The One

Overall I think the one is a pretty good ball. It hits very very well early and carries everything, but as it begins to get worn, it loses alot of its magic. It's still a great ball for tweeners and such. I gave both of my ones away to friends who averaged about 140-150 and their averages jumped almost 20 pins. One of them even shot a 299 with it. All in all, the one is probably one of the better balls out there, but long term, if you average over 200, this ball will die young and no longer carry the way it did when you first fell in love with it.

I have owned this ball for 2 years now and never had a problem with it, It is absoluty amazing. I have gotten many of my high games with it and will never part from it. The reason being I shot my first 300 with this ball tonite (2/2/08). The three hundred came to me as a suprise because the day before i was soo sick i couldnt get out of bed. This ball is absoluty amazing and i recommend it to all bowlers looking for a ball that is consistent makes a strong move to the pocket and destroys the rack.

Good ball . I would recommend to Anyone looking for a good medium-heavy to medium-light long oil. I scored well with this ball. Can't quite seem to figure the ball out after the first game.After my first game the ball is as if it doesn't want to hook afterwards.I'm contiously trying to figure out how to hit the pocket.When I release the ball, Im standing on the center dot and releasing it at the fifteen board.Though I have only had the ball since Christmas, and in the process have tried a little of everyone elses "right" way to throw the ball.Overall I guess it will take time and practice,other than that I believe I have found the ball for me.

First Ebonite ball I have boughten in years. This ball is Awesome! I keep it well maintained so the reaction is the same night after night. And night after night it is just devastating when it hits the pins. Ball that will always be in my bag. Makes me want more Ebonite equipment. If you take care of it, it will take care of you! Has multiple reactions when the surface is played with. I have been successful with 2000 and 4000 Abralon. The only time I would polish this ball is if I knew the shot was dry or the heads were shot. Otherwise, leave it as it is!

Tonite (May 5th) i threw this ball after resurfacing it and man was it crazy. it was moving like it just came out of the box. i shot a 234 the first game. then i shot a 268 starting with a 9 spare then 8 strikes in a row. then the last game i left a 4 pin the first ball and that when things started to go my way. i shot the next 11 to shoot a 290 for a 792 series. i am amazed at how much this bal hooks even after having it resurfaced. its unbelievable that this ball breaks like it did out of the box. i was amazed. and because of that i took high game in my saturday night mix league with the 290 (i was in second with a 287 before) i will never get rid of this ball. and remember Bowl to Win! I BOUGHT THIS BALL ABOUT 3 MONTHS AFTER IT WAS REALEASED I WAS VERY WEARY OF THROWING IT BECAUSE FO THE HIGHER ABSORBTION RATE THEN I THOGUHT ABOUT WHAT BALL TODAY DOESNT HAVE A HIGH ABSORB RATE. I GOT IT WITH A 4.5 INCH PIN AND HAD THE PIN 2 INCHES ABOVE MY RING AND KICKED OUT ANOTHER CLOSE TO MY PAP WHICH IN RETURN I GOT A GOOD WET DRY BALL. ALL IN ALL I'M VERY IMPRESSED AS OF LATE WITH THE BIG ONE AND THE NEW NV SERIES. This ball is the wierdest ball i have ever rolled, when it started to lose its overall hook i took scotch bright pads to it and it lost more overall hook. But when i had a big tourny coming around i figured this ball was fried so i would use it as my dry lane ball. I had the guys at my pro shop shine it up and it regained all of its hook potential. It was really wierd. luckily the tourny had a really wet condition. i dont know how that worked out but i have been happy with it for another 30 games.

This ball really does soak up oil well. It takes skill and precision to throw it right, but is still very forgiving. I can miss a little right and end up with a strike. If you get this ball, and it doesn't give you the reaction you like, keep trying. Once you figure out how to throw a ball with the perfect speed and revs, you end up with an amazing ball that smashes pins and feels easier to throw than any other ball out there. Also, easy to use on drier lanes. It has gone from the bastard child in my bag, to my favorite ball to use on almost any condition.

This is a great overall ball. it always comes back and leaving any pins. if i cant find a good shot with any of my balls, i always grab my one and get some high scores. my first 5 games were 200s but after that i started throwing the ball weird but my one has taught me how to make my roll a lot cleaner and now my ball is making my average go higher and higher with every passing week. if you are looking for a ball that works for all lane conditions then this is the ball for you. THE ONE is AWSOME

Last night was knockdown for my league and usually on knockdown the house puts a little extra oil out as a challenge. well i brought my brunswick inferno expecting a heavy oil pattern and what did i get? a perfect pattern for me to throw The One on. i threw the ball up the 5 board at about 18 mph and man did that thing make a razor sharp turn to the pocket and shredded the rack. i played the 5 board all night without a problem considering i only had one other person playing my line and the rest of the bowlers were lefties. i shot my career high series of 783. 246 279 258 were the three games. my lowest pin count of the night was 9 and that only happened about 7 times all night. i left five 9 pins two 10 pins. the rest were high flush 10 in the pit. my average is now at 208 because of this ball, This ball is a MUST HAVE NO EXCUSES!!

If you know what fits your style tell the pro shop what you want the ball to do and have it drilled and have them adjust it to your benefit then pay them you get better results that way. Any pro shop owner worth his or her weight in this line of work will work with you to get you what you need they like repeat buyers and word of mouth customers.Just got in from league friend had this ball changed inserts to fit my fat fingers 5.00 bucks at the pro shop took ball out in league and jumped my average 59 pins a game and to think I don't even like ebonite.

When i first got this ball it worked great it had a strong backend and hooked a lot for me.. which isnt much cause im a low rev stroker kinda guy. up 10 for dry to medium lanes but for me heres the problem when they get oily i have to go to 6 or 7 and move way right... sooo Kind of a harder shot to use if theyre wet, plus after using it for a while its lost some of its hook and hitting power. At this point there are better balls out there one the market you could buy so i wouldnt really recommend it cause it wont last terribly long.

I don't believe there is bad equipment, however I did at one point. Cores, coverstocks, dynamics, pin placement, CG, PAP, MB, stacked, leveraged, pin up, pinout, pinunder, 4x4,5x5, track, flare, Low RG, High RG, top weight, etc..... I have discovered that these are all the things that determine the reaction of your equipment. I learned a little about these things and I am building an arsenal with what I have learned. If you are unhappy with this ball, you may need to do a little homework because this is a really great ball. You have to know your own game and what reaction you want out of YOUR equipment. If you don't know, who does. Do your homework, get a good proshop guy to help, and get the ONE, you'll be glad you did.

I am a 175 average bowler. I was a 169 average bowler before getting this ball. I have never raised my average more than this before in one year and I thank this ball for doing so. I had it drilled a little agressive, but not the most it can be. It works really well for me down and in on the second arrow. I like the hitting power!! After a year of league use I had it polished to get it closer to out of the box condition. Its taken me a little to get it broke back in and doenst hook as much as it did. But I have used it enough now where it is starting to hook like I wanted. Dont give up on this ball. Make sure you drill it right for what you want though.

Out of the box the ball was great. I couldn't ask for a better ball. It carried even on light hits. I thought i had found a ball and company to stick with for awhile meaning for at least a year and then purchase a new ball from the same company expecting the same reaction. But unfortunately I was wrong in thinking that. The One disappointed me in the way the coverstock died withing three months. The ball is now one of the most exspensive balls I have that never leaves the locker. I even had the Hook Again process done to the ball and had some amazing results but again the ball died. I believe strongly in the Hook Again process because it will bring the ball back to life for awhile but don't expect the hook to stay.

I had literly no hook with this ball so I got it redrilled 3 times and scotchbrite'd it.... nothign worked so I gave it to my buddy you thows a massive crank and he used it. I've got to say it had the most revs I have ever seen on a straifght ball. this ball hooks less then a rubber ball from the 70's. eventually I used 2 fingers to just crank it. it had alot of revs and I threw it REALLY slow. it slowly turned to the left and hit right in the pocket and hit so weak it was like a wet sponge of a badg of marshmellows.... dont buy it its crap bowl to lose dont buy it its crap bowl to lose dont buy it its crap bowl to lose dont buy it its crap bowl to lose dont buy it its crap bowl to lose dont buy it its crap bowl to lose<scr

just recently i wasa sub for my brothers team. This ball was the first ball out of my bag. i shot fairly well the first 2 games. i shot 205 and 208. The third game i bowled like crap due to the lanes being torched by that time. then 2 days later for my league i completely slaughtered my 191 average. the house i shot at has a decent amount of oil on the lanes and it is easier to find a solid line that is reliable. well i came out of the gate shooting a 211. that wasnt too bad for my first game only 10 over average. the second game i was locked and loaded. threw this ball up the five board and it kept slaugfhtering the pins. i threw the first 10 strikes of the second game before tugging my 11th ball. my final was a 287. i was mad due to the fact that i have yet to bowl a 300 and that is the seventh time since spetember i had the chance and i failed to convert. but i still have my entire life. i am only 15 years old. basically this ball is the best and it will be the first ball out of my

i shouldn't of waited so long to get one of these. i have it drilled w/the pin above the bridge and the mb kicked out about three inches.this ball is very clean through the heads. it also has a low rg. for a little extra roll. this ball creates a large area on the average house shot because it rolls consistently off the dry and still has hitting power if you tug it in the middle. can handle heavy oil with a little surface prep but it will work much better polished. this ball is vey angular also. if u are rev challenged or have slow ball speed i suggest this ball to you because of its good length, but strong consistent back end. this ball is also very versatile staying consistent and strong no matter what part of the lane you are playing. great ball if coverstock holds up.

last night (11/4/06) i threw my one on bone dry lanes. my ball is drilled for a strong movement in the backend, but i played up the 5 board throwing the ball at an average of 18.50 mph. let me tell u did this ball just kill the pins. almost every throw i had ten in the pit. i shot pretty good my first 2 games with a 197 and a 193. my last game i came out storming with the first 7. then i pulled my 8th shot and left the 3 6 9 10. easy spare. then i went back to what i started, and finished with a 276. that was my second game over 270 in 2 weeks. since buying this ball my average jumped from a 168 to a 187 in just 4 months!!

ok i just got my one drilled the second thursday in August. it was great right out of the box for the first game. then it just started acting like it died. 2 games later it was hookin more than it was out of the box. everytime i threw it it made an attempt to come back even if it hit oil. just recently on October 21st i was bowling on a saturday night mix league and during practice i only had thrown 2 strikes, but i came out in the first game storming. i opened with the front 4 then i threw a beautiful pocket shot and left a 4 pin. i made the spare then finished with the final 7. i shot 279 and the ball never jumped the head pin once.before i got my one i averaged 172 now my average is up to 183. Great job on the One line Ebonite!

I drilled another One. This is my 3rd. I laid this one out with the pin 4 1/8 from my PAP and the Mass Bias was 4 1/2. The Mass Bias was on my VAL which caused me to have to put a weight hole in the ball. With this layout, this ball was clean through the front part of the lanes and picked up the strong mid-lane roll. By sanding this ball with 1000 grit Abralon pad, the ball made a lot smoother transition to the pocket, and was less sensitive to carry down. I have drilled and thrown 3 of these balls now, and I think that it is a very versitile ball for fitting bowlers different style and lane conditions, with the right layout and surface, this ball would be good in just about anyones hands.

I have been struggling with the Infinite One... It does'nt do anything for me. I even had it polished and that helped a little. I spoke to the technical guy at Ebonite. He explained the difference in the One line. He suggested i try the One. What a difference. Simply amazing. I opens up the lane for me. I can belly it out, I can play the house shot, and I can move around. Makes it a little more enjoyable. 258, 237, 290, 234 among the first 12 games. Its really awesome. The Infinite One is not for me. This ball snaps and drives hard to the pocket. Today 10/29/2006 first time I used the One in league play....205,267 (9 in a row and 10 pin rap) 183. The ball is crazy ....its enormous.<scrip

Good ball overall buy one and you will so why it is the one. The One is an incredible medium-heavy oil ball that hits and carries with a predictable reaction. I had mine drilled with the pin and CG moved to the right of the holes. When I bought it, I had a 165 average, but within a dozen games I had bowled a 203 and averaged about 170. That went back down to 140, but I still really liked it. Like any stong ball, it sometimes would leave 9-pins. A problem I found was that the cover was high-maintenence. It absorbed oil so quickly that it would burn out in a few weeks, and need cleaning. I helped it by leaving the ball in the sun for 15 or 20 minutes, then wiping the oil off, then turning it. After each time I did this, it would return to killing the pins. This is a ball that can do great things in the hands of a practiced bowler, but for someone learning to bowl, like I was, the cover most likely will be dead before you can get it to do great things.
