THESE TWO BALLS THAN ANY OTHER TIME IN MY 44 YEARS OF BOWLING. AM TRYING ONE MORE NEW BALL TONITE IN LEAGUE, A MORICH TOTAL ANNILATION. WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT COMPARES AT A LATER DATE. SIX MONTHS ON THIS BALL NOW - STILL GOING STRONG - BOWLED 749 SERIES WITH IT TWO WEEKS AGO. IT CAN'T BE YOUR ONLY BALL BUT IT WILL BE ONE OF YOUR BEST!

This ball was first polished with Brunswick polish. I did this because I was looking for a ball that would give me a similar look on the lanes as The One did. This ball is by far BETTER! With this ball, you can actually clean the cover and the ball wont lose its reaction. Anyway, this ball turns hard and fast! If you looking for a piece that allows you to play in deep or up the boards and hits like a ton of bricks, then the Epic Battle is for you! And for the makers of this 100 word minimum...BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLHA BOO BOO BOO

I had this ball drilled pin in (1 inch) with pin below my ring finger and cg bounced out a little bit. The Mass Bias is straight down past the thumb hole. Out of the box finish. No weight hole. I first threw this ball on a left over house pattern with considerable carry down. To my amazement, this ball recovered real well on the backend and still managed to conserve enough energy to hit real hard and keep the pins low. Also with this ball, my carry is unbelievable! I can carry with this ball just about any angle I enter the pocket. Compared to the way I have my oracle drilled (stacked leverage w/ weight hole. Pin out. Shined to 1500) the Epic Battle will read the lanes so much sooner and more aggressively then my Oracle, which is better used for transition. The Epic Battle is the ball you can take out of your bag during the A squad when the lanes are very slick, and open up the surface with. During my sport league, we bowled on a 36ft. pattern (Medium) on heddon synthetic la

The Battle Epic is a heavy oil ball designed for bowlers who prefer Particle over Reactive on Oily Lanes.( The huge Maximus II core is back combined with Ultimate Vision Solid Particle (light load) This Ball Has Superb recovery & Super Hitting Power I like it in it natural state. Out of the Box: 800 Machine Sanded With this finish the Battle Epic will match up well on Oily to medium-dry . The Battle Epic will quickly established a reputation in ball reaction, . On the lanes reaction was clean through the heads with excellent mid-lane recovery and a strong back-end Depending on your hook preference, In it Natural form ( sanded) it hook slightly earlier than the original Epic Any person looking for a strong movement with intensity this one should at the top their list. <scr
