Layout: 55° x 4 7/8” x 35° When laying this ball out, I was looking for a ball that would fit between my Mastermind Intellect, and the Fortera Exile. We went with the same layout as the Intellect, since the cover is similar to the Exile. This ended up being the correct combination, as my first 3 games out of the box with it was 816. The ball was clean through the heads like the Exile, revved up in the mid lane, not as strong as the Intellect, and had a backend reaction between those two balls as well. I compared this ball to a few balls. Since we laid it out to be between the Intellect and the Exile, naturally I compared it to those two. All three balls were similarly clean through the fronts. The Intellect picked up the strongest in the mid lane, and the Intrigue and Exile were similar, but the Intrigue was a tad earlier. Because of this earlier roll, the Intrigue isn’t as sharp in the back as the Exile, but this isn’t what I was expecting. I also compared this ball to the Brute. I found that the Brute gave me a symmetrical compliment to the Intrigue. If one of the balls wasn’t carrying, or the shape just didn’t look right, I could easily go to the other one and it would be the answer. --The opinions expressed are solely those of the writer and not of Brunswick Corporation--

Diff.-.016 Color: Red Pearl/Black Solid The Fortera Intrigue is a little earlier through the heads than the Fortera Exile. The Fortera Hybrid cover create a slightly earlier look through the midlane. The Intrigue is less angular when it encounters friction at the backend than the Exile The Hybrid cover helps keep the Intrigue from going to long, but has a early revving motion of the Exile. The ease through the heads helped store up axis rotation for the backend without giving up much traction in the midlane. The aggressive move at the breakpoint sets up nicely for the tremendous down lane recovery. The core and cover combo allows the Fortera Intrigue to quickly respond to the friction, and keep going when other balls would be quitting and have a tendency to stand up. Going around the pattern is made a whole lot easier when you know that the ball isn't going to roll-out.When the ball does encounter friction is impressive I feel that the Fortera Intrigue can be used as a heavy oil ball for players with slower ball speed and a medium oil ball for players with speed and higher revs. In my opinion, the Intrigue is a very versatile ball.It has the ability to handle shots pointed at the pocket from five and in to the five arrow. http://www.bowlwithbrunswick.com/bal...0Ball%20Launch Fortera™ Intrigue | Brunswick Bowling.webloc Angela Wilt Brunswick Regional Staff Member.
