Oh .... My .... Gawd !!!! I love this ball. I got this ball from a guy in my thursday night league that swore he did not like the ball; not enough carry - or something like that. He is an "up-the-boards" type of player and didn't like what the ball was giving him. I stand on the 15th board and throw out to the 25th board (15th left) bending the lanes .... we are both LEFTY's (if you didn't know). A few months ago I was able to attend the EBONITE Trial Days at Capital Plaza AMF and that is where I got a good look at some of the things Ebonite had to offer. The Vortex line is really a nice arsenal. If it suits your style; your game. I am actually now looking for a second V2 Strong to set up a little different so I can use it in certain other houses.

Goes down good but wears out to quick wont be getting a lot of these. In dry lanes its hard to get down the lanes its you dont adjust. The track also formed pretty fast for a ebonite bowling ball. The other V2 bowling ballls track does not form as fast and is easier to use. I only gave it a seven becuase it works great in oil and has a lot of hook but in dry lanes its hooks to much and snaps on you. I wont suggest this ball for beginners the track comes to fast and wears out and GET DENTS TO QUICK

This ball is made for heavier oils but tends to slide and die on the backends in oil. Lighter patterns cause the ball to hook early and head straight through the headpin. It leaves a lot of four pins due to this. If you get this ball, consider polishing it so that it will be able to clear the heads and finish on the backend. The ball will flare more than any ball you have ever thrown. Tends to rev slowly. Keep the ball cleaned at all times. As a particle ball, this thing holds more oil than any I've ever thrown.

Overall the ball isnt too bad. It was my first ebonite, and it didnt impress me much. It didnt carry very well and hit pretty weak. It is very high maitnenace and eats oil like a machine! would sit and just bleed. Shot some decent stuff with it, but after about a month it started to die. now, its more of a medium oil ball. Overall i think there are better heavy oil balls out there for the price. Id spend a little more and buy and Ultimate Inferno or a Fear Factor. I hope the other E balls are better than this. ITs not nearly versatile enough and doesnt work to my liking.

One of the best Ebonite balls out there. Ebonite rules once again. If you are a first time bowler, you should check out the V2 Strong. The low R.G.s are really excellent for this vortex ball. It is the signature low R.G.s about the Vortex line that makes these balls excellent and one-of-a-kind balls. No other balls compare to the new Ebonite line out there. They are simply the best thing that happened to Ebonite. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules. Ebonite rules.

Since I don't throw the ball very hard this ball works well for me. A friend of mine has the V2 and he throws with more power than I do, and his ball barely hooks at all. I recommend this ball to someone with a slow ball speed, and a good amount of revolutions. This ball sometimes has trouble carrying the 10 pin, but you probably won't get robbed on a perfect shot. The V2 does not work on heavy oil because of its earlier hook, so I recommend a ball with more back end if you bowl at a house with heavy oil.

drilled this one 3.3/8 stacked with 0 static... I'm sure a different lay-out would have produced a different result, but for me, this ball was a little disapointing... didn't hook as much as I thought it would, but it is a large partical load, I tried different tilts, speeds, angles... but consistantly left 4's, 7's, 10's. Also didn't climb out of the oil as well as some other oil balls. I have liked the v2's, but as far as I'm concerned, the 'dry' and the 'strong' are not as effevtive as I thought they would be, but then again for someone else with different set-ups, may work well.

wouldnt buy another one.Ball carries well and u wont get ripped when u bury a shot, i found best results on medium length oil paterns. spins a lot but doesnt lie to tun over until its too late, no it doesnt drive that well. if u have a lot of speed on your ball this isnt for you. if ur a slow roller this will be great. if this is the right ball for you then it owns but if its not perfect for ya dont bother with it. man, 100 words is a lot to say about something that you dont like very much<scrip

Ok, so I was looking for a heavy oil ball, and I found one, though I havn't exactly been able to use it to often! From the little use i have had so, this seems like a very strong ball! (fitting, given the name...) I drilled mine with a 3.5 inch pin and a 75 degree MB - as I said i wanted it to HOOK! The ball didn't roll up to quickly, which would usually be desired in a heavy oil bal, sa as to give it a chance to grip earlier, however with the very strong and angular back end, it makes up for the lack of traction in the early lane. I tried the ball polished on slightly dryer lanes and while it was usable, many other balls out-performed it. My final verdict is that this is an exellent heavy oil ball, however, personal preferance may take you towards the V2 Particle, which I fould to roll up much better, and over the whole lane out hooked the Strong by some way on VERY heavy oil. I PUT A TON OF REVOLUTIONS AND SPEED ON MY SHOT. I DRILLED MY V2 STRONG WITH THE PIN UNDER MY RING FINGER AND THE CG KICKED OUT 1/2 INCH,WITH A WEIGHT HOLE ON MY VAL 2-1/2 INCHES DOWN IN THE THUMB POSITIVE SECTION TO GIVE ME 1/2 FINGER 1/2 SIDE.THE BALL ROLLS GREAT AND MAKES A VERY SHARP TURN TO THE POCKET.WHEN IT HITS NOTHING IS LEFT.THIS BALL HITS SO HARD I'M SUPPRISED I HAVE NOT BROKEN A FEW PINS!! I THINK IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HEAVY OIL BALL YOU NEED TO BUY A V2 STRONG!!!!

Ok. So far I have shot a total of like 15-20 games with this ball. I have shot everything from 266-133 but the 133 was on dry lanes. It has left me a few ten pins but those shots weren't burried they were light. When I shot my 700 series I think I left a total of 4 ten pins. It has not left me one single pin left standing yet when it burrys (sounds like a car crash by the way). Plus just the overall look of the ball is sweet (for all you out there who care about what the ball looks like). I use this ball on the oily lanes and believe it or not my freak on dry lanes. Hopefully this ball won't die like the freak did after about 50-70 games or so.

This ball is another great ball in the V2 series and just in the ebonite series in general. The margin of error for this ball is incredible. It has a strong arc an beautiful finish. It goes through the midlanes strong but still has enough energy to go through the backends with authority. Good ball to have out of the bag although for most right handers they might not be able to use it for 3 games due to the amount of right handers using the same line or crossing over your line. Lefties like me will be able to use it for the whole set. This is a very impressive ebonite ball and hopefully all the other new ebonite ones are as well

Very strong ball all around. The only big problem is that it rolls out on the drier conditions. But thats because its particle. The whole V2 series is very strong. But this has to be my favorite out of the V2 series. The first V2 was strong but lacks the needs for heavy oil. This V2 makes up for that. The V2 pearl was strong for medium but thats it. It was too strong for dry but not strong enough for oil. This ball is the best ball out of the V2 series. The V2 dry is good but lacks certain things for me. I like this ball VERY much. Its hitting power is so strong. I couldnt find an oil ball with the hitting power of the drier lane balls i had. Now i have found that hitting power for oil so i can play my game without changing much.

I would tell anybody to buy this ball it awesome the only ball that compares to it is the Ebonite TPC Warrior. The v2 strong does not do anything untill you work a track into it once you do the ball hooks early and hits very hard. I love this ball im gonna buy two more in the next 3 months. If you drill this ball up make sure you put the CG in the middle of your grip and put the pin above the fingers, thats what i did and i love this ball so much. the only person i would not recomend this ball to is someone who throws a damn plastic ball cause this ball HOOKS!!!.
