Reaction Characteristics The Brunswick International Series is designed to match-up to typically more demanding international lane conditions. The Red Alert 4 combines Brunswick’s proven PowerKoil 18 Reactive coverstock with the core system from the Danger Zone to create a ball reaction that has a hook potential similar to the Danger Zone II, but with a more skid/snap arc. More aggressive in the oil than the Danger Zone 1 and more aggressive off the dry than the Danger Zone II, the Red Alert 4 matches up well on medium-oily to oily lane conditions. It took a couple of weeks to get use to this ball, I bowl twice a week. The more I have used it the better I like it except when the land gets too dry. I had the ball sanded before using it, 1000 grit. This would the recommended place to start. I may have it with 800 grit to see what it does to the hook. So far very satisfying ball, and looks pretty too. I would give the ball a review of 8.5 to 9 because I have yet to see the perfect ball, or to have thrown the perfect ball.
