Stumbled across this ball on Facebook marketplace with a lot of 5 other balls in the set. Decided to throw it and see what it was all about. My goodness I’ve never been more surprised by older reactive bowling equipment. It has aged like fine wine, it took about 4 shots to finally get it to start working out and rolling properly again. No professional here (currently carrying an average of 189) but man shooting 216 with this ball (not properly or drilled legally) was the biggest shock for me. I look forward to a rework on this lovely piece 30 years later.

After fifteen years, the Teal rolls on. I got this ball back from my best friend in a trade. I wanted something smooth and reliable, and, after a complete restoration, it fit the bill. I discovered the true power of reactive urethane with the Brunswick Rhino Pro Teal (pin on CG, drilled 3" X 3" with an X-hole on the midline). It shaped my modern game; the first ball of which I threw a more pronounced hook. I rolled my first-ever 700 series with the Teal in June of '93, a near-perfect 287 in January of '94, and back-to-back 660 series on league in March of '94. I gave it to my best friend as a gift in the spring of '95. Thirteen years later, the Teal came home, and it's here to stay! If you can find one, get it. If you already own one, keep it!

Overall this is a decent ball. I use it when the oil breaks down or when I need to make that 10 pin spare. I polished it to a High Gloss using Finesse It polish. It doesn't finish as well as I would like it to, but I plan on taking to tournaments where there is a light oil pattern. If you polish this ball it will work great on drier lane conditions. If I could get my hands on another one I would probably buy it. I don't think I would polish it just to see what would happen. I don't know how it would react on today's conditions. Not a bad entry level ball for someone looking to start bowling.

Brunswick coudln't have possibly known what they had when they released this ball. I have owned 3 of them throughout the years 2 of which were retired due to the weight of the ball and the 3rd was retired when I decided to upgrade to newer equipment. After spending about $1000 on new bowling balls a few years back and an average 15 pins lower than I'm use to seeing on the scoreboard I ended up in the basement looking for this ball. Took it to the shop had new grips put it in and a fresh coat of polish. That very night I shot my first sanctioned 300 game and followed with a 299 a few weeks later with it at another bowling center. Where ever I go now, this ball goes with me. I will never retire this ball again.

when the lanes are bone dry, I just move left and send this baby right....it goes long and comes back hard, hits like a train, and obliterates the rack.... I really, really love this ball....had my first time doing 11 in a row with this ball...mine was drilled straight over the label (rotated 90 degrees) and the pin was dead in the middle of the label with the CG punch dead in the middle of the pin..... just hate that I must now retire the ball...have to drop to 15 lb stuff due to arm problems....

First 300 - 748 with this ball! Pin in mid grip under the ring finger 1500 grit double buff. Got this ball on the cheap for $10 and had the thumb pluged to fit my hand. I would recomend as a first reactive or for the arsenal. I see people use this ball 1000 grit no polish and it works well on the medium oil. I play usually around 17 to 6 board so it catches a little dry andt hen starts its move. If you find one cheap and maybe a little work done it still is better than most the new balls. I brought it back using the dishwasher with a dot of dawn trick. Rock on!!!

Just a little don't ya think. =) But since this ball is being remade I figured i'd review it anyway. Bowler Specs: Lefty 450rpms Ball Speed: 18mph at the pins Ball Specs: 1" Pin in Drilled 3x3, Sanded to 600 I love older equipment, the Teal is probably my favorite. With this low rg core and the mild urethane cover, the ball is sooo smooth on the backend, and never flippy. The teal is prefect for smoothing out those flying backends extreme wet/dry patterns. Dull the Teal is great for medium/Light and medium oil, Polished its great on lighter oil. The only complaint I have about this ball and most older balls is that there not as forgiving to bad releases as newer stuff. There's something about these older Brunswick balls, they hit sooo freakin hard. You can still find these classics on a few sites, and there deffinitly worth the price.

I could've hurt the Pro Shop guy when he decided I needed this ball instead of a Pro Hook Extreme. After the Purple Rhino incident I wasn't the least bit interested in trying another Rhino Pro. When it finally arrived in 1994, I threw it in a summer league right out of the box and was instantly amazed at how easy it was to throw. It's first game was 224 and at the end of the night I had a 620 (not bad for a 170 bowler at the time) and it helped get my average into the 190s for the first time. I used it religiously in college for 2 years with the same reaction wherever I went. When I went to a Danger Zone I held on to it for those just-in-case nights. I've probably put only 40-50 games on it in the last 4 years, but I always knew I could pull it out of the bag when the Zone was too much. Unfortunately, my 16-pounders are causing problems for my hand and back and I have to drop to 15. I might hold on to it in my new arsenal but I'm not sure yet. If you can find one get it ...

This ball is an absolute monster on the backend and that's on todays slicker, oilier conditions - this must have been an even bigger monster on the typical early 90's shots! This ball hits so hard! I never used to get messengers using my newer Brunswick equipment but when I started throwing the Rhino, Watchout!!!! Pins flying everywhere! This ball is drilled with the fingers lined up directly below the "B" logo, which places the cg in my palm when I hold the ball. The ball has approx. a .5 inch pin which is up and to the right of the cg, or about 1.5 inches directly below my ring finger. This layout gives me great control for my style and still provides a huge backend reaction. This ball can be used on all the various conditions that show up at the house I bowl out of which is what i like best about it. Typical conditions at my house range from Med. with Med. carrydown to a desert and is always a wall shot. If you can get your hands on one of these babies, snap it up as soon as you ca

I very rarely brought this ball out, it was only meant for specific situations. When I did bring it out though and I'm still baffled to this day, this ball snapped ungodly on the backends, I'm still not sure why it had basic drilling, it wasn't sanded always polished. I never really got to see anyone else ever throw a Teal rhino except me. Although I have always liked most reactive rhinos. This ball I could say would be something similar to the Pit Boss or Attitude 3, it waited until the very end then just SNAPPED to the pocket. You would have to watch how you threw it though, or it would belly up on you and BOOM too much head and hello splits. But overall I was very happy with this ball. I got it extremely cheap too. If you can still find this I would recommend it. Good for starters and veterans alike.
