This is probably the longest of the Legends series and fills a void in the line. This ball clears the heads with ease and moves swiftly off of the dry with a smooth, angular turn. By no means is this a dry lane ball but it does need dry somewhere down the lane to turn. If you like to play the outside, this ball will meet your needs - if your a big cranker, the over/under you'll get will frustrate you and your teammates. This is a good follow up of the New Standard 2 without the huge hook and carry is as good as anything else out there.<scrip

The ball moves cleanly through the heads. Once this ball makes it's move, it keeps going, seeming not to lose any of its energy afterwards. Hits the pocket like a freight train. This ball has left me fewer corner pins than any other ball I roll. It has also left me fewer splits with errant shots. Pins going flying, and my average has improved 10+ pins since purchasing this ball. Now that I see the quality of the product, I will buy more Lane Master/Legends balls. My wife even wants one since she has seen how predictable the roll and reaction of this ball actually is.I got turned onto the product line by a bowling friend who rolls nothing but Lane Master. I was skeptical at first due to the MSRP. Once I found them to be reasonable on-line, I decided to try one. I guess I really need to thank him again for his suggestion.

I was struggling at one AMF house that the oil seemed to transition down the lane farther as the nite went on. Purchased the Black Pearl for this problem and it was the answer. It flat out ignores carrydown rolls right thru it with out a wiggle and yet stores enough energy to hit amazingly hard. Slow speed players will love this ball on heavy to med oil, but put it away on dry, it becomes too hard to control. High speed players will love it for the spotty lanes that it will handle with ease giving you a consistant look and hard hit and carry. This was my first LaneMaster/Legends ball and I could not be happier. They willl definetely be getting more of my business in the future!

This ball is fantastic. Mixed with the Sting, you can adjust to almost every lane condition. The more swirly the lanes are, the better this ball reads for me. Very versitile as well. Can go outside 8 or inside 25. For me, when soft, it floats and hits like a tank. I can also put hand in it, straighter line, and still finish strong. I can definately see why this one of the most popular Legends/Lane Master balls. This is the 4th ball from this company that I have, and I plan on getting more. Worked well on PBA Experience patterns. Works very good on house patterns as well.

This is the 1st ball i got when i switched to a fingertip grip and started to learn to throw with a hook. It was rough at the beginning but once i got used to it this ball just killed. i had it drilled for length with backend. it doesnt have a strong snap for me but it is a real nice arcing ball with some serious hitting power. when it hits the pocket everyone around knows it. It came with a SeeSaw, polish, Cleaner, and pads to change the surface of the ball if you want to. I would definately recommend this ball to anyone. Thank you Legends for this great ball.

My ball driller after many, many years finally talked me into the Legends/Lanemasters Line of bowling balls. I figured since he was so ecstatic over the entire Line I would give the "Black Pearl" a try. Well I finally got to throw this ball over the weekend in a tournament. My conclusion is, this ball is a head turning monster! I purchased the ball from Mike Miller at 10 Pins and More in Rio Rancho, NM. He is sold on the entire Legends/Lanemaster line, in fact even his sister Hall of Famer Dana Miller-Mackie is sold on the stuff. We bowled collectively as a team this weekend and destroyed everyone in team event, plus Mike and I won the doubles. Everyone on the adjacent pairs keep trying to see what we were throwing. Anyway, heres the scoop on the ball. Ball OOB came 15lbs 3 oz, 3 oz of top weight and 3" pin above and right of ring stacked leverage with a small weight hole. The ball in box condition was perfect for fresh oil, but I had to polish it up to use later in the day when

I bought this ball from Buddies Pro Shop online. I ordered it specifically for a 3 to 4 inch pin from CG. I received it with a 4 inch pin and a 3.5 ounce top weight, perfect for what my ProShop had planned. The weight is 15 pounds. I am a stroker with low revs and medium speed. I bowl at the second arrow, ball moving out to touch the first arrow board, and then arcing in to the pocket. I was wanting a ball to not go over/under, or overreact to my still correcting hand releases. (I had a very bad back problem, am doing better, but of course changed my release back to what it was 7 years ago versus during the problem.) My pro shop guy, Jake, drilled it pin negative, cg kicked out, and a wide weight hole 2/3rds down of spacing between fingers and thumb near my PAP. ..P..... ..O.o... ......cg .........X ...O.... This layout rocks. The ball is very clean through the heads, makes a clean hard arc for the pocket, with smashing back end power. If I give too much hand or tweak the

Drilled for max-flare (stacked leverage, with x-hole in max flare position) and used on a rather wet house condition that is known for being tough this ball performed very well. Practiced a bit with factory finish and ball worked very well (cleared the mid easily) but I just couldn't leave things alone so I scuffed with the burgundy and then the grey scotch-brite pads (which came with the ball *smile*), and oh my, it really opened up the lanes for me. To provide perspective, I'm a 200+ average bowler, but mostly due to house conditions in my home town (on Sport Conditions, I'm a humbled 185 average bowler). Haven't tried this on our sport condition, but I really liked the predictability and good backend reaction of this ball on house. Best of all, the pins rebounded harder with this ball than I ever expected on what were admittantly not so great shots. The great pin reaction and controllable power of this ball has me sold more than anything else.
