Brunswick Power Groove Purple/Silver Bowling Ball

Plastic slips. The Groove grips. And grip is exactly what you need to improve your game. When you’re ready to step up from plastic, get in the Groove. Ready to start hooking the ball? Move up from Plastic to Reactive coverstock technology. Compared to Plastic, Reactive coverstock technology increases traction and hooking action in the oil, and Reactive coverstocks can be sanded or shined to create large differences in hook potential. Reactive coverstocks also respond more aggressively to dry lane surfaces than Urethane coverstocks, increasing backend hooking action and hitting power. Coverstock: These three Power Groove Reactive balls feature a factory polished version Brunswick’s popular PowrKoil 17 Reactive coverstock. Factory polishing helpes create a more skid/snap reaction that saves most of its hooking action for the back part of the lane. First used on the Sapphire Zone, PowrKoil 17 is the strongest Reactive coverstock ever used on a Groove class ball.

this ball works best on med to med dry cond.it has very good length and a fair amount of hook for its price.it hits pretty hard for a ball with no real core (pancake with flip blocks).if you get into carry down put it away as you will blow past the break point.the only dislike i had was it seems to leave an absurd amount of dead ten pins.i tried not getting as deep but that left stone tens.if you have good rotation you shoulnt have a problem.as i said before im rotationally challenged.

(3" pin w/ 2.5 oz tw) I purchased the Power Groove as an experiment because I wanted to drop weight from a 16# to a 15# ball. It was a good choice. The lighter weight is more comfortable. For a $57 ball, this PG series really is impressive! It carries the pins very well and has a nice arc. I can see why other bowlers are impressed at the value/performance of this ball. OOB finish, third arrow, sweeping out to about the 8th board and BOOM on medium conditions. It really hooks nicely. The only thing that I have found puzzling is that I tend to track across a portion of the thumb hole at times. I didn't do this before. It is probably my release with a lighter weight ball. This is a good choice for ANY bowler. New or vet, young or not so young. It works and does a surprising job at that. Go ahead, get in the groove. Yeah! <scrip

I picked up this ball for 50 EURO (about $40) and it is the best 50 EURO i have spent on a bowling ball, this ball is highly recommended for the bowler with good revolutions - especially after 2 or 3 games when the oil starts to thin out, when u throw this ball - it will go about 45 foot before it thinks about breaking, and then it will break and break hard into the pocket. It has an excellent carry through the pocket. I even had the pin drilled to neutral, with no added topweight! This ball has helped finish off Series' - when you start with 2x 240 + and then the oil runs out with your more aggressive ball then change to the ball and you will not struggle to finish off your high series' any more!!!!!

Specs Ball : Power Groove Purple/Silver Pearl Pin : 3 inch pin Drill : 4 X 3 3/4 stacked. X Hole 2 1/2 inches below my PAP Surface : Factory Finish Weight : 15lbs Overall I wanted a ball that would get good length and be very aggesive on the backend. Many people told me regardless of the drill these balls are just not for medium oil boy were they wrong. This ball covers more boards than my stinger low flare particle (sanded down to 800 grit). I have thrown this ball in a heavy carry down situation that only my swamp monster could get through. It worked fine I moved over and play second arrow and the carry was great. I have been having trouble finishing off my arsenal for sport shots but I came to the conclusion that this ball with this drilling would fit nice. Fresh shot 32 feet I started off by playing up the boards with medium grip pressure and coming straight up the back of the ball. This shot didn't work well because it was over reacting on the backend but still got g
