Drill Pattern: - 135* - 2 1/2 Pin To PAP Surface Preperations: - Box (I'm guessing about 800 grit) - 400 grit - Polished Lane Surfaces: - AMF HPL - Brunswick Proanvil - Brunswick Anvil - Old crappy ass wood Lane Patterns: - 10 to 10 typical house shot - 2 different sport patterns (I don't recall exactly which ones) My Game: - I throw the ball too hard - PAP 5 5/8 Right & 1 1/8 Up - Don't have a clue how many revs, but I tried everything w/ this ball... First off, the ball never quit on me... Never rolled out...I was happy about that... However, on every pattern and lane surface w/ all the surface changes, the ball just hit flat.... It arcs beautifully, but hits like a soggy gerbil... I really would have liked to try a more aggressive drill pattern on it, but the drilling instructions (not to mention the lady from Circle I talked to on the phone) suggested that the Idol not be drilled w/ the MB any further right than the pin and the pin no lower than the fingers

I bought this ball to try out Circle Athletics and what better ball to try from a new company then there heavy oil ball. I drilled this ball up 3 3/8 x 3 3/8 pin beside the RF. I was using this ball on my scratch league shot. We are trying out a new pattern this year. Brand new synthetic coated lanes. They are laying a heavy oil pattern out to about 40'. Everything I have been using in the past just is not cutting through the oil. So I used this ball in league. This is ball is awsome. I was playing 15-10 and this ball was just snapping back and crushing the pocket. It was outhooking the Ultimate Inferno's on my lane. There were 3 of them. Nobody could believe the reaction I was getting from this ball. Then I took it to a tournament that had a little less oil and was synthetics lanes. Playing a 20-10 on that shot and averaged 233 for 5 games. This is a very versitile ball that you can use on oil.
