I used this ball to teach three different young men to bowl. Had it filled and drilled twice, once for a lefty, with no problems. The ball was easy to maintain and took a shine very nicely when conditions called for it. Simply throw the ball over the mark and follow through, the ball will react consistently. The lack of an internal weight block forces the new bowler to snap up their fingers in order to get enough rotation to hook the ball. As the revs come only when using proper form, the ball is a great teaching tool. Again, nothing fancy but a solid all around ball.

I like balls that dont hook a lot ,because you need to have them to force your game to a stronger level ,several pros have shared with me that practicing on oil with a mild ball will increase your power and roll by making you do it with your hand instead of a ball .When you go back to your strong stuff you carry like crazy ,, Good advice . Tornado Is a typical thin shell ball with a large amout of Limestone in the core, which sucks up humidity like a sponge. the Cracking happens when the thin shell cannot hold the core in once it starts to expand a drying agent in your bowling bag will help a lot.

Second Ebonite ball to crack IN MY HOUSE. Both balls cracked the entire circumference of the ball. The EBONITE Apex Obsession only cracked the entire circumference of the ball. $170 down the drain. The EBONITE Tornado Warning not only cracked the entire circumference of the ball, but also cracked from the thumbhole through the CG and and up to the pin. $60 down the drain. So, if you have dollars to spend like toilet paper, buy EBONITE. So far just these 2 EBONITE balls have cost me more than $200 total and BOTH of them CRACKED! All the way around. With less than 50 games apiece. Sitting IN MY HOUSE. EBONITE: "Please give them a decent funeral and best of luck in the future." EBONITE: "the warranty is well past one year from the date of purchase...we can't replace them". Bottom line: I spent over $200 bucks for EBONITE so-called bowling balls and I ain't got nothing but a couple of cracked doorstops and these words to show for it! Both EB
