Well I finally caved and bought one of these Lane 1 balls that everyone is raving about, And after putting a good amount of games on it i have to say that I am not impreesed with Lane 1, Not dissapointed either though, The Blueberry is a very good ball just not what it's cracked up to be. Anyway on to the review... 15lbs 3- 31/2" Pin, Drilled Label Leverage I do like the way the Blueberry moves, good midlane and big backend reaction. Revs fast and easily. The Blueberry works best for me on Medium conditions but can easily handle medium/Heavy with a cleaned backends. I don't know what it is about this ball I just like the way it rolls, it saves all its all it's energy for the backend. Now the onto the carry, Nothing really special on flush hits, my Inferno still hits harder. BUT light and high flush hits are another story, this will carry light hits all day long, it will break up shots that youd normaly leave buckets. And high flush will break up the ulgiest of splits. A great ball for crankers! I bought this ball for a medium oil house shot, but now it is my go to ball for my other two heavy oil leagues. This ball has a bigger back-end snap than my unpolished X-Factor Deuce. I'm still working on the consistency as it is not forgiving if you miss left. Miss right, and you're ok. Last night in the 3rd game I reeled off 9 in a row, so I think I'm getting it down. When you hit the pocket with this ball, it carries better than any ball I've thrown. I'm definitely going to look into more Lane 1 products in the future!

The coverstock is questionable. I like this ball but it seems to have only a small area of which to play. I could play with the cover a bit and take some of the dull off but I am afraid of sanding the coverstock off with 10,000 paper. :( If I compare this ball to my X-Factor it has a much smaller backend reaction and actually has more of an arching move to the hole whereas the X factor has more of a snapping movement. Together they make a good pair for me but I seem to use the X Factor much more than the blueberry. I could adjust and use the blueberry but why should I when the X-Factor seems to cover so many different condtions and the Blueberry is so condition specific?

NIB 16lb. 3-4" pin,4.+ oz.top Drilled label,7 length,9 backend inserts, no thumb slug Bought this ball because i wanted hook! Well Alice, I got it! Start extreme left over to the third arrow. this ball skids long and rips back to the pocket. I can miss my mark either way and it seems to find the pocket. Does seem to be speed sensitive. If I let off just a little, hello split! I don't believe that it has magical striking powers as Lane1 nuts will tell you but does hit very hard. Left plenty of 10 pins and splits. I am undecided as to whether hard hitting is better. My old Blue Nitro clears the pin deck just as well. the Nitro pushes the pins off the deck verses exploding them. All things said, I am very happy with this ball. Worth every penny! Lethal in the hands of any competant bowler!

We have drilled a couple of these for different bowlers in our shop and they all rave about how great this ball is. With the Reactive coverstock and the Buzzsaw C2 core, this ball is easy to read and makes a controlled move to the pocket. On most medium oil house shots this ball will shine. The ball comes out of the factory shines, but if you need more hook, scuff this ball up and it will give you more overall hook. I think that if you are a Lane #1 lover and you haven't tried this ball, you are missing out. If you want to try your first Lane #1 ball, then this should be it.<scrip

Drilled this ball over the label with the pin above the bridge. This ball is strong, but it is a controlled strength. You can see what the ball is doing very well, so it is easy to repeat the line. Another great ball from Lane#1. I personally am looking very anxiously at the release of the Emerald Pearl c/2, which will of course be green, but it is going to be a pearl blueberry in its roll type. With the blueberry, polish it, sand it, it doesn't care, the ball is very versatile, and will replace at least 2 of the other balls in your bag.
