This ball seems to find its way to the pocket, even on bad shots, but the carry percentage is lower than any ball I've seen. I'm talking WD, Tzone,Maxim kinda carry! I purchased this ball for my Dad to replace an old worn out Storm Flash force. He's a inside man who likes to play about 15 to 12. The ball glides to the pocket with ease but he pops ten pin after ten pin after ten pin!! I got him to slow it down a bit to let it finish harder on a 15 to 10 line and that helped the 10 get kicked out but then the hard finish lead to some 9 pins and a few strong sevens. The last time out, he didn't carry a single strike through a game and a half, then switched to his flashforce and posted 224 playing the same line. He has no confidence in it and that may have something to do with it's problems, or I should say, his problems.

So, I've bowled a few games of open play and two league sessions with the ball now. I'm really confused about this ball. I got a little creative and negative pinned it up. Let me start by saying if a ball can hit the hole and carry, it's this one. I've never had a problem with a zone ball doing that, and this continues the streak, even at 14 lbs. HOWEVER, the ball is very squirty and the roll seems to be in-consistant. I have had problems throwing the ball as of late, so I'm sure that's part of it, but I know it's not all of it. Get it in the dry and it goes through the nose, it's really a "miss-inside" ball. I have put together a few good games (one including the front six where the ball hit the pocket and left a 5-10) (yikes), so I'll throw the ball some more to see where it goes. It's probably the pin, but I drilled this ball just for nationals this year.

i love this ball...usually this is the first ball i taker out during league or a tournament because how strong it is. I stand at 21/22 and throw over 12/13 board and just turns and destroys pins. Great light-hit reaction ball. watch out for dry boards though...if it hits dry patches then this ball will roll early and leave splits. damn 100 word minimum la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la a la la la<scrip

So...I just bought this ball for 20 dollars from someone I bowl with. I like the ball alot, on medium to medium-heavy oil. The ball is sanded to 1000 grit to make it move a little earlier. it arcs through the backend and hits the pins hard, and is versatile with several lines. In one league, there is a medium oil volume on a shorter pattern. I will stand to the left of the last dot and play it through the middle of the lane to the 10 board. This works rather well for that another league I bowl in has quite a bit more oil and a longer pattern. For this i stand in the middle of the lane and throw the ball to the 5 board, letting it hit the dry and snap back to the pocket. I much prefer this line with the way the ball is drilled. The only problem I have with the ball is on heavy heavy patterns, the ball dies aftrer only 2 or 3 games, and I have to pull out my Xfactor to finish the day...I dont like having to find a new line in the middle of a tournament because my ball dies too

Had one of these laid out with the pin about 4 to 4 1/2 inches off my pap, just under my ring finger with the MB at about 45 degrees between my thumb and VAL and no weight hole needed. In box finish this ball went TOO LONG for me. I have a higher ball speed (18-20mph) which is part of the problem. I was able to use this in box finish when the lanes fried up a bit and it became my "late in the block" ball. At that point I could play up 10 or move in a bit and slow (15 to 17 mph) loop it from 3rd or 4th arrow out to the dry. Someone suggested I try to take the ball to 1000 or 2000 grit abralon with no polish. So I tried that and VIOLA!, like having a completely different ball. I could play hard up 10 on fresh or slight used lanes, move in and loop it from 3rd or 4th arrow and not worry about it going too long or hitting too light at the pocket. It reads the lane in the mids like most B-Wick pieces do but it goes just a bit longer (by design) and then makes a nice hard arc to the pocket w

i have a vapor zone drilled for length before the breakpoint. i love it. so i got the idea to drill up a red zone , make it a little stronger and keep the surface a little lower than the vapor zone. GREAT IDEA! i use both zones during league and tourneys and i couldn't be happier. :) brunswick's asymmetrical line is unmatched. the red zone is a great add to any bowlers bag especially higher rev playes. just make sure you picka good drilling because i've seen some dukike red zones because of shitty drillings, layouts mostly. anyway brunswick makes the best stuff anyhow so the red zone is defintiely a must buy.

I purchased this ball used. I lightly sanded it down with a Green Scotch Brite pad and then bowled w/o the polish. The ball rolled early with little hitting power on medium conditions. I then decided to polish it up. WOW is all I can say. The Red Zone sprung to life. It went into a more skid flip motion. The flip was incredible though. It was like someone was literally standing on the lane and kicking the ball into the pocket. Amazing, but I wouldn't recommend this ball for the heavy stuff. It works great on medium to even light stuff when polished. For me it hit harder when it skid and flipped.

This ball is basically the Classic Zone without the skid/snap reaction. Same easy length through the heads, but this ball starts just a bit sooner than the Classic with a hard arc/turn. In my opinion, the Classic Zone was the most underrated ball Brunswick has ever produced. I have eaten guys up with the Classic who were rolling the higher priced Infernos and other higher priced equipment. The Red Zone is no different in this respect - first set out of the box was a 784 on a house shot. Bowled on a sport shot with it and rolled a nice 657. The Red Zone is versatile and responds well to surface and hand position adjustments. It has the ability to play deep inside, or way outside and still maintains great punch at the pocket. Everyone should have a Red Zone type ball in their bag!<sc

this ball was great and excellent...hits like a ton....if this ball hit the pin...pins will flying........great for medium oil.....before i got this ball...my average was less than 150....after i get this ball..my average was 180.....veru wonderful ball....i like it very much.....this ball is better than inferno ball......if o throw outside..this ball still comeback and crush the pocket....and send pin everywhere.....easy to get strike......better than strike and vapor zone....this ball is easy to control...if the lane is dry...this ball still can work...not like inferno ball which is not good on dry lane...speed sensitive

Unlike other reactive balls that are very abrupt and angular, I like the Red Zone because it's smooth and angular. This ball is very consistent, which makes it predictable. That's important because this ball reads the lane so well that you have to keep on top of your speed and your moves. Unlike the Vapor Zone that will allow me to get more frames from a certain line I'm playing by adding more speed, the Red Zone isn't as cooperative. It doesn't want to hold a semi-dry line, it's in search of a little oil, and when I throw it on a house condition during the early or late league--it's a performer. The Red Zone is consistent and I score well with this ball (697 last night) I always seem to have area "right", and I don't have to worry about the ball making uncontrolled moves. I've never had an over / under problem with this ball. My choice over the Vapor and Srtike Zones. I'm a 210 bowler with the pin located half inch above and centered between the two finger holes. Layout: 45 Pin down Hole up This ball when I first threw it outhooked everything I had on the backend, it was just to sharp off the breakpoint and backend to be thrown on any fresh shot. Compared to my Hawg Zilla (75 degree's, pin down) The ball is move of a sharp breakpoint, and way more backend. My Hawg zilla is very smooth early and predictable. The Red Zone is very unpredictable on fresh shots and not smooth. I used this ball in my saturday morning league after the shot broke down and I had a good track carved out with my hawg zilla. The Zilla was catching just a little to early and not hitting hard enough, so I took out this ball and threw about the same line, it owuld skip the dry part on the lane, and catch the carry down making a nice, more even move into the pocket. Instead of the skid.kick motion on the fresh shot. This ball is a great combo with the hawg zilla.<scri

I DECIDED TO STICK WITH BRUNSWICK. I TRUST THE BALLS AND THEY HAVE A CONTRLLED ROLL. MY GAMES ARE HIGHER AND AVERAGE HAVE INCREASED. I THREW MY FIRST 300 WITH MY ORGINAL INFERNO AND THE RED ZONE ROLLS THE SAME. I SHOT 2 800 SERIES IN PRACTICE WITH THE REDZONE AND MY AVERAGE STAYS ABOVE 215. FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT LIKE BRUNSWICK FOR WHAT EVER REASON , ITS A MUST TO HAVE A RED ZONE IN YOUR BAG. IN MY BAG I CARRY THE ABSOUTLE, SCROCHIN AND THE REDZONE...THATS ALL YOU NEED. MY NEXT BALL WILL BE THE VAPOR FOR SKID WHIP DRILL PATTERN ENJOY!

In my dealings with Brunswick, I've found that Zones work wonders on wooden lanes.. I still happen to own a Zone Impulse in excellent condition and let me tell you the Red Zone is very much its equal. I would polish the Impulse for added length. No need with the Red Zone .It gives excellent lenght on the med-med dry condition. This is a ball I recommend for anyone looking for High performance in the Mid ball range. This ball is clean thru the heads, an has an excellent arc to the pocket. Hits very hard. aside from my personal errors, if you hit the mark and follow thru properly, this ball will do exactly what it was designed for as will every other ball RITE!!!!!!

Love this ball its a keeper. First time i threw it it drove through and keeped driving throught he pins and hit hard. It had a great backend and i can play outside line and this ball will come screamming back. Great ball to have in you arsenal. Frist time i used tis ball shot a 269. had great carry only left 1 ten pin so far and that because i went brokllyn and missed my mark but when i hit the pocket it was all ten in the pit. This ball is a deffently a keeper...............................................I kept it factory finish polished cause wanted ball that had a good bakend and would hit hard and found it in the redzone.

This ball hit like a truck when you have good medium oil condition. With the polished on the surface it create a skip flip ball reaction. The ball is drill with the pin above the bridge and cg kick out with a balance hole. When the lane break down a little, this ball can still hold and explode to the pocket. Highly recommed to people that love the ball that goes long. SUIT THE BEST ON MEDIUM OIL. 100 wordsssssssssssssssssssssssssssss 100 wordssss 100 words 100 wordss 100 words 100 word 100 word 100 word 100 word word word to your mother word word word word word word

Best ball in my bag!! The ball is SMOOTH down the lanes and hits like a ton of lead. I picked all of my 10 pins on my first time out! No spare ball needed. I can't wait to take this ball to different houses to see how she does. Get ready to score with the Brunswick Red Zone. After my great experience with the Vapor Zone, I was very eager for the release of the Red Zone. In box finish, this ball is great for fresh medium to heavier oil patterns. The ball produces a strong revving mid lane roll, that the Zone asymmetric series has become known for. The Red Zone will not be as angular at the breakpoint as the Vapor Zone, thus giving more predictability when the back-ends are fresh. Even though the ball has a smoother breakpoint, it still retains the strong drive through the pindeck that I saw with the Vapor Zone. This ball can be roughed up with 1000 abralon to produce more overall hook for more heavily oiled conditions. I high recommend the Red Zone for all players. Brunswick has scored again in the mid-price ball category. Bowler’s pap on high diff. balls: 4 ¾, 3/8 up Layout used: pin 4 ½, MB 4 1/8 from PAP, pin 2” above midline of grip. The hits keep right on Coming Brunswick truly hit the mark on this ball Red Zone was truly hot At the Mini events held in Las Vegas this year This ball cut thru the oil strong in the mid-lane but did not hook early. ball was clean thru the heads, strong in the mid-lane, and great continuation in the back-ends. In comparison to the the Scorchin’ Inferno was about 5-10 boards more aggressive And this was without a super aggressive layout. Unlike most manufacturers who just release balls and say they hook more and will be better then their predecessors, The Red Zone truly lives up to the hype. Great Ball For straighter player My Layout: Pin 4 ¼ from PAP, CG 4 ¼ from PAP, Pin is below ring finger above the mid-line of my grip. My PAP: 5" across 1/8 Up Balance hole 2¾ Down below PAP Ball Specs: 15 lbs. 3 oz, Pin Distance 3-4 Top Weight 2.7
