First I would like to say I have thrown well over 100 games with this ball and it has shown no signs of dying out as other reviewers have said. Being a cranker I need medium to heavy oil as even in medium oil I must play it coast to coast. Put this one away if youre a second shift bowler. Very predictable breakpoint , makes an incredibly strong move and recovers very well from misses outside. Overall one of the most consistent balls I have thrown. The ball does eat a lot of oil and therefore playing the same line more than a game gets very tough without increasing speed. Highly recommended for a heavy oil shot.

Decent ball for a shot with backend, but if the back ends tighten up due to carrydown, put it away. I don't think I'll be bringing this ball to any regionals, because I haven't found a pattern that it seems to like. But I've used it in league effectively where I know I have back end and can tighten up the shot without fear of catching back end oil that it would hit like a dud. If I see that, that ball's the first to go in the bag. Overall, I'd give it between a 7-8. The ball I drilled for length was much better than the arcing pattern setup I used.

I drilled this ball pin above my ring finger and put the CG directly under. I think that drilling was just made the ball go a bot to long for my liking and it didnt seem to do enough on the back end for me. I am now half thinking of re-drilling this ball and seeing will it match up any better to what i play on, I like this ball and think it carry's quite well, I just dont get enough back end reaction for my liking! Everyone else I have seen with this ball loved it, They all think it clears the heads great before making a violent turn on the back end, I am not the biggest fan of ebonite their products never really seemed to match up with my game too well, But I do like this ball on a select few pattens! www.talktenpin.co.uk

I had this ball just after christmas so its about 7/8 months old now and has completely died. I had this ball drilled with the pin just under my ring finger for maximun backend reaction and still with good lenght. When i first had the ball out the box it was in my opinion one of the bast medium oil balls on the market did exactly what u wanted it to do and still controllable as the lanes started to dry. I had some very good games a few hand fulls of 250s along with the odd 270s and 280s but this did not last as long as i would have expected. The longevity of this ball is very short, it was cleaned after every match and was not allowed to build up grime or oil soak into the cover stock, and still the reaction started to dye off after about 4 months or so, the ball would not read the lane as well and the backend was no where near as sharp as it origionally was. I decided that it may be down to the ball tracking up so as with what i do with the rest of my balls had it resurfaced. But

This ball does exactly what I want it to do. It is drilled for total hook. I throw it down about the 2nd arrow and it holds its line great right to the pocket. This ball is about 6 months old with numorous games on it, and it is a great complimant to my total nv, which is a total hook monster. It might not be my #1 ball, but it is definitely #2 out of my bag. I would definitely recommend this ball. Ebonite hit it big with this ball. Keep it up ebonite. and always remember "bowl to win"

This ball is a 10 rating! I drilled mine with the number 2 drilling pattern used for the "One Line" balls. These kind of balls work best if you know where your PPAP is. Had 9 games at State tournament, used it for 7, shot 1995 for 9 games. Plays good in oil. Never fails to make a move on a variety of conditions. It's important to set the ball up correctly. Don't put the pin above the fingers unless you are a major, cranking, revenating son of a gun. Because it will go to long, unless your PPAP is really high. It's one of the best balls out there right now.

When I first saw the videos on Ebonite's site for the Angular One, I just had to have one to compliment "The One". This ball does do what the videos say. About 3 weeks after picking up the ball, I shot my highest series ever. And about the 5th week of owning the ball, this ball did exactly what most new balls do, it died. I've consistently cleaned the ball but to no avail. Most of the time, I have used this ball under fresh THS conditions. My first impression of the ball is just awesome, it had such a nice movement in the mid-lane and strong, aggressive, continuous backend. Nowadays I see a lot of over/under with it.

3/25/08 Ball is now used for Cheetah Pattern only. Very predictable. acts like a 2-piece stinger with the pin under finger. OK. Off of the drill press, shot 300 and 803. Then 2 weeks later, another 300 and a week later...298. It died. Put in the Hook AGAIN machine, that made it a little better. It has also been resurfaced. I was also told by others that when it was resurfaced, the coverstock lost its reaction. I have now used Hot water with Dawn..FINAL ATTEMPT to restore the ball that was the best in my lineup. The Angular One was very good up till its issue. It was smooth over mid lane with tremendous turnover. It would sit when you wanted it to and would carry heavy or light. I will be saddend if it doesnt come back. I loved this ball AND I want it to come back to life. 4/24/07. HERE LIES ANGULAR ONE, DEAD AFTER ALL ATTEMPTS OF RECOVERING. HAS NOW BEEN MOVED TO SECONDARY ARSENAL....IF THAT. it just wont jump back. 2/21/08. OR....maybe it just needed a sabatical

I don't understand all the complaints about the cover dying; this ball has been getting better for me with age and I have been using it a lot lately. I rubbed it down with the 4000 abralon pad after it arrived and just keep cleaning it with 409. #1 drilling - nothing special. This is a very versatile ball - if there's even a little bit of oil in the heads, you can find a line to strike with. Be firm, watch your speed, tweak your release when you need to and just watch it go. Impressive move off the breakpoint and great continuation through the pins. It's a thing of beauty when it hits the hole. This ball saves a lot of energy for the pins and takes the corners out very consistently. UPDATE 4/18: Have 70+ games on it now and it's still a serious weapon; no evidence of cover degradation. Pulled it out for games 2 & 3 Friday night and shot 520 for 2.

A bad ball that you shouldn't buy. its to much money for this kind of ball. it may be a good ball for a week or two but in the long run it isnt worth the 200$. if you think this is the best ball ever than you must be throwing in the right spot. it is too complicated to throw and this balls name stands up for it. it is all angles about this ball. If you are looking for a good ball you should keep looking! in my opinion, this ball sounds cool but it doesn't stand up to its name "ONE" because its the "0"

After the 20 games my ball was dead..I noticed this with the other house bowlers..We talked about the ball and how it died on them..The ball hooks as if it was just a regular midpriced ball.. This ball is not worth $135 more like $100 First 20 games was the peak performance of the ball. The ball would just snap in the backend as hard as it can. When i first got the ball i went at least 18 in a row..The ball was just awesome. I wish it would have lasted longer.BEcause i would have bought another one

likes: its a great ball and fits me well hits hard when thrown correctly dislikes: 3 weeks, and it completely died on me my target zone spare ball rivals it in hook now no matter how much i clean it or bleed it out, i just cant find the nice snappy reaction it had out of the box i would suggest getting the no mercy instead of this ball i bought it off a friend and it has the same out of the box reaction the angular one once had, but it isnt dieing out on me like the angular one did<s

YES I AM A BIG EBONITE FAN. THOUGH I DIDN'T BUY THE NV CAUSE IT MIMICS THE ONE, THE ANGULAR ONE STANDS ALONE. IT HONESTLY OUT HOOKS MY INFINITE ONE AND IT WAZ DRILLED 2 BE VERY AGGRESSIVE ON THE HEAVY OIL. THE A-1 GOES LONG AND SETS WELL. VERY CLEAN THROUGH THE HEADS, VERY PREDICTABLE AND VERY STRONG ANGLE TO THE POCKET. ALTHOUGH I USED THIS BALL ON HEAVY OIL, U NEED BACKEND AND SOME FINGERS TO MAXIMIZE ITS TRUE POTENTIAL. THOUGH IM NOT A BIG HOOKER ( I DO GET MY FINGERS IN IT) THE A-1 ALLOWED ME TO PLAY A VARIETY OF ANGLES AT VARIOUS SPEEDS TO THE POCKET. I RECOMEND THIS BALL TO OTHERS........

Just Awesome even after 108 games. The ball just keep moving and has a ton of hitting power, Has yet to roll out on me. Moves to much when the lanes break down. But a lil adjustment and were all good i have won some real good $$$$$ with this ball and will be getting another just like it. It reminds me of the orig APEX Reflex a few years back with the break point and the strong flip to the pocket and the way it just crushes the pins even on the NOT so great shots that slip out every now and again

bshall, i think i know a solution to your ball problem...i think your ball has absorbed a lot of oil...i would get it resurfaced and then repolished if ya want to(this is what i do anyways)take a scotchbrite pad to it and make sure it is dulled up real good and then take it to a shop or you can use one of the machines and get repolished i almost guarantee that your ball will be back to it's old self....one of the guys i bowl with told me about that tip..good luck

The pro shop drilled this ball for me with the #3 layout by Ebonite. had this ball for a week now and its been great. i used it last tuesday at league for the first time, lane condition is medium oil, i was playing the second arrow. the first game i shot a 267, i had 7 strikes in a row and in the 8th frame it finally left me a 10 pin, the second game i was out of it due to bowler error, my game was off. third game i shot a 236 had 6 strikes in a row and on the 7th frame i left the 10 pin again. i didnt make my spares thats why i shot lower than my first game. my friend also tried my ball and likes how it hits, he is a stroker also with slower ball speed(14+mph) and low rev. he actually beat me with my own bowling ball haha. Overall i would say this is a great ball by Ebonite. Clean thru the heads, great midlane reaction, and very strong backend.

The only reason that I bought this ball was because my Domination got damaged at my local bowling center and I was waiting for a replacement. The ball had a 4-5 in pin with 3.65 oz top weight. I drilled the pin out and shifted the cg about 2.5 in from the center of my grip. THis agian worked great out oif the box I was able to shoot 299 and a 290 in practice and I was certian that this was going to be a great ball for me. The following week I shot my third 300 with this ball and a 793 set. I was very excited and I thought that i might be making the switch to ebonite for good. But then like every other ebonite ball that I have had in the past after about 30 games the ball died. The reaction was gone and the ball did not react anything liek it did before. I resurfaced it and also did the hook agian and the rejuvenator trying to regain some of the reaction that it lost but to no avial. I am sticking with storm products they have always done good for me. I am not saying that ebonite dosen'

I like this ball at first but i was worried about whether or not this ball would die out like the original one. the man at my pro shop said this one would last for awhile. Ive had my about 4 weeks now and guess what no more snap no more hook DIED DIED DIED another disappointment by Ebonite so good out of the box and then dead no hook at all what the point in buying the 245$ paper weight i mean dam. I think this ball is good at first but then again who wants a ball that last 50 games and then doesnt snap at all hell this thing barely hooks period now...

xtremely forgiving and easy to throw. jux aim outside of ten pin and u got it. carry is awesome!! raised average 30 points. easy to open up the lanes and gives the best entry into the pocket that I have ever seen, before I threw a track mean machine. but this is so much more forgiving and much easier the control. drilled it to flip and boy does it flip. clears the heads no matter how fried and is awesomw when battling carry down. if u wanna throw with power and average rev, move right and bam! hits and carries like no other ball on the market. for hight rev's OOB CONDITION is all u need. highly recommended to crankers, strokers, and tweeners of all types.medium to flooded lanes are great conditions.

After numerous surface changes, hand position changes, and virtually every adjustment known to bowlings, I am convinced that this ball is a terd. Just hits like a feather. Left flat 10 pins like it was my job; with a leverage drilling!!!! Hated the way it rolled on almost every shot that I threw it on (6 or 7). I am officially done with ebonite. This is the 3rd ball that I have had drilled and hated all three. I average 229 on the same shots with a No Mercy and love the way it hits and carries. It outperforms the angular one by a long shot. I'm not saying that because I like any other brand name of ball either. The No Mercy is the first hammer ball that i've ever owned and I score with almost all other equipment besides ebonite. Good rittens.

I believe this ball live up to the hype giving by Ebonite. I've thrown the One and threw about 23 300's with my The One, but after about 3 months it died out and was a huge paperweight. lol . But i am trying this ball out and hoping it stays continuous so that i can shot more 300's and hopefully another 800 in league. i believe this ball is a 9 . simply because if the lanes don't have a backend then that ball is going to go straight if u have a backend the ball is going to jump and drive like no other ball i have thrown and ive thrown about every type bowling ball made litterally from Columbia's, i've tried the Paradigms not the Domination, but the other Storm balls, and Brunswicks Inferno line also. Ebonite is the best if it doesn't die out on you...

15 lbs Drilled with Pin under Ring finger, MB at 45Degrees. I am begining to really like these 4000 grit balls. I was a little leary of this layout, I really didnt want a ball that was gonna spool up to early then hook like crazy. What i got was magic...Length is not a problem at all, matter of fact its longer than my Widdow which was drilled with a longer layout. And the movement to the pocket is just like it says, Angular and more consistent than the Widdow. You do need to be careful, as with the Widdow this ball is speed and rotation sensitive. It has been awhile since i have thrown Ebonite equipment, now I have the Angular as my everyday ball, and when the lanes burn out i bring out the xxxcel (which i took to 4000 and drilled negative) for the dry conditions. If you bowl in a house with a decent amount of oil, get one and Drill it to hook.. you will be suprised how easy this ball is to throw.

The ball is one of the best ebonite has put out in the one line and really wish they would reconsider not making this the last ball in this series this series has been the best compliment to each other that I have ever had and would definitly like to see what the ne Total NV will do. I am very satisfied I shot my best first series out of the box with this ball and I have drilled a lot of balls I shot 784 with this ball and should have been alot more if you need some real good hook definitly buy this ball and don't touch the surface till you throw it 5 or 6 games you will not be disapointed. I bought this ball expecting it to be a good compliment to other Ebonite balls I carry. I expected the pearlized cover to go long and snap hard and it does but if you get fast the ball doesn't want to work. Get too slow and it knifes through the pins leaving nasty splits and the corners. I have used the ball enough to know it does not work with my style of bowling (high rev, using all parts of the lane as oil dictates). It is very unforgiving, all the above are things I don't associate with Ebonite equipment. I hate to spend the $4 and not use it but I hate to score poorly even more. If I had it to do over again, I'd pass.
