Well, I never bought one of these way back in the late 90's when I didn't need a team of Sherpas to track one down now here in 2004. Took me a good 2 months of scouring online to get one. Cost me 40 bucks, plus 35 to get plugged and re-drilled. The ball is plastic, with a dynamic core that is supposed to resembe a Wolf's head, but I still can't see the resemblance. The ball is drilled for an aggressive layout, with a balance hole. I was told that, even on bone dry lanes, that this ball won't move more than a few boards. LIE!!!!! I threw it on broken down lanes, after leagues. There was a good amount of oil in the middle, patchy to 5, and dry outside. I tossed it straight up around the 7 board, and the ball went high in the pocket, but still carried. there WAS track flare on the ball when it came up, albeit spotty. Mind you, I do have a good amount of rev's and don't ' old man ' the ball down the lane. Having never thrown a plastic ball, it goes pretty straight at spares. I'

I shot my first 300 with this ball.it hits great. on a fresh house shot i could play the twig and the ball would work great. when lanes started to dry up i was able to swing the clear wolf and as long as i didnt hit up on the ball too hard i wouldnt have to worry about the corners.only time i had a problem with carry with this ball was when i was practice boowling on a fresh house shot and i tried to swing it 20 to 12. to my surpise the ball came back but i left a 5-7-10 split.which i almost made with a six pound ball. o well maybe next time. i think everyone should own a clear wolf.it hits a little bit better than my white dot.

I bowling overseas for (4) years while assign in the US Air Force. I orginally wanted the Clear Wolf strictly as an spare ball. Once I had it drill up I found the ball could do much more. Of course it was very controllable, it hit and carried extremly well. So I got an second one, drilled it up axis weight light oil conditions. To my surprise it worked so well it became my primary ball . Also the short oil pattern used overseas is very popular so I used this ball just like high end reaction ball. The will surprise you on how hard it hits. My advice: got one? keep it!! find one...get it!<
