Drilled: pin over ring finger, 4 1/2 inches from PAP, 2 inches positive shift off CG and balance hole above midline; mass bias at 45 degrees and about 3 inches from PAP. The Big Deal was impressive from the first release off my hand. I saw exceptional pin carry, a smooth roll and a predictable and strong move at the break point. With the exception of the balance hole hitting my back flares, which didn't affect the roll, this ball was amazing. I bought it used and actually didn't have to change anything except the span, thumb pitch and drill the fingers out for inserts. I am going to move the balance hole off my track, but other wise there are no complaints. The real test will come with heavier and flat patterns. However, my house shot looked easier than I ever imagined. You can really open up the lane and the ball did not burn up.

Hammer's third release in the "Deal" line was anticipated to be a toned down version of the Real Deal with the ability to give length and an extreme hook. The ball, as a whole, is a good ball, and can seemingly allow even the weak-wristed bowler to play a semi-inside line. However, it tends to be unforgiving and very skid-flip. Of course this could be bowler error, but no matter what drilling or surface adjustments I threw at this ball, I was never completely able to find a consistent, even, and reliable reaction. Still am planning to try the ball with a "dead" drilling for sport shots and harder patterns, but overall this ball didn't match up to my style and didn't meet my expectations.

After 3 months i am finally able to say how great i love this ball. I got it for my birthday and this ball has raised my average in league by 15 pins. I shoot on in league now on average between 176-180. The backend is amazing....just when you think that ball won't flip over ....IT DOES. My Big Deal is not drilled really aggressive, as told by many bbr members and many ballreview.com members, but it does an amazing job. It has worked wonders for me and helped me pull my team from 10 to 3rd in the matter of 4 weeks.

I got this ball for fresh oil lanes. I went to my pro-shop and he drilled it very agressive. Unfortunately, whe I first got the ball I was bowling a second shift league so there was never a need for this ball to come out of the bag. Currently, of the two leagues I'm bowling, one is on a fresh shot and this ball has been incredible. If you get this ball off correctly it's almost guaranteed an X. Even on light hits it gets carry with an occasional 7 pin sitting out there (I hate the 7 pin!!!!!). Even when the carry-down gets bad this ball still can make its way back to the pocket (with a few slight adjustments of course) and post up a strike. Being the hammerhead that I am this is definitely the ball for me. A definite must-have if you're bowling medium to heavier conditions.

Our bowling alley had it's first ebonite/hammer demo day. But being a small time alley, they only had a handful of balls to select and test. Namely, Big Time Pearl, V2 Power, XXXCel, Razor Blade, Hawg and Big Rig Diesel. Of all the balls there, I prefer Big Rig above the rest... I got the ebonite representative to have a looksie at my arsenal.. tsk tsk..most of the balls were pitched wrongly. So he re-checked my span and pitch and asked me which ball I wanted to drill. I told him that I would like the Big Rig, but unfortunately...there was no big rig available. Then he recommended the High Rev..which he later told me would skid too far when compared to the Big Deal..so in the end the Big Deal was punched up. He saw me throw my Total Annihilation before and told me that he would like to lay out the Deal the same as the Annihilation. Which is the same as the #5 hammer layout. With a balance hole somewhere in the thumb region.. (be back with some more feedback soon)

This ball was drilled using a target weight drilling, I will be comparing it to my Big TIme. The ball hooked a ton, which is what i needed to replace my Ultimate that has over 800 games on it. THis is my second hammer ball, and this ball was as great as my other hammer ball, which was amazing untill it died, and this ball is keeping up so far. This ball gives me a smooth arcing hook with a decent back end into the pocket, which is just what i needed for the 42 foot sport shot I bowl on, and also the 39 high volume sport shot I bowl on on wednesdays. this ball on dry lanes, still doesn't roll out, but does hook a little too much. 42- foot, i was playing from 30 to 10 and was able to put a pretty good speed on it. Also play straight up 5 using the same speed worked miracles also.. 39- Played 8 to 5 with normal speed, and was also able to play 17 to 8 with a little more loft and about the same speed to get the same effect as before. over all, this ball has a little less hook t

Ball drilled with a 5 1/4 pin position, placing the pin directly above the bridge, cg at 3 3/8. The ball is a hooking monster on any shot not 48ft+, even there it will break a board. With this layout revs+coverstock create a midlane reaction the doesnt like dry heads, and the weight block takes over in the backend creating a sharp backend reaction. Best condition for the ball is a flooded house shot which is a common tourney shot in my neck of the woods Can be too much on normal house shots unless a deep inside angle is perfered

I feel in love with this ball immediately, especially when the first shot I throw with it is a strike. You gotta like that. I was looking for something with a heavier backend break than my Real Deal and this ball delivers everytime. I can play it up the second arrow or swing it out to the five board and it still comes right into the pocket. I'm very happy with its' versatility. It's a pretty forgiving ball when you make that occasional bad shot. This is the fifth hammer I've owned and I'm still impressed with their products. Way to go Hammer! Again!

I posted a review before saying I thought the Xcel from Ebonite was one of the best I have ever seen. Well here is another one by Hammer. I drilled it with the pin 4" from my axis and the MB in between my track an the strong position. I didnt expect the ball to hook as much as it did. Gets pretty good length for a particle ball and has a ton of back end reaction. Dont know exactly how long the reaction will last, I will post about that later. If you like a ton of hook and the ball still be very readable the this is the ball for you.

This ball is the answer to bowlers who want a ball with a little bit extra, and gives the hard hit at the pocket. It goes through the heads well, but charges the pocket hard at the break point. The pin carry is fantastic, and crushes the pins in the pit. This ball almost eliminates the "out of bounds area" in some lanes, and hooks from no where.l rolled the ball at the 3rd arrow, toward the gutter, and thought it wouldn't get back, but here it came, like a tank! What a ball, great job Hammer, you have a real winner.

The ball move very well on a variety of conditions from flooded to medium-dry. The ball is drilled to go longer and come back, which is what it does, with the benefits being that i can play down and in on heavier/longer patterns and play a deeper line on other less oiled patterns. For most house shots the ball allows a simple 20 out to 8. On the other side, its still a particle coverstock an can tend do grip the lane early if the heads have dried creating an over-reaction. Overall review, good multipurpose ball for people woh like to play anywhere from straight down five to fourty boards

i went to the hammer demo day and this ball was terrible it had no backend of anykind the best ball there was either the double xcel or the real deal. The real deal i could play up five or 25 its a very versitle ball but the big deal has no back end and the only way to strike is to angle the ball. Worst hammer ever the slingblade is still the best hammer. But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks But this one sucks

Have been throwing the Real Deal and the ball is awesome. Drilled the Big Deal exactly the same. Pin 4" from axis and MB 75 degrees. Placed axis hole over 5 3/4 and down 1" to bring to 1/2 positive side weight. To me the balls react almost identicle. This could be do to the fact that the Big Deal is approximately 1/4 lighter and I tend to have a little more speed with it. If the Big Deal is as good as the Real Deal, anyone that purchase is will not be dissappointed. I definately would have to say that Hammer is making some major noise in the bowling ball business again. This ball will definately get the Hammer Heads attention again.

Drilled this ball 5" pin 75 degree mass bias. When I drilled the ball about 1/2 the pin was inside the ring finger hole. The Mass Bias is just below the thumb slight ly to the right. I didn't get to bowl very much with the ball as we got busy in the shop right after I finished. drilling the ball so I am going to reserve judgement until after I get a couple of games on the ball. Iof the few shots I did throw with it, the ball hits very hard. It seams to read the mid lane very well and makes a crisp move to the pocket.

I laid out two of these balls for myself. The first ball I laid out with the Pin 3 1/2" and the Mass Bias 4 3/4" from my PAP (positive axis point). The second ball I laid out with the pin 5" and the Mass Bias 5 1/4" from my PAP (positive axis point). The first ball is laid out exactly like the Real Deal that I shot 845 with and the 2nd ball is laid out exactly like my Big Blue Pearl. I wanted to see what the balls were like in relation to those balls. The 1st Big Deal with the 3 1/2" pin from the pap, was a little smoother at the breakpoint and would start a couple of feet earlier on the lane, then the Big Deal with the 5" pin. Making a harder move to the pocket then my Real Deal. I was able to play a variety of shots on the lane and still have good entry angle to the pocket. The 2nd Big Deal with the pin 5 " from my PAP, would go longer down the lane and then make a sideways move to the pocket. This ball looks like someone kicks it at the breakpoint. I was able to play d
