The Slate U-Dot is the ultimate urethane ball for limited distance dressing (short oil). It allows the bowler to play the dry reaction and still produces long skid, even arc, and crucial pin carrying action.

Combine limited distance dressing (short oil) with the long skid even arc, and devastating pin carrying action of Columbia 300's Slate U-Dot. The characteristics of the Slate U-Dot allow you to play the dry boards without over-reaction. You can even slow your speed without losing control.

I found out, that this ball ball works best on wooden lanes. Not to use on heavily oiled synthetics, because the ball has too little hook potential and won`t move an arrow on heavily oiled and wet lanes. If the lane has a fresh oil on it dont put thisball out. I sometimes use this ball on a totally broken down house shot where reactives cant hold the hand you give them. Regard to handle this ball with a lot of strength and energy, because it`s just hard to effect a certain hook with such a simple core structure. All in all it`s a good strike ball, although rather old and the core structure does not allow you to bowl on modern tournament conditions.
