Its a great entry-level ball. I like this ball. I started using it after using an unknown model, older Hammer ball which was black and had the Hammer logo in white on it that was drilled for someone with much bigger hands than me. I guess it works for me because its drilled for my hand - the first ball I have had custom drilled. This ball corrects my mistakes if I alter my speed or release point. Its not at all a high-end or even medium level ball, but my average has gone from 165 to 215 since I purchased this ball.

You will never catch any respectable bowler using this ball in any sort of competitive world, which should be expected from a ball bought at a large sporting retailer. I wouldn't recommend anything that you can buy at a major sporting goods store. Instead, support your local pro shop with a purchase, they will drill it and know the ball you are using. If you are looking for a "good" ball to use, spend a little dough and get yourself something with some muscle behind it. But you could always use this ball as a toy for your kids to mess around with and learn the game.
