this ball hooks off the wall. i think this is the greatest ball that hammer has ever made.it has the strongest backend of any hammer ball i have. i have the anger, doom, toxic, pain, the big deal, razorblade, black widow, and the black widow pearl. i've thrown all of balls on every type of pattern.i scored the best with my black widow bite. i just got back from la place and i bowled 651 with my black widow bite and i'm only ten years old. i won first place with my black widow bite that i got one day earlier.

The Black Widow Bite Is A Great Compliment To The Original Black Widow. This Ball Works Great In Heavy Oil. I Play Right Around Second Arrow And It Is In The Pocket Everytime. Around The Beginning Of The 3rd Game, You Will Have To Move Or Make A Ball Change. This Ball Will Soak Up Olil VERY QUICKLY Wash Around 1 A Week, After About A Month Or So, You Might Have To Polish It Or Hit It With A 500 Grit To Bring It Back To The Box Finish, Ball Does Not Like The Dry Lanes, Only Use On A Heavy Oil-Fresh Shot. Other Than That, The Black Widow Bite Is A Must Have In Your Bowling Bag!

Well I loved it out of the box you just have to maintain this ball like a girl in beverly hills. Its like its very materialistic, lol, After like 50 games it lost its movement and i had gotten it resurfaced and it still didnt bring it back. Then I then got to put it in the hoof again chamber, the steam chamber for twenty four hours and again it is hooking like it did out of the box and Im falling in love with it over again. I guess now I know that I just have to be on the balls maintnence.<scri

the only reason im not totally disapointed that i bought this ball is the fact that i won a lucky strike worth 450$ and a bunch of over average and high game with HC pots with it. so the ball paid for itself. BUT THE BALL WILL NOT LAST!! i uses ebonite powerhouse cleaner as reccomended, i woudl use a scotch brite pad, i even soaked the oil out of it several times and nothing restored the backed. the ball has a great start but will not last, i have a friend who has the exact same situation. ball lasted about 50 games then decided to quit out.<sc

Hammers best WIDOW. It hits great and doesnt die out easily. This ball should be drilled to go long though. A heavy roll or even arch might not suit this ball too well. With its great hitting potential and mid-lane roll up it makes a great tournament ball. First league I used it I rolled a 650 then the next week a 712. Keep the surface somewhat rough. Polish only if you plan on playing some drier surfaces. All in all Hammer out did themselves and made a great ball, better than the Pearl or Solid. This is a must buy for any bowler who is looking for THAT SHOT or THAT BALL or wants THAT NEW DIMENSION to their game.

just got the Black widow bite....just curious if anyone has any guidance on a good layout for me to put on this ball.....the pin is 3-4" and the top weight is 2-3 i believe......i play the lanes some where between 2nd and 3rd arrow....out to 5 or 6 usually on my house shot w/ speed around 16 or 17 mph....if this ball is anything like my black widow i will be very happy because i had much success with it....so if anyone could maybe give me a lil help on what success theyve had with this ball and what layout they have put on it i would appreciate it

this ball is a good hook ball. if you put to much on it it will go to far left for rightys and to far right for leftys but watch out this ball may be the best ball in 2008. this is a great ball for the average hammerhead just like me. my aresnal now consist of black widow bite, elite star, doom raw hammer. i am a true hammer head and if you want my opinion go for the hammer black widow bite it is an amazing ball and i just want to thank hammer for giving us the world the best bowling ball ever made. so take my advice and stop using the original black widow go for the hammer black widow bite. thank you hammer for being there for us!

I love this ball. I thought my Action Max was the best ball I had but I'm not so sure now. I got this ball to be medium-heavy ball with the Action Max as my heavy ball but this ball seems to hook just as much or more. It is strong and not jumpy. Smooth controlable breakpoint. Keeps it's energy exceptionaly well and hits with power. It never seems to jump or to skip on the lane. It looks like a sports car on rails. It's a great ball by Hammer. I am new Hammer fan.

Wow! I own several Hammer balls and this one is by far my favorite. The ball can cover for my mistakes and just simply finds it's way to the pocket. The Bite has incredible carry and I find myself getting a lot of strikes on bad shots. I am currently averaging about 15 pins higher average with this ball over any of my others. It even works on dry/burnt conditions when played in the middle of the lane where the only oil is. It turns the corner reliably. Easily the best ball I have ever thrown. Thank you Hammer for another great bowling ball.<scr

I'm a lefty and I usually play the outside line. I'm not a cranker, more like a stroker/tweener so I never really played on the inside line. So I decided to get a ball that will allow me to play the inside. At first I was like, no way is this ball gonna comeback, standing on 25th board and throwing it on the third arrow. I tried it anyways. Once I released the ball, the ball looked like it was gonna keep going straight and hit the seven pin. Little did I know that it would all of a sudden snap and hit the pocket flush. WOW thats all I could say to myself. This ball is AWESOME. This is by far my favorite ball of all time. I highly recommend this to any type of bowler. Very good first impression with hammer balls.

The greatest ball ever put out by hammer. I have always been a huge fan of hammer equipment and the black widow line. This ball is the most amazing in the line. I thought they out did the original with the pearl and i didnt think they could out do the pearl but this ball ran circles around the pearl absolutely amazing. i could get the ball to read up quick on the oil and down lane with they break down. Absolutely amazing. If you have hand this ball is a must. The black widow line is jus absolutely amazing.

I got this ball drilled to be extremely aggressive. i threw a 241 outta the box....considering my average is 198...its not too bad. I bought this ball to use on my high school bowling team at Regionals and possibly State...i encountered "sport shot" for my first time last year at regionals and i had no idea what to do...i was using a storm for goodness sake! (on sport shot...its not recommended) this ball is best for heavy oil conditions...it doesn't do so well on dry lanes...hooks to brooklynn if you don't haul ass to the left (right handed) personally...i love this ball...it'll be the first one outta the bag for a while

The best ball i have ever thrown in my life. my arsenal right now is a Gyro (spare ball to cheap to buy a good one.) cherry vibe for light oil, and morich seekndestroy for medium oil. this ball hits harder than all of them & covers 10 more boards than my seek and destroy. i love this ball i just got it yestrerday i'll stay posted on it n tell u guys how it does a month from now! i really dont know what else to say about it but if u buy it you will not have one regret about it if you are looking for something to hook a lot

Drilled for a right handed bowler, using the drilling # 1(Skid Flip for Medium/Heavy Oil patterns)High Track. Pin located above ring finger. 4 1/2 Pin to PAP. Hammer is the greatest bowling company out there. They know how to really make a predictable bowling ball. They have been so good to me and as long as they keep providing the bowling balls I'll keep buying them. I enjoy bowling with their equipment because they are able to harness all the energy in the ball until the break into the pocket and they carry like you wouldn't believe. Well I'm not sure what else to say. Other than Hammer is amazing and I look forward to see some new bowling balls sometime soon. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Ball rolled great out of the box except when you hit any dry spot ball checked and turned left. Polished the ball to 4000 Liquid finish and ball got threw those dry spots and got down the lane to a good break point out of the oil and then made a good hard move and crushed the pins. Took me a min to find a line but when I did the ball rolled great I shot 299 and left the 9 pin for 300 the second set I threw with it ball is great all around. If you have alot of revs I would definatly think about polishing the ball it will definatly roll better than it did.

JUST DRILLED THE BITE UP YESTERDAY JAN 10, THRU 2 PRACTICE BALLS WITH IT, SHOT SCORES OF 268,203,279 FOR 750 SERIES. NOT BAD FOR RIGHT OUT OF BOX. I GOT THIS BALL TO COMPLIMENT MY CHERRY VIBE AND BOY DOES IT. IT GIVES ME DECENT LENGTH WITH A STRONG BACKEND WITH GREAT CARRY. I WAS PLAYING 20 OUT TO 10-7 AT FIRST. THEN WHEN THE LANES BROKE DOWN I WENT INSIDE 20 TO 15 AND IT GOT DOWN THE LANE NICE. I DRILLED THIS BITE WITH THE #1 PATTERN DRILLING. I HAVE BEEN IN AND OUT OF HAMMERS OVER THE YEARS AND MUST SAY THEY HAVE SOME NICE STUFF OUT NOW. I WOULD DEFINETLY RECOMMEND THE BITE FOR A MEDIUM TO HEAVIER OIL PATTERN AND IF YOUR LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FOR A MEDIUM TO LIGHT OIL PATTERN, TRY THE CHERRY VIBE. ( I JUST SHOT 299,823 WITH THAT ON JAN 7)

This ball is great i had it drilled last night and tonight i used it and shot a 299 with it, put it to inside and left a 10 pin.. you need to get this ball out so that it can move if its to far inside it might not move or it might take off like crazy. you need to try to be failry accurate with this thing if your going to miss then dont pull it cuz you will leave a split i promise. All in all this is a good ball i Have the Widow Pearl and now this one so it is a good compliment to the Pearl.<scri

First words that came after first shot was DAMN. Threw my first shot and it came screaming back thought I might have cracked at least three pins. Got it drilled with strong layout pin below fingers evrything kicked out, I am a lefty with 17 mph and high revs and high track not your average lefty. First impression is ball seems versatile enough to play on a variety of shots, my only concern or downfall is that I might not get a chance to ever throw a full set with this ball being that this has quickly became the best and my new favorite ball in my arsenal.

This is a great addition to the Black Widow family. I currently have all three now. I have them all drilled the same but, they are all different in there own way. I have domination on any lane condition now. This ball loves oil. I over threw the ball out to the one board and it came screaming back to the pocket. My orignal widow would of fell into the channel or left a nasty split. But not the Bite. The only dislike is DRY lanes. But the average bowlers should know that is why they make the pearl. If you want a stronger ball. This is it!!!
