Brunswick BVP Punisher Bowling Ball

The Punisher combines the inverted bell core introduced in the BVP Nemesis and Goliath with a new reactive coverstock, N' Control PowerBoost, to create a medium hook potential ball that delivers a very strong skid/snap arc characteristic. The combination of the new N' Control PowerBoost coverstock with the medium-RG inverted bell core creates more length in the oil than previous Brunswick balls with medium hook potentials. This exceptional length characteristic helps the Punisher save reaction for the back-end, allowing it to match up well on medium and drier fresh lane conditions. The Punisher is also an excellent go-to ball when the heads have broken down and higher hook potential balls are reacting too soon on the lane. The new N' Control PowerBoost coverstock give the Punisher strong back-end recovery with good entry angle into the pocket on medium volume patterns when other balls are arcing up too soon and are flat on the back-end. I bought this ball used last season as a replacement for my Ebonite Tornado, thinking it was about the same. I found out in a hurry it has much more hook! It sat unused until this season, when I had it regripped from a fingertip to a semi- fingertip. This killed alot of the revs I was throwing the ball with. Now, I can throw it from between the 2nd and 3rd arrow, depending on the lane conditions. This ball works nice for a 'down and in' type throw. If lanes are too dry, it hits too high on the headpin and hangs corner pins (or splits...). Too many revs, and the ball skids in the backends and hits like a wet sponge. For a low-rev down and in shot, this ball is perfect.

My Punisher was drilled with the pin 4.5" from my pap with the cg center span no side weight. great transition/ predictible with excellent hitting power. Heavy shots tend to still carry. I have about 15 games on it with cleaning and repolish every 3 games. This ball will stay in my bag as #4 for awhile! #1 Heavy & 42ft+ long Oil Patterns = Ultimate Inferno w/ 500 grit #2 Med/Heavy 37-41 oil patterns= Total Inferno w/1000 grit #3 Med 40ft ish oil patterns= Total Infrno w/Polished #4 Med/Light 40ft ish oil Patterns= Punisher w/polished #5 Light/Dry 40ft ish oil Patterns= Groove DRYR w/polished

good for the price. it is, afterall, a midrange ball. after about 30 games, the ball doesn't react any more. oil completely kills the reaction. after about 30 games, the ball doesn't react any more. oil completely kills the reaction. after about 30 games, the ball doesn't react any more. oil completely kills the reaction. on dry lane a punisher can improve anyone's game. if yours is hooking too early polish it up a bit and watch it really punish the pins. some of the strikes i get with this ball really are ridonkulous. double messengers on the 7-10 , triple falls on the 6,7,10 , straight flushes , and stone 8s,9s, that are speared by other pins. the action on this ball id phenomenal. awesome ball and a good idea would be to buy more than one have them drilled differently. also thry pairing it with the rampage. a dealy dry team combo. and another thing the price of this ball is a real steal for $95.00. so buy one.

This ball is wonderful on all lane. When given the right amount of side rev and speed the ball will hit the pocket with thunderous strikes. I can play deep without worring that the ball will not come back. I can change my speed, holding positon, and type of release and make the ball work wonderfully. With the ball drilled straight the ball can be change to any bowlers style. On oily lanes the ball will spin in the idealistic direction but it will spin left, straight into the head pin in which it wasn't aimed at. Before I got the ball the guy who owned it before shot a 299 with it, but it was only used in the 9th and 10th frame. Today i shot 130, then i made a release change, shot 222 and 193 for a 545 series not bad for a new bowler.<scrip

Long, long ,long and strong to the pocket. Strong backend reaction and good pin carry on medium to dry lanes. Sometimes it hit the pins too hard and leaves 7 pins. One of the best ball`s i played with. My first three games with it was a 763 total pinfall. 258, 259, 246. So i think this is a good sign. Be careful with your ballspeed, because the reaction of the ball can be very different. When the lanes become dry or the outside part (outside first arrow) of the lane is dry and you love guttershots it is the right ball for you.

I bought this ball to try out on my regular house shot and i am very pleased with it. the ball is very predictable and moves very well to the pocket. it does give you a few boards left and right of your mark. its another great ball from brunswick. this ball for the price is a great value. if you need a ball for light oil to light - medium oil i would say this could be the ball for you. and like i said for the price its one of the best balls out there. i want to try out the rampage now. oh and the ball looks cool as can be. the color is awesome.

I got this ball off of eBay , cuz i've adored it forever! So i get it.. and plug it and drill it to how i want it.. with the pin above the bridge in the center w/the cg out a lil to the right. I polished it up and WOW! it really conquers alot of the house shots in tampa,fl so thats always good.. this ball was a replacement to my AWESOME EBONITE STINGER 2-PIECE LOW-FLARE PEARL! Its soo awesome but out of date! PUNISHER RULES! IT Goes right under my original inferno and ultimate inferno!

this is one of the great bvp balls made by brunswick. i once had a goalith and could never get it to move but i needed a ball with a little less hook so i decided to buy this ball and go at it...well this ball is now one of the aggresive balls in my aresnal for tournaments and most lane conditions. this ball hooks right up there with the absolute inferno and doesnt leave weak 7's although it does tend to leave some pocket splits from hitting so high. this is a great ball for anyone with a decent amount of hand

I'll be the first to admit that I was nervous as hell drilling up this ball, especially after not owning a new ball in over 6 years, so I totally expected a whole different feel to the ball. I drilled it up, and threw a game with it.............SHOT 230!! Blew me away. This ball glides down the lane, and makes a nice smooth arc back to the pocket. I missed my mark a few times with it......didn't seem to matter, the ball made it's way back to the pocket. Whether I swung it out to far, for missed to the left, still....didn't matter. I have a sneaky suspicion that this ball will work well on lanes with a medium heavy pattern as well. Especially with me, cause I tend to put a lot of rev's into the ball, and can control this ball all night long. So upset that didn't get one earlier........shame on me!!

For the price... i think it is a great ball... handles well even when there is carrydown. Great ball to pull out halfway through league-nights.. I have a 14 pounder and it still gets lots of pin deflections/wall shots.. I have gotten more brooklyn strikes with this ball than any other ball ive had.... I love the length on medium oil... The pearl coverstock allows this ball to go long then snap to the pocket... You must be able to adjust your line accordingly to the conditions because on medium-dry conditions, this ball will hook way to much... THis ball is also great for playing regular house conditions on non league days...

15.1LBS, 3OZ TOP, 2-3 PIN. 4 1/2 x 4 DRILL PATTERN WITH EXTRA HOLE TO BRING BACK TO 1/8 NEG. NOT AS SKID FLIPPY AS ADVERTISED. BALL ACTUALLY REVS UP PRETTY QUICK BUT COVER TAKES THE BALL DOWN THE LANE EASILY. FIRST TWO GAMES BOWLED 195-194 PLAYING INSIDE ON WOOD; ABLE TO GET TO POCKET FAIRLY WELL BUT CARRY WAS NOT AS EXPECTED; D*#% TEN PINS. SECOND OUTING W/BALL BOWLED 246-212-259 ON SYNTHETIC BUT DID NOT HAVE MUCH ROOM FOR ERROR. ONE OF THOSE BALLS WHERE A FEW GAMES ARE NEEDED TO DECIDE IF IT'S A KEEPER. GREAT VALUE FOR WHAT YOU GET.
