Brunswick Radical Inferno Bowling Ball

The Radical Inferno is the first ball to take advantage of Brunswick's new Urethane casting machine. The machine is part of a custom built "State-of-the-Art" room full of high-tech equipment that incorporates enhanced control over processing parameters. This machine includes a sensor system that monitors temperatures, pressures, and flow rates at every important point in the casting process. Our new Urethane casting machine has enabled Brunswick to produce a new class of Reactive coverstock. Octane coverstock is the result of 3 years of Research and Development into both materials technology and Urethane processing parameters. The same meticulous screening of materials that produced the Activator coverstock family has now resulted in Octane. Improved back-end traction with a sharper breakpoint, Octane is a perfect compliment to the Activator coverstock balls known for their early revving action. The Radical Inferno is in the "Highly Angular" ball reaction class with a high tract

overall, I think that it is an extremely lousy ball.I regret buying it whole-heartedly. This ball is terribly unforgiving. If you make a slight mistake, you're a goner. If you only use the radical without any other ball, I tell you that you will really hate it in 1 day. It will be torture to your game with constant adjustment as the lane gets drier. If you compare this to the power groove reactive, this ball sux. the colour comb. sux the power sux the length sux the bp shape sux and everything else accompanying it sux ok!

I got this ball last year for when the lanes are broken down a bit. The pin is above the ring finger and the cg is between the ring and middle finger around the palm. I have been pleasantly surprised by the variety of shots I can use this ball on. I can swing is from 15 to 10 on the shark. On a house shot i can beam it from about 20 to around 10. This ball is great, goes about 30 to 35 feet before it makes its move. No deflection at the pin deck and the only issue I have is that I leave the occasional 9 pin.

do not play this ball on dry surfaces....i left so many splits today with the ball because the lanes were drying out. you want oil but dryer backends with this ball. with carrydown it seems to skid more than i'd like but thats when i just move a few borads right and its all fixed. 100 words......ok here its goes i'm going to write 11 words because this site requires me to and its really annoying what the hell am i supposed to write about in 100 words i guess i could write about bananas or watermelons

Layout: Pin above ring finger with a flare increasing X-hole. Surface: Box, then changed to 2000 Abralon. Purpose: To give me something with a more skid-snap look to handle mediums. Observations: With the shine, the ball worked fine, but seemed to go too long sometimes without a big enough snap, especially when not throwing it far enough to reach the outside dry boards. It just skid on oil, and when thrown to the outside, after the outside boards had really dried, it would go high all the time. Sanded with 2000 Abralon, it retained the skid-snap look, and cut through the oil more effectively. It also wouldn't react so aggressively to the dry boards, which allowed me to shoot it farther outside without the fear of going high. Final thoughts: I liked the ball with box surface on a fresh shot, but the 2000abr surface was what got the ball to really work for me. It is a good ball to use for a fresher THS, but gets too jumpy to use in a drier pattern.

I have one guy drill all of my balls. He drilled the Radical with a balance hole to make it easier to control. You either love the Radical or you hate it. For me, it's a little of both. Many have said that Brunswick balls become dull and dead really fast. The Radical Inferno contradicts this thinking. The backend is eceptionally strong with this ball. This ball goes from the front of my bag to the bottom of my bag. If you have good control and a very consistant release, the Radical will not disappoint. If your release is inconsistant, you may become very frustrated at times.

I really like Brunswick bowling balls. I have an Ultimate Inferno, Smokin Inferno and the Radical Inferno. The Smokin is my favorite. When i first got this ball i hated it, but now I love it. Ive threw my first 300 game with it and many other high scores. My avg. went up 5 pts. because of this ball. if you have the Radical and the Smokin Infernos there is nothing that can stop you!!! This ball can be thrownon almost anythin but the driest lanes, for the dry lanes trow the Smok if you got it. Remember bowl BRUNSWICK!!!

I really love this ball. It moves very well. It can take a lot more oil than I originally thought. It's very angularm which can be both good and bad. If I throw it a little bit too far outside, it will come back, but due to its angularity, it will almost always go high. Over all, I would say this is one of my most favorite balls. It's nice and long, but once it hits the breakpoint, it will rocket back. For your more oily shots, either sand it, or change to something else. Not great for shots out side 5 board.

This ball is great. It has to be one of the best Brunswick has out.1st set out of the box 269,272,279. Have 200 games on it now and it is still the best ball in my bag which includes The one,Big one,Raw toxic, scorchin inferno,Total NV,Action Packed,RSP,and so on but this is my goto ball. Also FURY but I have not thrown it yet so I hope it is as good as the rad. inferno . This is yet to be seen....... If the fury is as good as its hype then I will only buy Brunswick from now on.......

Love this ball!!! I don't know why it gets such bad reviews on another review site but right out of the box my first 4 games were 214, 203, 213, 208 and shot a 238 later on. My new favorite now...Use to throw a Storm Trauma ER but it might just sit at home now. The Storm ball would not work for me last night...Didn't hook half as much and couldn't hit the pocket with it. The Radical was pretty forgiving for me...I had about a foot of pull space where the ball would just sit on line. A wonderful ball by Brunswick!!!

I bought my Radical Inferno 2 month ago. I really like Brunswick`s Smokin Inferno and so I thought the Radical would be a good choice for my style. I tested the ball on different conditions with a variety of lines and hand positions and I must say I am very disappointed about it. If there's only little oil on your line or a bit carrydown the Radical just skates OR when it hits something dry, it makes a super sharp turn - very aggressive. Very much over/under ! Unfortunately the ball burns out extremely fast, leaving sometimes very ugly stuff even if you can get it to the pocket. On some very specific lane conditions the Radical will work but that are just a few. Maybe it will help to change the oob finish but I am not very hopeful. My advice is : If you want a ball for medium conditions that hooks and kills the pins, buy a Domination or Black Widow. Sorry Brunswick...

I only had this ball for about 4 months, I bought this ball to complimate my ultimate inferno that I love, hits like at truck! But just found this ball difficult to control, You really have to hit your mark and speed to control this ball and when it does hit it hits very weak with a thud. No were near the pop my ultimate has. Not sure what I wanna try next but I wanna keep it in the infrerno family. Maybe I just need more time to work with the ball or just save it for another house but definately going in the closet for now.

THE BEST. It hooks great. It is the best ball I ever used. Its my second ball. My first high performance ball. 179 is my highest game and I got it using my new Radical Inferno. I have quickly adapted to this ball. Many people have told me I would not be able to control this ball and eventually quit the game. I just proved them wrong. That was so fun. I am going to keep improving! I only bowled for 2-3 months and I have a better hook than some people who bowled for years! I bowled a 430 series on my second day of use. That is my highest series so far and it is only my 2-3 month of bowling. Do you think that is good?

This ball wails. After the first game I couldnt hit shlt, I grab a friends Radical and it works wonderfull. I threw is about on the 4th arrow and let it go out till about 10, and it came back with ease. If i threw it a little too fast, its held and pow'ed the pocked. If I push it out, same thing. If I let up on the speed it hook even more, but I cant say that the reaction on that is any worse. It was the same as if I threw it hard. So on that note I say this..................... SLAMA LAMA.............DING DONG!!

ball worked great for me down and in, if i had less oil, i think i could have swung the ball, definitely not an oil loving ball, but its not suppossed to be, if you scuffed it up, it would probably do pretty well on iol, just not a flood. ball hits like a truck, players with higher rev rate will love it, especially on medium oil conditions, because you can crank it as much as you want, which is good, because i spend most of my time trying to take revs off of the ball. Definitely a good addition to any arsenal.

The day i bought the ball i threw it that night. first game out of the box was a 214. that is good considering i average 190s. they say this ball needs medium to light oil. this ball needs more of medium-heavy oil. I threw this ball in our league with light oil it was very hard to keep it on the right side. This ball needs some oil. The roll on this ball is fantastic. when it hits the pocket the rack just explodes. however the very first ball i threw when i got it buried the pocket and left solid 8 pin. I also used it in another league that has wood lanes and this ball works well on wood lanes too. So really you can not go wrong with this ball.

This is the most angular ball in the Brunswick arsenal. This makes it about average for most other companies skid flip equipment. This ball when it gets to the 1-3 hits like an absolute truck. It would blow pins back and had a tendancy to keep them low allowing me to trip more than my share of 4 pins. My problem with the ball is that when you missed slightly at the break it would not recover from the right as strong as other balls on the market and it did have a tendancy to check up real early when the lanes started to transision. For Brunswick-heads this is the angular ball you've been looking for. For everyone else, this is an average skid flip ball and there are others that do it better.

I never thought I would use the word ANGULARITY for any Brunswick product. After Brunswick’s futile attempts at making a ball that would skid/flip (i.e. Smokin’ and Intense Inferno), they finally broke thru with a coverstock and core formula to develop a good skid/flip ball on medium to drier lane conditions. Bowlers should not expect to take this ball out on heavily oiled lanes and get it to skid/flip, it just was not designed for that. But if you are looking for a ball to compliment the Vapor Zone and Absolute Inferno when they start hooking too early, the Radical will be your choice. I did attempt to scuff the ball with 1000 abralon to try and even the reaction for med to heavier oil. This did do just that but I loved the reaction best in box finish due to the skid/flip nature. Every bowler asks for a ball to go down, and hook late, and this is that ball. I recommend this ball for medium to high rev players. This is without a doubt a radical change from previous Brunswick bal
