I wasnt sure about this ball at first having never owned an ebonite before but i was very impressed with it even thought its not a top of the line ball. i had it drilled with the pin under my ring finger for length and back end and did i get! this ball rolls clean through the heads and and makes an incredible snap to the pins. the only thing i dont like this ball for is if the lanes have over under conditions and it hits a dry portion of the lane. this ball is now one of my favorite balls that i own and i own quite a few of them.

I love this ball. I bought it for my Saturday morning league. The house does NOT oil for my league. I was fishing around for a ball that I could actually use on the shot that they gave us. The lanes are always fried (Big time mens league on the lanes Friday night then open bowling on top of it.). I was fishing around for a ball that I could use in my leage, including an Overtime that I could not keep right of the 2 pin before I got this ball. I was down to a horrible 191 average before I got this ball, it took me 6 weeks to get my average up to a 197, thats with 72 games in right now. If anyone has to deal with a dry lane shot I suggest this ball.

I joined my first bowling league last fall and I was bowling with a 16 lb columbia white dot. It was pretty heavy for me, so the slow speed and high revs allowed it to hook even though the lanes are heavily oiled. I wanted a lighter ball with midrange hook and decided on a 14 lb Black Ice. This ball has a lot of hook potential if you throw at average speeds and get a fair amount of revs on it. I have it drilled like example 7 on ebonites website for drilling instructions. I love the consistency of this ball. If you keep the ball in the middle of the lanes it finds the pocket very nice, and if you put a little too much spin on it, it picks up brooklyn strikes really well. If it gets out into the dry parts of the lane it just sucks itself right back to the pocket. It also rolls well in synthetic, and combination lanes (haven't tried wood yet). Plus the price can't be beat. I rolled my first 200 game with it and my average has gone up significantly. Highly recommend this ball.

Lay out: 2 inch pin, g slightly swung out, pin above middle of both fingers. Wow, that all I have to say. WOW. I've wanted this ball for a while, and now I know why. It reacts hard off the dry, yet is still controllable when in the dry, and stays strong in oil. Very good if the shot just goes away. I find myself constantly playing 15 out to 5. Usually I don't get a good ball that reacts with my weaker realeases unless it's a stronger ball, with a strong layout. But this ball has a weaker layout, and still reacts beautifully with my weaker release. Over all this is a welcome addition to my aresenal, and will probably take over my Dirty Bomb Hybrid.

I have moved away from the Storm Products and rolled with Ebonite and Roto grip. This Ebonite ball has alot of potential, out of the box the ball really moves on the backends and finds the pocket everytime. The only problem I had occur was by time I got to my third game from bowling on synthetics this ball would leave alot of 7 and 10 pins standing. Just adjust you boards a little and the ball will react more. This ball is a must have if you are bowling in a high average mens league and want to boost your average up a little more

Great ball! Great price! Came HIGHLY recommended from my pro shop, where they carry everything. Pin is 2-3" and located at 1:00 (just above the ring finger). Rolls silky-smooth and hits like a ton of bricks. The price is right too. Not too many balls this good are for around $100.00. I literally put my Storm Ace away after the second game because the lanes were drying up, took this ball out, made no adjustments, and whooped evryone on my pair! Cashed for the night too! I couldn't recommend a better ball for when the lanes start to break down.

i got this ball since it was the new ball in the pro shop and i wanted something that could hook up a bit early but still have decent hit...this ball wow. it rolls out so early that sometimes it wont even move. you can see the ball flip and just sit and it hits like a pillow tryin to knock down a brick wall. i left so many 7 9's with this ball it was crazy. i do like that the ball did have lots of drillin patterns along with it, but the need for a weight hole in so many of them wasnt really that great to me. overall this ball seems to want to move but really isnt made for that. i gave it a higher rating than what i thought it deserved
