    Drilled flat over label to go very straight. I use this ball for my cross lane spares and when the lanes are bone dry. When the lanes are very dry, I can launch it from the 2 board, giving it a good turn, and not too much speed, and it will actually roll up to the pocket. Any other time it goes straight. I occasionally use this ball on heavy oil when I can't get anything else to work, and aim it off the corner at the pocket to leave easy spares. A great ball for those who would like to own their first ball, rather than using house balls. Great color combinations also.

    Purchased for my girfriend. She's not what you would call a bowling fanatic, but likes to go with me to spend time together. She's used to be the type you needed the bumpers for. But owning her own ball inspired her to work harder at the game. She used to score anywhere from 20-50 a game, recently she bowled a 143 with this ball. (Only 1 month after getting it) So if you're urging your spouse or SO into bowling, select a fun ball and make sure it's not too heavy for them (1/10th body weight).

    I got this in a starting package that included this ball, a pair of bowling shoes and a Brunswick bag, and overall it's been a good ball. My color is Teal/Yellow/Black. It's surprisingly versatile, being able to hook a little in dryer conditions (my local hall usually has pretty dry lanes) and a great spare ball. It's also good looking and changes color in cosmic bowling. It's also easy to use, since it doesn't really suck up any oil nor do you have to always be wiping it and it can cope with an enormous amount of use (my ball has a huge dump of games on it already and it doesn't really show or feel). So far it's my only ball, though i've been thinking of getting an entry-level performance ball, such as a Power Groove or Tropical Storm.

    I finally broke down and bought a good spare ball. I had been throwing my Visionary Slate Gargoyle but I kept missing my 7 pins with it. Since I have gotten this ball drilled I have been about making around 95% of my 7 pins. That is a far cry of what I had been making. I will never bowl anywhere without this ball. I have tried to hook this ball for craps and giggles and it only moves about 5 boards. It is a must have for any person that takes bowling seriously. No matter what the condition is, this is the ball for your spares.

    Got this ball for christmas and just had it drilled up. My color is Red/Black/Gold, and it looks great with green inserts. A ball can not go much straighter than this one. It was refreshing, after never having had a spare ball, to see the ball stay straight on a ten pin shot. Picked up a 2-10 split in my second game with it. Extremely predictable if you are accurate. Another good thing about this ball is that it never needs cleaning, being a plastic coverstock. If you are in the market for a spare ball, this is a very good choice.

    Every bowler can use a spare ball in their arsenal. This ball has been good to me, picked the Big 4 with it, still trying to get the elusive 7-10 split. When the outside lanes got bone dry, this ball will hook a few boards when throwing at the 10 pin.     Not much to like except seems to get the job done. Along with Smokin Inferno has helped bring avg up 30 pins in about 1 month. However, and this is alittle embarrising, for some reason ball hooks alittle under dry lane conditions. WHY??? Idont know yet still looking into it but could be because Im throwing it a little slower also because it helps increase my accuracy. Other than that its a spare ball that believe it or not makes spares. I know hard to believe lol. Anywho any advice on why ball is hooking a little please email me at minono97@aol.com

    i got this ball from a friend and drilled it with a 1-2in pin and a 3-4in top weight. i can finally pick up the ten pin! normally i would have to throw one of my high performane balls straight and that would leave big scratches on it so i needed a way to pick up the pins i left a friend offered this ball to me i gladly accsepted and went to leage that night and shot the following games: 186-170-200(yes 200 even). this ball is great. GET ONE IF YOU WANT TO INCREASE YOUR SPARE PERCENT!!!

    Well, i have a fist edition Brunswick Target Zone, and i needed a new spare ball so i thought why not buy the same ball, just heavier. So i bought it. Man this ball slides, i love it! This is and amazing spareball. Columbia300 is my favorite company, but hell, they could not make a spare ball like this!     Currently i throw a 12lbs version one of the target zone, this ball is amazing. I am now in the process of buying a brand new 2004inized version. Brunswick has been making this for a long time now, and i dont blame this. This is a great spare ball, good variety in colors, and its just a great spare ball. This ball though, if you have an older version, will hook like curve like a train on steriods. But any ways, GO BRUNSIWCK FOR SPARE BALL! moo, oink, bikock, chirp beep KAPOW! the last one is a american duck on seroids.

    This is a very good ball for getting those pesky ten pins. One major factor for my increase in average is the percentage of spare shot conversions i have. This ball has really helped take those right side spares especially the ten pin. I have even tried using this ball for dry lane conditions and it had saved me a number of times when my other ball would overreact on dry lane conditions. I use this ball on all my right side spare shots and sometimes on some of my left side spare shots when the lanes are so unpredictable.

    i got this ball for spares mostly 7 pin spares. i got tired of shooting 190s because i couldnt make the 7 pin. now i have my problem solved. in just 2 weeks my 2 saturday league averages went from 171 and 180 to a 187 and 195 and goin higher. the only problem i have was that it didnt hit as hard as i thougtht it would. i also wish that i bought it earkier so i could raise my high school average up. but next year i garantee that my average will be at least a 200. peace peace peace peace peace peace

    It goes straight on at least light oiled lanes. I haven't tried this ball on toasted lanes yet, but if it does react, it will react like a house ball if you bowled it the same way! I have it drilled so that the 'Brunswick' logo is immediately above my fingers, the 'Zone' logo is on the left, and the 'MADE IN USA' script is in my palm! ;-) What else can I say? I like to palm bowl sometimes, palm bowling looks wicked on light oil; when it goes right on the edge, then comes screaming back occasionally into the pocket!

    This really is the ball for all of your needs, converts with accuracy and hits with power. Good for any target, well maybe not for a moving target, but if you know what you are doing, it will convert whatever is left standing. I know that some people hate this ball for its slight curve and yes, it can be quite annoying, but once you get to know this ball, al the hate will turn to love. The balls goes exactly where you put it (and thats a good thing), never falls into the gutter before reaching the 10th pin and it also doesn`t look too colourful, so you won`t get a headache from just watching someone throw this ball. There is really nothing to say - it`s a great ball.

    Overall, this is a good ball. It will do what you want (pick up spares), in those situations when a super-aggressive ball just won't work. I find it most useful for the 10 pin (for a righty), and any 1-pin spares you shouldn't try with an aggressive ball. I throw my ball around 16 mph with a medium-high rpm rate, and i find it will curve a very very miniscule amount. But it's really nothing that will make a difference. I'm not really sure how good it'd be for a beginner, but I suspect it would be alright, even though it lacks hitting power. But what do you expect from a plastic ball, anyways? So, since there is nothing wrong for what I need it for, I give the Brunswick Target Zone a 10 out of 10.

    I added a new hook ball to my arsenal! I guess the more I buy balls the more I find out I’m a cranker (I thought I was a tweener). Just got the Target Zone to compliment my Monster Frenzy. My first intention, when I bought this ball, was it would go straight for me no matter what I did. I guess not because I can get this baby to hook at least 8 boards! Not a problem though. It’s slippery enough to let me loosen my wrist up a bit and I can pick up the seven pins with my eyes closed. This years league I will be looking forward to all my games to be over 130. The year before, the lanes I bowled on did not get oiled the first half of the season causing my ball to hook end to end into the gutter (no matter how much I loosened my wrist). Well, I’ll be ready this season because I can use my target zone as a strike ball (it probably won’t crush the pins though) when the lanes are super dry. I wanted to give this 8 pins max if it just picked up spares but I’m gonna have to give it a 10 becau

    This ball replaced my Pink Hammer for spares. I've had it for about 2 weeks, and my 10-pin percentage is skyrocketing. Right out of the box, I converted a 3-7 with it in practice as though I had thrown it for years. I haven't had it hook away or slide to the right using my strike ball motion. I've thrown it light oil, standard league and heavy-oil without making any adjustments for 10-pins. For me, it's no longer a guessing game like it was with the Pink Hammer. This one is a keeper.

    This ball was my very first one. I used it for two seseans and now i am beginning to find weaknesses in the ball now that i have learned how to bowl. First i have always had a problem with the ball curving a little too much and missing the ten pin by an inch or the ball won't curve at all which i like better. This ball when used right will mainly go staight or curve a board over. The only way this ball curves is by the bowler throughing it slow or the bowler putting about 500RPM on it. One advantage about this ball is when people try to through a 2 finger curve. This ball has the best curve out of the plastics that i have seen with the 2 finger curve. This ball performs like a reactive when used l a 2 finger curve.

    I bought this ball to improve my overall spare percentage, but more specifically, my ten pins. I've had this ball for 2 years and it has served me well. The only problem is that it has a tendency to hook when you don't want it to. This wasn't a bad thing when i spun the ball at the 10 pin and it would recover when i missed a little bit right. But when the lanes were dry it hooked to the left of it. But now I break my wrist to shoot straight, so I don't have to worry about the hooking.

    Great spares ball, very consistant until its very very dry.Allows for easy pick ups of single pins. Can be used as a strike ball in the very dry, but its a bit of a let down in the hitting stakes.It is still so controlable in most conditions that you should still get away with a good game score with it. Mine is black with sparkles in it, but you can get a massive range of colours to suit any mood. Overall a good ball and at the right price, it makes a great starter ball as my daughter has one and likes it very much.

    I throw a fast shot with high RPM's and a lot of hook. Picked this up as a spare/10 pin ball. Needed no polish and was great out of the box. VERY PREDICTABLE slight 3 board tail around 58'. Makes 10 pins a breeze. Ran into some unfamiliar ball reaction on lane conditions that were *extremely* dry. Ball break was somewhat unconsistant but I still was able to counter with some success. Regardless, you can count on consistantcy through normal lane conditions and expect no suprises. I threw it as a strike ball for a dozen games and found it to have a weak track into the pocket with very little carrying power compared to other balls. If you are looking for a no-frills, solid spare ball, this is a good choice. 9 out of 10.
