PBA Inferno 2006-2007

Th PBA Inferno combines a Low RG core system with Brunswick's popular Activator MAX coverstock to create a high performance ball that matches up to a large range of bowlers styles and lane conditions. In the front-ends: Activator MAX coverstock is cleaner through the fronts, saving more reaction for the back-ends. This provides improved hitting power and back-end recovery while reducing sensitivity to breakdown in front-end lane conditions and on lane surfaces that are less than ideal. In the mid-lane: The Low RG core provides strong mid-lane recovery while its Activator MAX coverstock provides improved traction in the oil with a smoother, more effective reaction off the dry. This combination reduces over/under reaction by making the wet play less wet and the dry, less dry, effectively allowing the bowler to create more area. On the back-ends: The Activator MAX coverstock is powerful and continuous from the breakpoint through the pins. Improved traction in the oil al

I can say that this ball is the best one i have ever thown. I have had the ball 5 nights so far, and after 15 games I'm averaging 240. It just works well all over the lane. I've a 300 and a 792 with it. I have thrown a ton of strike with it any night i go to the bowling alley. I can say its so good i order two more to have in stock if it ever dies off. Everyone i bowl with is envious of how well the ball can recover from the outsides and hold in the middle of the alley.

This is a unique remodel of Brunswick's Scrochin' Inferno. It has the exact same specs (i.e. hook potential, length, breakpoint shape, RG average and flare potential) and reaction. To save backend reaction, I recommend to polish this ball. It will produce a more "skid-flip" reaction but it will still have a tremendous change in direction at the breakpoint. My best advice to anyone with this ball is to always try to stay behind the ball as long as possible at the point of release to maximize your axis rotation. The more axis rotation the better for a tiring ball such as this one

Brunswick - PBA Inferno 2006-2007 The PBA Inferno combines a Low RG core system with Brunswick's popular Activator MAX coverstock to create an ball that matches up to a large range of bowlers styles and lane conditions. In the front-ends: as with the Scorching Inferno is clean through the fronts Storing energy reaction for the back-ends. the mid-lane: reaction off the dry. This combination reduces over/under reaction by making the wet play less wet and the dry, less dry, effectively allowing the bowler to create more area. On the back-ends: Improved traction in the oil allows the Inferno to bite through the carry down and aggressively change direction without breaking loose from the lane. The strong rolling characteristics of the Low RG core make this move more readable allowing you to open up the lane. Coverstock creates lower, more active pin action for improved carry. Out of the Box: With its 600-grit wet sand finish the PBA Inferno will match up well on medium t

I drilled one of these up to get an idea of what it does, because we got a bunch in. I drilled it 5" x 4 3/8", pin 1 5/8" above midline. On our high volume house shot, this ball provided a strong and smooooooth ball roll. The dull, aggressive coverstock created a little more traction in the swamp in the middle of the lane than I anticipated, which was a nice surprise. When I tried to move left and open up the lane a little bit, the ball was very aggressive in the heads and midlane, and didn't save much energy to climb the hill on the backend. I really had to work hard to get the ball to hit with authority from inside. Overall, I think this ball would be a tremendous addition to any stoker/tweener's bag. On heavy oil it will give you something you might not expect. Also, this ball seems like it would be the perfect choice for a shorter length sport shot or the Cheetah PBA pattern, as it is smooth off the breakpoint. Those of you who loved your Scorchin' Inferno, shoul

I wasn't going to pay the extra $100 at the pro am but I figured that I would have the most unique inferno out their. I've had several offers to buy it for 150 - 200 bucks even after it's been used a little. I figured this ball will fit will in my bag as a medium oil ball that can tackle the carry down, and it defiantly does. I had to have my pro shop guy polish it on top of the 600 grit factory finish, the dull finish was just making the ball burn up and not save much energy for the back end. But when he polished it, the ball surprised me how consistent it was and the nice skid with a very strong ark. I rolled some nice 220's and 250's and the highest game of 278 with this ball so far. I can see it rolling a 300 on the right conditions, as long as I hit my marks :-/ Over all I gave it a 9 because it’s a very nice high quality ball, not a 10 because it didn't make me jump out of my bowling shoes. As long as I keep it clean and use my secret rejuvenation process I can see it won't be le
