Hammer Big Blue Pearl Bowling Ball

(19 reviews) Write a Review

Big Blue Pearl was designed to provide a cleaner look through the front part of the lane, yet still provide extraordinary continuation in the backend. Big Blue Pearl features the same core design as Big Blue, The Gas Mask Core, and the veneer is a Pearl version of Hammer's Power H.I.T. Particle veneer.

This ball is mad nuts. I got it drill for a slow ball speed and to arc in to the pocket. It does just that. I play the third arrow with it so I got plently of room. I push it too much, it come screamin back like someone kicked it. Insane. If I tug it, it hold perfectly. Never a doubt about it. The pin action with this ball is something I have never seen before. I clear out all kind of 10 pins. It truly is unblieveable. If you loved the Big Blue, you must get this one too.

WOW...what a ball...i got this from my bowling friend who actually stopped throwing this coz it was too light fo him. i'm thankful that it suits me perfectly. the pearlizeed coverstock makes it glides smoothly on the fronts. when it gets to the midlane it starts to rev like crazy and like a homing missile on steroids, it heads for the pocket. all this of course, is only possible if you have enuff oil on the lanes. otherwise, just put it away..it'll leave you with too many 8s and 5s... yes it really whips on the backend..i had to coat it with factory polish to make it go longer than usual...<

This actually was my first particle ball, I stepped up from a plastic ball to this particle pearl. I got this ball less than a year back, and have been having great results with the ball. The ball was drilled normally with the pin nex to my middle finger(righty). This ball is great, when it hits the pocket the pins just seem to explode on impact. I actually managed to break a pin with this ball, it's just so powerful! I must also say that this ball will skid if you overthrow it.. it would skid way too much and miss the breakpoint all together. You just have to keep it at a nice and consistent speed and this ball will do the rest. It is a great choice for medium to heavy oil conditions... Just move left when the lanes start to dry up. It's true..nothing hits like a HAMMER ! ! ! If you never tried it before, then you dun know what u are missing. Impact wise that is, but it seems that the coverstock is not as tuff as a real hammer.. It just keeps on scratching and there are many dents

OK,Gang! I tried this ball on two very different tournament shots, one was short (33-35 feet) and flat, the other was only slightly different from a league shot (slightly meaning less of a block). This ball is very rapidly becoming my index ball. This one is drilled for a smooth roll without a balance hole. All it has to do is smell backend and it comes rushing in like a freight train. Even on drier lines in the track areas, this ball does not seem to roll out and leave those !@#$%^& 10-pins. Keep it clean with a fresh coat of polish and it will still be HAMMER TIME!!!

First a little about me: Im a 170 average and bowl on two leagues...this is my 5th year bowling. I have always bowled down and in. How ball is drilled : Technical stuff : Big Yellow dot just above the fingers in between them. HMB - Just to the right of my thumb hole. This ball is VERY SMOOTH !!! The ball goes long and when it finds the back end it makes a nice easy turn to the pocket. It seems to me that the pins stay low and I get good pin reaction. I absolutely love this ball! I can use it the entire night and not make a single adjustment!!! I play down and in and go straight up 9 board. I have now bowled on league with this ball 4 times. My average on one league jumped 8 pins in 2 weeks and on the other league its gone up 3 pins. My average with this ball is 191 so far and my normal average is 170 ! Last night I had a 652 series - which is the second highest of my life.....170,256,226. The 256 game is my highest ever, and i had the front 8 strikes and I

If you miss your mark inside it will roll off the table, but if you continue to hit your mark or even come close to the outside of your mark it will hit the pockect hard everytime and not leave many stray pins. It took about three games of practicing to learn what it will do but when I figuered it out this ball did what I ask it to do. If the lanes are dry don't even pull it out of the bag. it needs that oil to perform. I believe hammer made a great ball once again.

I got this ball from a friend of mine who has been throwing Hammers for a few years, and was always raving to me about their performance. I had thrown the Big Blue Pearl 3-4 times in the past and was not that impressed at first. My friend decided to pick up a few Lane 1 balls and was nice enough to give me his Pearl (it only has about 20 games on it and he maintains all his balls immaculately). His span was a little too wide for me but I was able to throw it for a few games. It was drilled for length with the pin above and between the fingers and the CG kicked out to right about 1 1/2 inches. After experimenting the first two games I began to throw it from the 4th dot out over the 2nd arrow, it carried the oil with ease, revved up in the midlane and blew into the deck like a runaway truck. Throw after throw it continued to arc beautifully and just destroyed the pins. I threw a 223, 256, 235 series like it was nothing, carrying pins from both sides of the pocket with ease. This ball is

The first thing that I would like to clarify before speaking of how amazing this ball performs is my dislike of it. In the grand scheme of things this is a very minor dislike because the way this ball carries makes up for it. If this ball gets too the dry too quickly it will flip over and go through the beak, HOWEVER, you will often find yourself out of trouble because of the carry that this ball generates. This is due to the explosive backend movement. This ball wastes none of its energy in the heads and saves everything for the backend. Im a lefty have been playing around 30 and throwing aorund the 14th board. The best part about this ball is that I leave up substantially less 7 pins than I do now. On average I leave up 5 of them per night, first time out with this ball I didnt leave any up. For those of your considering hammer product consider this ball, and for those of you who aren't, start. NOTHING HITS LIKE A HAMMER!!!<s

I have had this ball for 5 days now. Bowled 6 games with it. Included in those 6 games are 268,279, and 300. 706 and 783 were the series totals. I have drilled many of the new Hammer balls, and this is the best one so far. This is the readable skid flip reaction that Hammer has been missing. I have the ball drilled 5 1/2" Pin to PAP, at 90*. HMB falls just left of thumb hole. I left the ball in box finish. This ball is truely AWESOME. I look forward to purchasing a couple more of these, and taking one to Nationals with me. Thanks Hammer!!!!

I was greatly suprised at the reaction of this ball. It really revs up and hits like a ton of bricks. In the same instance it is also easy to hit the pocket with as long as you are making quality shots. Shot 225, 237, 245 - 707 right out of the gates and only missed the hole 1 time. It seems to be a predictable snap as snappy balls go. Carry was above average. Left some hard 10's but all in all it performs as advertised and can be used on medium to oily conditions depending on the bowler. Great new addition to the line and it looks SUPER!!!

I just recently drilled this ball with the pin over top the fingers. This ball moves very hard twords the pins. I also drilled a v2 particle and drilled it max hook and it seems like the big blue pearl moves harder if not even more than the v2. this ball comes highly recomended to basically any one. ive seen many other types of throwing styles thrown with this ball and this ball does well with all types of styles. Hammer and Ebonite are making some really good balls and i recomend this one as well as the killer instinct sanded.

Overall the best ball out of the three (Big Blue Pearl, Havoc, Ultima Inferno) that I picked up this weekend. No ringing or flat tens, did leave two solid pocket seven-tens before a half board move left. When the ball didn't suck everything into the pit with it, it sent pins dancing. Mambo, Lamabada, Salsa you name it the pins did it. The ball is a must have. Best ball of the new Hammer line that I've thrown, I thought the Vicious was but that's all changed now. Nothing much that they can really improve on the ball. From what I've seen it compliaments the Big Blue perfectly.

We drilled this one for one of our lefty customers and he adored it. We drilled a 45 degree layout, pin to the left of his ring and a little under and the cg kicked out about 2 to 2 1/2 inches, and the MB in a strong position. He got incredible length and a smooth but flipply reaction in the back. Hit like a train, looks like a good addition to this Big Blue line. If you liked the first one, but it checked up early when the lanes burnt a little, than this is your answer, this ball will get through the front and make a nice controlled move in the back.

I drilled this ball with the pin on my grip line and the HMB in my strong position. I used this ball on a Medium-Heavier Oil sport shot. I stood on the 22nd board, target in the heads was 15-16, and the breakpoint was 4-5th board. This ball would glide through the head and midlane, while reving up. Then at the breakpoint, a strong flip back to the pocket. I was able to use the Big Blue Pearl throughout the night, as the lanes broke down, I would just move deeper into the head oil and give it more room. To all the people that have the Big Blue, you will love the same familiar roll pattern with more length, and backend movement. I am sure that Hammer has more in store for this series of balls. Any questions, please email me.
