Two part review. Part one starts with my original Jackhammer. Was drilled with pin at 4-1/2" just below ring finger, CG at 3-1/2, balance hole 1/2 in right of where mass bias point would be if the ball had one. The ball would give excellent length, with a rather large snap on the backend. It didn't matter what line I chose to play, be it tight over 15 or straight up 5. Theres a reason I title this review "Seek and Destroy the Pocket," because thats what this ball would do. Time and time again. It was great for when my biggies (at the time) were just too much. Great control and pin carry were the orders of the day. I threw my one and only 300 with the Jack. Great ball. Part two. After the unfortunate loss of the first Jackhammer, I was able to convince a friend of mine to sell me his. This one is drilled with pin at 4-1/4, CG at 4-1/2. Once again, I get good length, but I get quite a bit more back end with this drill. Almost rivals my Matrix Dynasty for back end motion. Still has the

After throwing my 14 lbs Contact Zone 2.0 for two years, I've been contemplating on getting a heavier ball. Something that'll give a little 'oohmph' in my game. The choices were endless. The JackHammer was recommended to me by a close friend (and boy, am I glad he did). Had it drilled with the pin just beside my ring finger to give it more length and snap action. Since we just finished out Monday game, I decided to practice a few more games, this time using the JackHammer. After throwing it several times, I noticed that you dont need to apply too much power for the ball to work. At 18-21mph, throwing it at the 2nd arrow standing on the 22nd board, it'll work on its own. I threw it straight, even tried cranking it but one thing always happen once it hits the head pin, it smashes the pins to oblivion. Definitely my kind of ball. Nice work Faball. Too bad it's already discontinued. Try to check if there are anymore of them out there. Highly recommended.

I purchased this ball for medium dry to dry lanes. I got it drilled for medium length and maximum backend. At first I threw it just the way I like to do with my Ebonite Pantera. This didn't work at all. The ball hasn't got enough hook to carry. I always left some 10 and 9 pins. Being a right-hand player I moved 6 boards to the left , threw it over the second arrow with medium revs at an angle off 90° at about 16.5 mph (my JackHammer is a 15lbs). From that moment on I began to score ! I shot the following scores : 174-172-166-168 . Please take notice that these 4 games are the first 4 I shot with this ball. So with some training I hope to average at about 180 with this ball. Update : like other reviewers noted , it's true that you have to have patience with this ball. You have to throw the ball at rather slow speeds to have the best result , not easy when you used to throw at about 19mph like me. I still have to concentrate keeping from throwing the ball too fast. Still with a lot

I got a 16 pound jackhammer with a 2 inch pin and 2 ounces of top weight. The pin was near my ring finger and the cg was kicked a couple of inches to the right. A weight hole was required to make the side weight legal. I liked this ball at first because of the control it gave me. It cleared the heads very well and made a mild arc to the pocket. It didn't overreact on the dry backend and outside part of the lane, and it wasn't to sensitive to carrydown. The problem was carry. With my normal release I carried like I was throwing a white dot. If I upped my revs it carried very well but that style isn't comfotable for me. I gave it to an older guy I bowl with because his ball speed is only about 13 to 14 mph. It carries much better for him. A good ball for crankers or slow speed players, but not for a high speed tweener like myself. LOUIE
