Brunswick Intense Inferno Bowling Ball

To expand the Inferno line, Brunswick engineers set out to create a new Inferno that delays its hooking action further down the lane while retaining the recovery and hard arcing back-end reaction the Inferno line is known for. That ball is the Intense Inferno featuring Activator+ coverstock Activator+ is a new version of Activator coverstock technology that is a better match-up for the medium RG core system designed to delay the Intense Inferno's hooking action. More aggressive in the mid-lane and back-ends. Activator+ has a "Stuck to the Lane" quality that improves mid-lane recovery and the ability to handle carry down when compared to any coverstock Brunswick has used on a medium RG ball. The Intense Inferno uses a new medium RG, medium differential Inferno family core that complements the Activator+ coverstock increased traction creating the most angular Inferno to date. Smoothly blended lane conditions will especially showcase the mid-lane tractio

intense definately describes this ball. It can be intense in a good and a bad way. when you've got a clean lane without carrydown build up yet you can rack up intense pressure on your opponents. but when the carry down is there it starts moving when it wants too and can't get to the roll stage causing a lot of 9-7 splits for me (lefty) and creating a lot of intense pressure on yourself. for me if i dont get a skid-hook-roll phase I can't get the true power out of this ball. also this ball needs a lot of manteinance because it picks up a lot of oil and dirt on the lane. overall i believe this a good bowling ball and it will stay in my arsenal for a long time.

This ball is sweet it even has more devistating hooking and hitting power than my raging inferno which hits the pocket like a mack truck jack-knifing. If you like massive pin action and blistering the rack from down town this is the ball for you. The inferno line is brunswick's best ball line ever in my opinion.Even if you don't like brunswick because you say it hooks to early just give the inferno line a try. the new activator coverstock is longer and stranger than most balls out there I highly recomend it to all.Viva la Inferno!

I am really impressed with this ball.I like the read it provides me with because I know what I can expect it to do.I can play a variety of different angles and speeds and hand positions and this ball is just as predictable as any before.I have found it very well suited even with it's factory finish polish to either med.heavy or the sport condition. If you need a ball to give you a predictable read and consistent reaction well guess what, you've found your match!Another phenominal job by Brunswick.I absolutely can't get enough of their high quality products!!!

I tried out Brunswick's Intense Inferno to see how it compares to my Blazing Inferno. Both of these balls are extremely similar. For one they both can go through dry heads without a problem. They also prefer to skid rather than roll and can hook from any angle. Both of these Infernos excel at broken down lane conditions. But my biggest problem with my Blazing Inferno is carry. Usually, I don't have this problem but sometimes I get ringing 10 pins or I leave the 7 pin even after the 4 pin zips through the pindeck. When I used the Intense Inferno, it had way better carry and usually tripped the 10 pin by a messenger. I get carry like that from my RS1. I don't get messengers like that from my Blazing Inferno. I think it is because of the coverstock. Activator+ seems to have much better carry and hit along with being more durable than the original Activator. To sum all of this up, the Intense Inferno is a very improved version of the Blazing Inferno and I recommend this for brok

It may not be a fair review, but, I had the ball drilled with a pin 2 inches from the CG and the pin kicked to the palm and the pin below the ring finger. I had some great hits with it but that came with LOTS of practice to figure out what area to play. I am going to plug it and change the drilling to allow me to play closer to the second arrow and maybe up the boards. When I was able to use it, I was able to get length and a nice carry but not often. I'm not going to bury it YET, but if the change in drilling does not help, It was be a lovely gift to someone.

Layout: Pin below the ring finger, CG kicked out an inch, weight hole 3" from CG placement! First Brunswick I have ever thrown and very impressed. As I was told, this ball has a hard arc toward the pocket. This is a backend type of ball, meaning you can get it out and will get back to the 1-3 pocket or 1-2 if your a lefty. Backend is the word that sums this ball up most. Ball is made for moderate to heavy oil with alittle carrydown! This is one ball I have been able to play very deep inside the middle with and it still snaps back to the pocket. Overall, Brunswick gets a plus in my book!<scr

I got my Intense inferno for christmas and not to long after I had it I almost shot my first 300, starting off with the front 9. The TEN pin stoped me from geting there, I finished up with a 279. This ball ball is not one of the best brunswick balls .It has a very smooth and controlable hook in oil but when they dry out it is very hard to control with out puting lot of speed on it. It is also good for short pattern because it is a longer type of bowling ball. After you have bowled a lot of games with this ball it tends to lose its reaction, it is best to get it resurfaced at least every 2 months, or ever 30 games. I would not recommend this ball to any one looking for a new ball. GO BRUNSWICK!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday nigth i bought this ball, after using a ultimate inferno and without practice i started playing and i shoot in my forst line 212 and i decided to used in the other five lines of: 201, 203, 207, 199, 225. In a series of 1247 of 1800. The next day I averaged 190+ and i think i like this ball, is firing and it hooks really great. great great great great great great great great ball I think this ball can be a classic high perfomance. The activator + coverstock makes a very different reaction between a activator coverstock inferno, blazing inferno, ultimate inferno and also another different brunswick balls.

i bought this ball a while ago and held off a review till i really knew what this ball is all about. i drilled this ball with a 3 3/8 pin with the pin under my ring finger and the mb about an inch from the thumb . with my ball speed this lay out is my favorite. first time i used this ball i realized there had to be some changes either with the cover or layout. this ball would go way to long with strong snap which is very hard for me personally to read. after a couple of times out with this ball i decided to scotch brite this ball with the green. this gave the ball more of mid lane and made a world of difference in the readability of this ball. when it hit the pocket it did carry a ton but i feel this ball is to condition specific for my arsenal. if you like a big snap this is the ball for you. over

This ball has a big backend and works better on a long condition. Condition is singular because I have found only one type of shot this ball works on so if you need that type of ball then go after this one. Does have tremendous carry if you can get lined up with it. It can also start jumping on the backend and thats a big sign to put it back in the bag. My word of advice is to wait until this ball goes on close out before you buy it. Dont really have much else to say. a a a

The ball started off having the most backend i have ever seen out of a brunswick ball. I had it drilled straight up with the pin right above the fingertips, and it hit hard and drove well. But after i had it for about 2 months it just died and either took off for no apparent reason or it just slid...slid................................slid...it was an excellent ball to start off with but after a while it just died...i may try to bring it back in a while to see if my throw has changed any or maybe some other factor, but the ball itself is good it is just too inconsitent for me......correction for me....i figured out how to take care of the ball with a lot of extender polish and now it dominates for every lane condition basically...first ball out of the bag last ball in that is all i have to say

good ball for medium oily lanes, works best for me on house shots, it can get uncontrolable when it hits the dry, and also it has a good color, i can play the inside line with this ball, if in the pocket 99% it will be a strike, sometimes leaves 10 pins filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler fillerv filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler filler fille

Slide, slide, slide. This ball slides down the lane, sometimes it grabs, and sometimes it doesn't. Might sound bad, but somehow it is still forgiving and I bowl slightly above my average with it. Slow down too much, and like most balls it will eventually grab hard and cut across (which is really only useful with certain pin schemes) It is a Real easy ball to throw, it doesn't require alot of work or effort. Don't use it for outside pins, it will float on oil in the center of the lane and not cross, or it will break away from your single pins at the last minute. Fun ball to own, just don't buy it until it goes on sale.

I actually have 2 intense infernos that i really like alot!. The one i am currently reviewing has the pin above the ring an cg on my center of grip with an axis. This ball gives a nice length down the lane an makes a very angular turn into the pocket. Carry with this ball is excellant an both of my intense infernos i can open up the lane with ease. When you can combine: carry, hitting power, an area in a ball it will always get a 10 on my rating scale. Also i keep this ball clean with neotac Hook - It.. does a great job an keeps a consistant reaction on the ball!

Bowler Info: Lefty 450rpm's, 18mph Ball speeds. Ball Info: 3 Inch Pin, 3oz TW Drilled, Pin above and sligtly to the left of the ring, Cg under ring. After coming to the conclusion that my first Intense is the most condtion specific ball i've ever owned. I desided to try another one with a little different drill. This one is much stronger then the first Intense but still weaker then my Zone Classic. This one still needs some dry to move. The Intense is much more angular then the original Inferno, and is much easier to throw when the heads start to go. The Intense can get very squirty in oil. And deffinitly doesn't like carrydown. Brunswick's charts are very misleading with this ball, it is NOT stronger then my Original Infernos. But is still a awesome ball, and one of the best looking balls ever!

This ball is really intense on the lanes.... I had it drilled so it would go down even further on the lanes with a moderate backend reaction and what a combination it created. I bowled with this ball on a carry down shot and just like advertised the ball sticks to the lane through carry down and absolutely carries like I've never seen before. The hits are so perfect with this ball and it doesn't require you to hook it alot to get the good reaction with the pins. I definitely recommend this ball more than any other I've bought lately and that includes: Storm Ace, Columbia Drive, Storm Hot Rod Pro Stock Pearl, Columbia Full Throttle. I've heard alot of people don't like this ball but they obviously don't know what they are talking about. The ball is great and I definitely am going to go buy the Ultimate Inferno now to complement my Intense and Raging Infernos.... I am sad to note that after approximately 45 games, this ball has lost all its juice and has completely died

I bought this ball off of ebay for $96.00 dollars brand new from luxorbowling.com. This ball was first quality and not a blem. I had it drill at Sierra Bowl in Fresno,Ca By R&S Pro Shop. Right out of the box I bowled a 217 and a 191 due to my error when I let it go to wide. This ball tracks up nice and hits the pocket hard and even if you don't hit the pocket you can go brooklyn and still get a strike. If you go in to light this ball will create enough pin action to only leave one pin standing. This ball when I got it was 15LBS. 2.7OZ of Top weight and a 2-3" pin. I had drilled for medium lane conditions using the brunswick chart # 2L with the ring finger under the pin and above the CG mark. This ball track up really good and hits the pocket hard. I tried Storm equiptment for about a year and had hardly any success with the X-Factor or Duece, but since I have switched back to Brunswick balls my avg. has been raise by 25-30 pins I also bowl with the Raging Inferno,Danger Zone, Lightin

this ball had it riser pin right smack between my fingers and thumb and yet it still hooked. But when i started to slow down due to fatigue it hit pin 7.wow. then i had to adjust and put 10-less revs onto it still hooked 20 over boards. mind u i was bowling on a freshly oiled lane ( when i reached ) which woz abt 7 games b4 i was "tired" . and i would hav to disagree with bryan as when i threw it at 1.28 sec< barring my friend's reaction time!> with minimal revs (5-8) it only hooked 6-10 boards....

This is the next generation of Activator coverstock from Brunswick. In talking with the good folks at the Big B, they informed me that this cover is designed to be cleaner through the fronts & midlane, which it is, yet "stay's stuck to the lane" when carrydown is present, which it does. Anyone who is using this as a "fresh oil" ball is not using it on the proper condition. Also, anyone who is using it as a dry lanes ball is using it on the wrong condition. The Intense Inferno is DESIGNED to be used on everthing inbetween "fresh" & "dry". As with any ball, please use it as it is supposed to be used.

well i set this ball up to go long and not turn very hard...THAT DIDNT WORK...this is the biggest hooking ball i have ever had and it isnt even supposed to do that. i dont understand how anyone could like this ball unless they had no revs and threw the ball a million miles per hour. this ball is freaking ridiculous, and i would recommend that they discontinue it soon, becuase there is no lane that has enough oil for this ball. i have 2 things to say about this ball...1 this ball is a piece of crap...2 this ball is still a piece of crap. the intense inferno is for pansies...enough said<scri

I have faster than average ball speed, so this ball does well for me. I love any ball that pays for itself the first night. I had a plan to play the light oil pattern inside and that's what I did. There was some oil in the middle. Started the first game hitting 18 at the arrows going out to 9. Moved left when the oil broke down and ended up aiming at 22 and not getting out to the right quite as far. Always turned the corner! If I did scoot it out right, sometimes it would roll right up flush, but other times if maybe I didn't get all the fingers in it, carried light hits very well. I left a few ten pins and a few four pins. A couple of big smiles when I carried the ten slightly off-pocket. Left 3 splits, and I deserved them. You can't roll this ball on the dry boards. When I failed to put it down far enough left(in the oil), I paid for it. I usually don't do well rolling a new ball for the first time, but I had this drilled up for the condition and it worked. Very satisfied with the pu

This ball reacted wonderfully out of the box, though its reaction over all took a few games to settle to a level of regularity. I have used this ball on everything from bone dry to heavy oil, and while I wouldn’t recommend this on heavy oil, with minor adjustments it still can be played, if you really desire, and on light oil it seems to burn up little energy at all and still hit extremely hard. After acquiring this ball, my league play has improved greatly, and my average has gone up by approximately 20 pins. Overall I am glad I have bought this ball, it is a wonderful addition to my line-up.

I use a combianation of the intense, ultimate, and blazing infernos for my best lineup in years. The intense is a smooth rolling ball ---a little more controlled than the original. it rocks on medium conditions. You can play heavy oil with it however a 16-second arrow line is needed to make sure it doesnt dies out on the oil. I was pleased with this one ball not just due to my good games with it, but due to the type of reaction it gives me compared to my other balls. I got the pin (im a right handed) under the ring and bumped out., and with the cg i have it not stacked but slightly angled to the right. I have the balance hole to the side. Drilling it for an earlier hook is the recommended drill pattern in most proshops. The drill pattern I recommend is the one i got due to the fact it doesn't let the ball go to long so the ball has more predictability. I shot a 257 and a 226 in practice with it and a 246, 234 in a recent tournament. It's a great hitting ball on the right condition. If

This ball is great i love how its drilled (pin above ring finger) this ball has a really nice backend for me i love how it goes down the lane fruther then just snaps in and clears the rack. IM a power stroker, this ball matches my game perfect, i also have the monster frenzy, the thing, the thing returns, retro ressurection, i won the retro ball but its a good ball aswell as the others. If any one wnats a ball that clears the rack w/ some power this ball is just what u need great ball. 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000wordswords words words
