this ball's best quality is how tunable it was. oob finish was grabbing to early for me and overeacting where i wanted to play the lanes. the ball is very angular and allows deep inside lines if there is oil and you like to throw slow. i had mine polished up and it really helped tame the ball down and it now compliments my arsenal. with the polish on a fresh shot i could play down the second arrow with a slight belly and in the backend it would just snap towards the pocket. this ball will definately fit in your arsenal somewhere with some tuning to the coverstock if yoou like a reaction that goes to the backend with very minimal movement and makes a quick and simple move to the pocket.

Not one of the big hook monsters from Ebonite, but this ball should not be underestimated. I think that if you like playing more of a direct line and have more speed than revs, this is a good ball worth having. MIne is 5 x 5.5 with MB just below the thumb hole and also polished. The higher RG helps gets it down the lane and it does have a sharp late turn into the pocket. I tried playing it inside around the 18-20 board but didn't get as much reaction and carry as I did playing it straigher around the 10-15 board. Found it pretty useful on reverse block patterns and I think the coverstock helps it some. To me, this is a true medium oil ball unless you keep it sanded at 4000 or even go to 2000 to grab more oil and get it to go earlier. Awesome ball!

Pin above and in between fingers CG is 1 1/2 inches down, and 1/2 and inch right of ring finger Indicator Pin (flag) 1/4 inch above and 2 1/2 inches right of thumbhole Weight hole is 4 inches right of CG looking vertically Everyone was saying this ball has a mean angle at the break point, so thats what I wanted it to do, because that is the shot that is missing from my arsenal (skid/snap). Local pro layed out the ball this way, I agreed as that layout was used on other balls and thought it would give me the desired look I wanted. Somewhat dissapointed with it. first few shots were bad, but started releasing it different and it started to crush the pins, but I could not release it the same way as all my other balls, maybe its just the layout, or maybe its me, but the ball does not exactly do what I expected it to do. If I had some more money I would buy another one and drill it different. But if I could do that id just get another NV. So instead Ill be myself and keep it and hope

This ball is one of the best balls out there for all kinds of bowlers for any medium conditions. The ball was drilled with the pin 3/8" above the bridge, CG kicked out about 5/8" at the middle of my span and the mass bias about 1 1/2" diagonally (down and right) from the thumbhole. The result was one of the smoothest ball reactions on medium oil out there. This is the first ball i turn to when the heads begin to break down then after it breaks down further i go to something longer, like the hammer toxic. Being the kind of ball it is, i'm real surprised i'm the only one in my home center who uses it and one of only a few in tournaments.<sc

Bowler Specs: Left-handed 16-17 mph Average Revs (300 RPM guesstimate) PAP - 4 5/8 over, 3/8 up Layout: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v399/fins4ever88/SR300/SR300Span.jpg P = pin, * = CG, B = MB Characteristics: Head oil is a must with this ball. This baby is all backend, especially when polished. I have never seen more backend than the SR300. The SR300 is a medium oil ball, though it can handle a little bit more, and a little bit less. When polished, the SR300 will race off the dry. This reaction was a bit uncontrollable for me (but provides for a LOT of fun watching. I got a lot of people saying "WOW, How did that get back!?). I hit the ball with Track's Clean 'N Sheen on a 1000 scotchbrite, and this ball has smoothed out quite a bit, but is still strong in the backend. Reaction reminds me of my old Storm X-Factor Vertigo. Light Oil - 0/10 No go. This ball will not get down the lane, no way no how. Never threw it on a light oil pattern yet, but I know I'll

Rush out and buy this ball now. It will definitely improve your game. This ball can make you look like a stud on the lanes. Ebonite has really found a winner with this ball, it is just an awesome piece of equipment. I can play down and in or swing it to the outside. I use it in 3 different leagues, 1 of which is a PBA experience league. This is without a doubt the best ball I have ever owned. If you are looking for a ball that will take your game to the next level this is the one.

All I can say is awesome. I bought this ball to be a replacement for my V2 sanded. I do less with my hand and wrist with this ball than any other ball I have ever had. I carry around a 185 average but in the past 4 weeks I have had this ball I am averaging 211. It doesn't matter where I go. I can play down and in or inside out and the ball blows the pins off the lanes. Over the past 4 weeks I have bowled in 5 different houses all with different shots and lane conditions and my average is way up. As long as there is some oil this ball will carry lots of pins. I can't play it on dry lanes but thats not what it was intended for so no problem there. I am using a factory finish and keeping my hand straight for down and in and 45 degrees for inside out. Go Ebonite.

I threw this ball at Ebonite's Demo Days and when I threw it, it looked like a smooth, weak arc at first, but all of a sudden it snapped left on me and crushed the rack. It's sharper, later and harder than any ball I've ever seen, including the Black Widow. Even on the scortched lanes, it got down to forty feet or so before flipping and then absolutely demolished the pins. My only regret is that I did not get an opportunity to roll a few on fresh oil, so I can't tell you much more. I'm looking for an opportunity for another demo days in which I'll try the first squad before I buy one, but I believe that espeically in oil it will perform admirably.

ok i have this at 4000dull (box) pin up and out weight hole about 2" from pin and 1" from CG the pin is about 1" from my ring finger so far this ball is amzing i shot 268 out of box. it does exactly what its supposed to do. it get down the lane with ease with a slight midlane move and once it hits 45ft make a huge move to the pocket. i think ive left more 8pins than seven pins (lefty). if this ball hits the pocket all ten are goin down. once i got this ball the pins dont hav a chance. it like the bears defense, the opposer has no chance. on my normal house shot i usually play a line sliding at 25 and shoot the ball 18-8board at the breakpoint the only bad thing i have to report is that it may b too strong for me, i may hav to adjust the surface a little.........nah did i mention that this ball hits harder than the planes going into the towers on september 11th

I cannot say enough about this ball. Being a Storm fan for a long time it took me a while to come to grips that I might need this ball. I had a very sour taste in my mouth since I bought The One and that was a dud. But I got it and I am gald that I did. The ball is drilled with the middle finger under the pin and the CG in a mildly strong position and my thumb just to the left of the bomb. There is a little finger weight and no thumb weight and just under a half side weight. Right out f the box I was able to conqure a condition that was a little drier that I have been used to and the ball worked wonderfully not like some of the other ebonite balls that I have had before where you get a dry shot and it burns up before the arrows and is a dead stick the rest of the lane. If there is one thing that I would complain about is the snappyness of the backend at time can be a little much but other than that it is a great ball. I will have to try it out on a sport shot to see how it handels mor

I had this drilled just like my "The One", which is their #1 recommended layout. I was expecting it to behave similar to The One but with a little stronger backend. Wow I was mistaken, this has a very stong backend where it is almost to sharp. It is very controllable in the heads and midlane. My best target with this layout was to hit the 12-13 board in the targets and to have it break at 10-9 at 45 feet. I never used a ball that reacted like this one, I guess this could be considered a skid/big turn ball. I still need to practice with it more to break it in, but for now it will only be a practice ball until I get a better feel for it. If it stays this strong I may need to get a weaker layout.
