all in all this is a great great bowling ball also has good carry if u hit higher in the pocket does require a lot of revs and this ball is consistent and has a powerful reaction when trying for 5 boards of hook helpful because it doesn't have a lot of carry down oil as long as its clean it will always hook but it soaks up oil if not wiped off before every shot...also soaks up oil for a long period of time if not cleaned after every day of bowling 10-20 games. i right now am still trying to get all of the oil out of the ball because i didn't no how to properly wah my ball

This ball is great. My dad got it as his ball to come back into bowling after a 20 year absence, when I started bowling. I asked him for it over 50 times. Finally, he gave it to me. I got the inserts changed, went out shot a practice game. The lanes were med dry, the ball was a little jumpy, but I just swung it out to the 2nd arrow. It came back and exploded the pocket. There is a Swamp Monster at the same proshop, I'm thinking about getting it for the Tough Shots Tour, that I bowl in.

I have this ball drilled layout 1E on the Brunswick layout sheet. It hooks early and is controllable. This ball recovers well when I bowl on a house shot, and is consistent on the sport shots that I bowl on. I typically throw this ball between 13 and 20 boards. Overall, I really like this ball and it is the first thing I put on the rack every time I bowl. It has a repeatable reactoin and it hasn't started to die out on me much yet. This ball is discontinued; however, if you can find one cheap, I would recommend buying it. *EDIT* 228-257-258 (743) on a sport shot

Would VERY HIGHLY reccomend this ball for someone wanting a good entry level price to step their game up..Like i said this ball will work on almost any lane condition. If you don't know the shot where you will be playing, bring along something a little less agressive in case they are dry (or the backends burn up) . You can generally work with it in heavier oil..just takes some tweaking...This ball tends to work just a little better on synthetic lanes than wood...haven't quite figured out why though..These balls are sellig for around 150.00 New in pro-shops or even cheaper on E-bay..definately worth looking for, at least in my opinio

i got this ball to overcome the medium oil and lots of carrydown at my bowling centre. it works really well on fresh oiled lanes. holds its line up to 40-42 feet and then starts to home in on the pocket. a very controllable ball i must say. the power of the core is just crazy! i even use this ball to convert my spares and the pins just fly around like they've been bombarded with Abrahms! another thing, its a BRUNSWICK...the coverstock is really really strong. you dont get a lot of scratches on the ball compared to a Hammer. nice job brunswick!<

I just got this monster bout a week back.. I picked up the ball as my local proshop was clearing out its old stock and decided to play around with this monster. It is a great ball to say the least, it has exceptional power at the backend. Often you think that the ball would be going to gutter but then to your amazement, the ball would hook back and into the pocket. Positive Label drilling was done on this monster, with the pin directly under my middle finger, with my palm supporting the heavy spot. I use this monster for light to medium conditions with heavy carrydown.. So far the monster has yet to dissapoint me. Overall it is a great ball for beginners who are learning to hook the ball and a great ball for advanced bowlers who are looking for a reliable and controllable ball for light and medium conditions.. for light conditions I would recommend Sling Blade though.

Brunswick's Monster Green Pearl is the first Monster i had! Drilled pin on top of middle of fingers with CG in palm, this ball goes down far and snaps HARD! So hard it can go through a 6-10 ! Polished factory finish, this ball is impressive and got me hooked on to the monster series... The impact it had was great!~ No worries except for leaving pin 10, which at times is frustrating as you see it snaps into pocket hard with a "ringing" pin 10 left! But nonetheless, a ball which i started out with, with great memories i had with it!

ball is very versatile this is my second review on it. the first review the ball had compound polish on it and cleaned with "clean n' dull". this one is polished with ebonites extended polish and cleaned with "clean n' polish". the ball retains alot of energy for the backends perfect for the nationals mixed tournament in reno. when everything was checking up i would usually turn to my shooter but unfortunately i only brought 4 bowling balls and the shooter wasnt one of them. but then i then realized that i had my monster that was just polished up with me so i tried it out during practice. the ball couldnt really grab the lane until i revved it up then it was goin good. shot 162,172,and 267 a 601 series not bad but i felt i couldve done better. over all this ball can be versatile in many ways. slightly dull the cover the ball can recover boards. shine it up the ball retains lots of energy for the backends.

this ball was crazy! I bowled in a Nationals tournament in Quebec and it was amazing on the first day! I was averaging over 220 on the first day! it was just crazy. And the carry it hit hard! and i MEAN HARD hit just like one of them lane 1 bowling balls. it was drilled to skid/flip and it is a great drilling. at the tournament i was at everyone was asking wat ball are you throwing?? And I proudly said a Brunswick Monster Green Pearl. Thanks Brunswick for this amazing ball you made! Just to bad you guys discontinued it. Thanks again!

I love this ball, this was my first ball and I still use it today. I have used this ball on just about every condition possible and have always found ways to put up good scores. Ball has good length and an explosive backend. Simply crushes the pins! I would recomend this ball to anyone just starting out or to some one who has been bowling for years. It is a very versitle ball that goes with me everytime I bowl. I can't really say anything to negative about this ball, I would just stay within the balls original paramiters - not really dry- and not really oily- it is made for medium-dry to medium oil conditions and that is where it works the best.

Overall a nice ball for light oil or late shift conditions. It reads the break easy and makes an aggressive turn at the break point. Does tend to leave the corners more than usual on flush shots but hammers them home if you tighten up your line. High flush will have pins flying all over the place with great carry and light pocket hits will have the pins dancing all over the place because of the aggressive entry angle. Fortunately, you can still add this ball to your bag for around $40 on eBay. Overall a recommended ball for tougher conditions and it will make you more money than it costs!!

This ball is still working great for me. Ive bowled at least 300 games with it and its is still hitting like a beast on a mission. Just all the free pins that fly around looking for that stone 9 or 10 pin is out of control. I do leave some funny splits but that os my fault for not throwing the ball the way it needs to. I have played many conditions with this ball and have came out with success each and every time except on dry. This ball is my favorite ball in my bag and will be that for a long time or until there is a ball that can be as consistant as this one.

I'll start out by saying I'm a real beginner to bowling. I bought this ball after getting my interest sparked back into the game, but I've always thrown the straight house ball. I have to say, that this ball is wonderful. I usually bowl around 130's.. my first few games (first time throwing hooks ever) 78, 94, 126, and finally a 156. From a beginners point of view, this is a great ball. That's my first time bowling with it, and I'll have to practice with it some more but I LOVE it, it's great. Very forgiving.

This is a great ball overall. You can use it on almost any condition except dry. This ball does not act like a pearl ball though, it hooks on heavy oil almost like the icon300 does except it goes longer. The snap on this ball is great, and it has so much over-all hook its scary. I think you should try this ball, it could make the worst bowler look good. It made me a better bowler and it will make you one too. So good luck bowling and have fun. go and try this ball. It is $89.95 on Bowling.com <

this ball hits very hard.and does the work for you.and makes your game alot easier.when used on the right conditions.med-oil is the best for this ball.this is one of my favorite balls.like to use it alot.light oil ball may move and break alittle to soon.if you do not throw hard and fast.but on the right conditions it slides smooth and hits the backend hard and moves the pins around.this is a solid ball to have and you will love this ball.just keep this ball shinny and take care of it to keep it in like new condition.XXXXXXXXXXXX

If you are a stroker, this thing will make you look like a goddamn hero. For me, the thing goes deep, and comes in at the last second, in a nice, tidy hook. I get amazing carry with it, have thrown a lot of shots that shoulda been splits, etc, and STILL got a strike. I had a few games with the lanes shot, that I had 7-8 brooklyn strikes. At first I fought it, but this thing will let you get away with stuff like that. FREE PINS out the wazoo. Go moonlight or no-tap bowling, and people will worship you. If you are just starting out, and want to get a fair average quickly, I highly recommend. Very forgiving. Great for "slop" bowlers, too. It has a tendency to fool you, you think the ball will flatten out, and it changes its mind at the last second. I got this puppy off Ebay new for $50 delivered. I almost feel guilty........

Oh My God, this ball is simply amazing. This is by far the best ball I have ever thrown. One of the greatest perks about this ball is that its a great looking ball that performs. When I first got this ball drilled i was like ok, i should go test it. Got to my lane threw first ball about ohhhh arrow and I though oh this a great way to start this game. I thought I had thrown a gutter when I head this massive explosion on my lanes, so i look back and there is no pins at all. My first series I bowled was a 698 not bad but good. You should get this ball, it really is the greatest ball on the maket along with the whole Monster series

Great ball Pairs well with the purple monster but this ball is way better. I've upped my average greatly with this ball throw 6 strikes in a row with ease. High game with this ball 235 clean game. This ball has always worked well since the day i got it. Would not give this ball up for anything. This ball works on every part of the lane. When my bowling style changes the green monster is right there to help me win some money. This ball earns me bragging rights for a few games here and there over all its a shame they cancled this ball and screwed with the monsters.

I really like this ball. Fist time bowling was amazing. I thougt for sure it was going to the gutter but not the case. This ball has excellent snap and roll through the heads and simply crushing the pins like a truck. Works well on all lane conditions very little adjustment needed to keep this ball going. I keep the same texture that the ball came with and find that it cleans up nicely. If you have a ball spinner, you will find it very easy to maintain the pearl coverstock. This ball is a big part of my arsenal and is used quite often. Strongly suggest this ball for sport shots as well.

This is a great ball to fit imbetween your "hook monster" and "straight ball". This is a good ball on the normal league condition. It will hook in the oil that is given but still has enough power to mix light if you hit those dry ousides. I love this ball for houses with block patterns, its strong and begins making a late move and then just crushes the pins. I forgot to mention I am a right hand bowler 18mph above avg revs, power stroker, I drilled this ball with the pin above my middle finger and the cg in the center of my grip, giving me a strong backend movement. Dont be fooled. This ball flares a ton.
